I drove to downtown Dallas and planned to visit The Dallas Arts District. After I found street parking, I walked for about one block to the museum. I learned that the Crow Collection of Asian Art’s Gift Shop has a separate entrance from the museum. When I entered the building, someone enthusiastically greeted me from behind the counter. I explored the little store’s beautiful gifts; my eyes lingered on the porcelain décor, luxuriously designed journals, special edition books, postcards, and other special occasion items. I would never send the postcards because they look so beautiful! I am glad that I took a look at the pretty store before I went next door to the museum!

Nice little shop to get Asian imports. I bought a nice soup set with chop sticks on sale. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I definitely will return, they have an awesome collection of imports. Keep up the good work guys.

There are so many indescribably cute things at The Lotus Shop. Waving solar powered neko? Check. Assorted training chopsticks with fun animal toppers? Check and check. Kokeshi Samurai Bento containers? I don’t even pack my lunch but I so freaking need this! CHECK! They’ve got Panda tea sets and origami sheets aplenty. They’ve got sushi erasers and Money Toads galore. You want Buddha figurines? Here, they have twenty… But, the prices are more expensive then what you’ll find online. So, if you’re desperately wanting that plush of Chen Rong and can’t wait for the time it takes to ship things, go ahead and fork out the extra bucks here.

I am really interested in Asian culture, so I truly enjoyed visiting the museum and definitely the quaint Lotus Shop as well. There were many beautiful items here, including shibori scarves, jewelry, tea pots and accessories, ceramics, art, books… but I was drawn to a few particular items: page flags(I use them daily when reading books and was about to run out) — which were decorated with bamboo, koi fish, pebbles, and other Japanese-looking themes, cute cards(like You are PHO-nomenal with a bowl of phở on the front), and sushi socks of course! I have a huge sushi and Japanese-food-related collection(of random things with sushi on them) so I had to get these too. Definitely stop in here for beautiful items or a gift for someone who likes Asian art and culture!
