I wasn’t very impressed with Uncle Wok. I ordered for pick-up, and it was ready after about 15 minutes, which was good. But the actual restaurant wasn’t particularly appealing, I was glad we hadn’t decided to eat there. As far as chinese take out goes, the portions were comparable to others, and similarly priced, but there wasn’t any part of my meal that I was impressed with. The soup was fine, crunchy noodles seemed stale. We got the sesame chicken and broccoli beef, and both were meh. Also, they only came with steamed rice, there was no option for a side of fried rice. Overall, I wouldn’t go back, I’ve definitely had better.

I have ordered take-outs from here for years. Good food and good value. Prior owners knew me well. However, it recently changed hands. The new owners trim back the portions. OK But today, the food was not as good as it used to be. For example, the Orange Beef, which is my favorite, used to be crunchy tangy and a little spicy. Today, it was gummy bland and way too sweet. The typical $ 5 buffet crap. Too bad, I will miss ordering Orange Beef from the place around the corner.

I always order delivery. Meets my expectations for takeout, not the best Chinese in town, — Good and reliable. Quick to deliver and friendly.

Uncle wok has been my go to place for Chinese food since I moved to the area. They deliver quick and I have always had great service from them. The food always arrives hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend!

Very delicious. I love fried rice and mY co-worker and boss also love foods there. Very fast and you can just order by phone and then drive to there to get your lunch. But you’d better call restaurant directly or order.

DISGUSTING! Crab rangoon was nasty and fried rice had no flavor. Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. Service is horrible and food is gross.

i am on vacation in dallas for the night and ordered from uncle wok. Worst Chinese i have ever had. I called to tell them that the food was not very good. They followed up by telling me that i only wanted free stuff. It is the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. PLEASE do not eat here. The service is terrible and the food is bad!!!

Have ordered from Uncle Wok several times over the past few months. Had several different dishes usually via delivery as I tend to work til later in the day. Overall, the quality, portion size, and temperature of the food is good. Delivery times seem to be around 40 minutes on average. Only a few instances of unusually slow delivery. All in all a solid, consistent operation.

This place doesn’t deserve any star. No customer service! The lady in the front is so rude! I asked for chili oil and cup for water. She didn’t give me any. This place is stingy. Maybe she needs extra money to make her son to go to medical school. She brags about her kids. We don’t give a sh*t LADY !!

It says«Chinese Fast Food» Look my fellow Unilocalers, this is straight up American delivery food. Its good, they know my nephew(from previous orders & tips), so its hot and fast delivery. But its«Nuthin Fancy». I will never go sit in this restaurant and eat, but I“ll buy next time at my nephews. 2.5 stars

They had terrible service. We ordered delivery a bit after 9 pm on a Wednesday night. It took about an hour and fifteen to an hour and a half to show up, and when we called to check the status of our food, no one answered the phone. The food was worse than the service. The quality of beef and chicken was awful-it tasted like they used the parts of the animal you generally don’t eat. Apparently the beef tasted very old too, as in close to expired. And the brown rice that came with my boyfriend’s meal was cold, chewy, and old. It may have been since we ordered towards the end of the night, but still, an Asian restaurant shouldn’t serve crappy rice. It’s not hard to make. They even had subpar egg rolls, which was surprising. Nothing that my boyfriend ate was acceptable. It was all low quality and tasted old. He was very disappointed. My chicken friend rice was mediocre-not great but not terrible. Except for the chicken in it, which was awful. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookies, which were not made by the restaurant. Generic Chinese food is hard to mess up, but Uncle Wok did it. We won’t be ordering from here again.

We bought the lo mein and the garlic chicken entrees and I was unimpressed. It wasn’t awful but it was just so bland. Certainly nothing special. It was pretty cheap though and super easy to order, but I don’t think I will ever order from here again.

We’ve ordered food from this restaurant always with very good luck — my daughter is a Chinese food nut! We always order a minimum of $ 35 worth of food for delivery. Two large soups, three entrees, egg rolls, fried rice and and order of dumplings. They have forgotten things in the past however this time they gave us one entrée incorrect and one soup incorrect. We called hoping they would send out the correct entrée and soup — - no chance! The woman screamed in broken English«What do you want me to do?» She continually argued with us claimed if we had eaten any of it she wasn’t taking it back– we hadn’t touched the soup so we asked to at least exchange that. No luck! The very rude woman refused– they lost a very good customer and God only knows what they would do to our food if they did exchange it! Stay away rude owner with poor business sense!!!

I ordered almost twenty dollars worth of food from this place, including egg foo young. The delivery guy forgot the white rice. I called them up and told them. I was bluntly asked, «Well what do you want me to do about it?» Err umm, I don’t know. How about you have the guy bring me my rice? How am I supposed to eat egg foo young without rice? This place won’t be getting any of my hard-earned money again. Besides, the food sucked anyway.

Consistently good food, good service and fast delivery. The menu is diverse and you can order steamed items without sauce if you are trying to eat healthy. This is mostly for take-out or delivery, I’m not sure anyone eats on site. Their delivery area is generous.

We received a menu in our community magazine yesterday and decided on a whim to give this place a shot. We have so many sub-par experiences with Chinese food in Dallas proper, what could it hurt? For the price, these guys do a great job. It’s your traditional«Americanese» food. Flavors were good, price was right, serving sizes were large and could be split between two people, and service was friendly and prompt. Couldn’t ask for more. We will be back to give some other menu items a try.

Surprisingly good amerisino food, especially if you’re grease averse. Lo-mein is good, thick noodles, lots of vegetables, not swimming in anything. Chicken curry has no coconut, just broth/curry/cornstarch sauce, decent chicken, lots of vegetables. The crab rangoon was most impressive to me. A little light on filling, but it actually tastes like crab. You can eat this with food instead of as a dessert, and see the bits of(real or fake) crab inside. A bonus for this and the egg roll is that they know how to fry things here. The grease stains in the bags were minimal, and there was no explosion of oil when I bit into egg roll, rangoon, or the fried rice for that matter. Tried three soups, wonton, egg drop, and hot and sour. Wonton is the most standard. Scallions, broth, dumplings. Very salty. Egg drop is saturated orange/yellow of egg yolks, and it reinforces that it actually tastes of egg yolk. Very eggy soup. Deliciously eggy. Would be great for breakfast. The usual egg stuff floating around, but streets ahead of a standard egg drop. Sweet and sour is similarly a step above the rest. Very dense with mushrooms, tofu, bamboo shoots. Pleasantly bitter and sour, not very spicy. Corn starched to a consommé like consistency. Favorites: Egg drop soup, sweet and sour soup, rangoon. Serious standouts from other chinese places. In NYC chinese takeout is everywhere and this would easily be my standby, in Dallas the quality has leaned greasy and subpar, this is likely one of the best around.
