TGI Friday’s

Worst service I have ever recieved at a restaurant. They were not very busy, but it took an hour and a half for 2 of us to have lunch. They messed up our drink order and our food order. Finally had to ask a different waitress to correct it because our waiter never did after I asked. Said he was getting our check. Waited 20 minutes before finally asking the manager for it. Horrible experience, will never go back to this location. Train your waiters before letting them serve customers.

Terrible Management and slow kitchen, came here late on a friday night to grab a bite after work, service was pretty slow, asked about the burgers, bartender insisted on a Jack Daniels burger, I ordered a different one. After waiting for 45 min they finally bring me a burger… the Jack Daniels burger that I never wanted, so i sent it back for the correct burger, the bartender apologizes and even says she will pay for my new burger out of her own money (very nice of her btw), then the shift manager apologizes and offers me mozzarella sticks while i wait, since the new burger would take another 20 min, which I reluctantly accepted. 20 min later no mozzarella sticks and no burger, so I mentioned the mozzarella sticks to the bartender. She checks with the kitchen and apparently the manager went back on her word and changed her mind because the bartender took care of my burger! How rude and tacky to try to save a couple dollars on an appetizer you personally promised, because your Own employee tried to do what was right! IMO the bartender shouldnt have had to comp my meal out her own pocket, the manager should have stepped in and actually took some accountability and definitely not try to punish me for their error. After an hour and a half, I just took the food to go. Dont expect accountability or honesty from management or a meal in a timely manner over here!

I understand it’s busy. I went to the bar to ask for a beer and the bartender asked where I was sitting, let her know I just wanted a beer. she said somethin in between her teeth and I told her never mind will go somewhere else. If they are this busy maybe they should not send people home. Glad this is my last week in Dallas and won’t have to come back here.

I keep meaning to Unilocal about this place. We’ve lived downtown for 7 years now. This place has provided disappointing service every single time. We’ve talked to managers and various staff many times. We’ve been promised changes many times. This place obviously continues to cater to random individuals who stop in, and definitely not locals who live near by.
We came in tonight to try to grab a bite. Again, giving this place an opportunity after 6 months or so. This time we had good service! Food was great. But…
While we were sitting there… a couple came through with their meal to go from Williams chicken. A comment was made to staff. The couple was allowed to continue sitting on the patio with their food from another establishment. Retaliation was also obvious as the staff pointed out that we were the ones who made a comment. Throughout the rest of our dinner we dealt with them as they were eyeballing us.
Sad. Bye!

I wish I could give this a –5 star, its so bad the service sucked. We wanted to sit outside and was told it would be a 39 – 40 minute wait. They only had one waitress and she was moving like a snail. Don’t waste your time coming to the West end to eat at this place. We decided to leave and go have dinner at Ellen’s where the ambiance was awesomestay away from T G I Friday’s

We came here at the tail end of the lunch rush on a monday. Service was awful, we had to flag down a server to take our order as nobody came to see us after 10 mins of waiting. Also had to flag down someone at the bar to pay our bill, which we asked for almost half an hour prior to this.
There are plenty of other options in the area, don’t go here.

There are so many good places to eat in Dallas, why would you waste your time here? We’d been walking around and decided to stop for a drink. So we waited… and waited… and waited. No one even so much as came over to our table. After about 15 minutes, I finally managed to get the waitress’ attention but she just stared at me then walked off. So we got up and as we were walking out the lady at the next table told me that we were the second table to get up and walk out just since they’d been there. Seriously, how do they stay in business? I guess only tourists go here. Would give it negative stars if I could.

I knew looking on Unilocal that it was already going to not be a good experience and that was the case! My family and I went to the Dallas Aquarium and this was the closest place within walking distance for us. We went on a weekday after the normal work lunch rush. The place was not busy in the least and we were the only ones waiting to be seated — which took 10 minutes. When we finally got seated it was in the very back of the restaurant with one side of the table against a wall so if someone needed out everyone had to get up and move. The waitress was really nice but our apps came out at the same time as our food, which took FOREVER to get!!! The food runners kept bringing food out to the wrong tables and everyone just looked lost. No matter what I won’t be going back to this place ever again!!!

Soooo… When we 1^st walked in yet again no greeting. We were thinking about going to the bar but it was dirty. Then my friend was about to grab a menu then a hostess came over and grabbed the menus and said, «Follow me». She sat us in the kitchen hunny! The booth had a rancid smell. Then she didn’t say anything and walked off! We were like, «Did we do something wrong? Why are we being punished by her!» Long story short our waitress Ashley was great & very down to earth! Kudos to you dear heart!

Horrible service wen it comes to just about everything, waiting for 2 hrs for a drink and anything else. Never coming here again. How Do you have one bar tender at night in a restaurant that’s located in the middle of city no excuse I think. I will not be coming here again the service is just to bad.

The all you can eat appetizers are a wonderful inexpensive surprise, with a great variety. It was more than enough, but make sure to clear your plate, for there are no take home boxes for this $ 12 deal!

Worst experience ever. I work in the industry so I am very lenient when I go out. I called to find out the hours and was greeted by a very unenthusiastic Latrice… She told me they close at 1am but that the kitchen closes at 12:45am. It was 10pm so I still decided to go in, at the door was again greeted by Latrice… Who basically said since we don’t want to sit at the bar we would have to wait. She never came back. We waited for about 5 – 7 minutes while she talked to coworker in the back. It was very slow only about 5 tables to be seen, and the only people who were actually working were the busser, and bartender. After waiting 5 – 7 minutes we started to walk out, and nobody asked us why. This neighborhood has gone to trash over the years, now I see why.

We went there for dinner and had a great experience. The food was wonderful and our server was very attentive. The drinks from the bar were on point as well (the Casamigo’s Strawberry ‘Rita is a must try). Definitely will be back to this location.

I don’t even want to give them one star. The service was horrible. It took them forever to come take our order. When they finally came out I ordered an appetizer and a meal. It took so long to get the appetizer out that it came out only five minutes before my meal which was a waste because I hadn’t finished my appetizer when the meal came out. My appetizer was potato skins. I asked for no onions and they gave me them anyway and when I told them to take it back and take the onions off they looked at me like I was crazy. Then they gave me the nastiest sour cream and I went to go ask for regular sour cream and found out it was a ranch sour cream that came with the potato skins although it didn’t say that on the menu. I would not recommend this TGI FRIDAYS to anyone. Don’t go!

I love TGI Fridays, The location at the West End is is where my husband and I had our first date and we often go back to celebrate our dating anniversary. This last time we went, our waiter informed us that they had this deal going on that you could get endless appetizers for $ 10. per person (thats if you wanted endless of just one kind of appetizer like spinach artichoke dip) if we wanted a variety of appetizers (from a list to choose from) it would be $ 12. per person. We decided to try this out and they had so many good appetizers to choose from! I was drinking a strawberry margarita which was really good and my husband had a house margarita which he says was equally as delicious. Our waiter was super nice and really good, he did a great job with checking on us to see if we needed to get more appetizers or drinks, he kept up with us and he was there as soon as we finished.
I really like this location, it looks so cool on the inside and it felt like i had plenty to look at. This location also has outside seating which i personally like and we would have done if it wasnt so cold out that night.

My boyfriend and I came here for Sunday date night. We just wanted something quick and that we knew would be good food. (It’s a chain. Their food is always good. Plus those commercials.) We walk in and there are a whole bunch of dirty tables to our left. The hostess is hanging by the computer with a waitress. After a few minutes, she waddles up there. You know, the pregnant waddle, nothing against her for it but you’re the hostess. Your job is to host people here. It’s actually the most important position in the establishment. She just looks at us and says two? She grabs the menus and heads towards the dirty tables. I look at my boyfriend and she looks at us and asks if we want a booth. She sits us in the only clean booth, right next to the kitchen. If you read all of the bad reviews, it says the hostess was rude. And she was. If everyone says this, maybe it’s time for a new hostess. I ordered some crown drink. They were out of the pomegranate that goes in it. No big deal. The same girl takes our drink orders and brings my boyfriends drink and then we never see her again. A guy takes our food order. We got some steak, asked for medium. It comes out well. He asks us to cut into it and make sure it’s cooked okay. I’m not waiting for them to remake it so I say it’s fine. We had to ask for share plates. I’m not expecting 5 star service, but when we say we’re splitting it, you could give us the plates to split it on if you’re not gonna split it for us. The taste of the food was fine. But the whole time we ate we watched the hostess follow the wait staff around talking. As we were leaving this family walked in and stood at the door. At this point she was standing with a server talking in the dining room. She let them stand their for a few minutes and then finally the waitress said «oh you can go get that». As we are walking out my boyfriend looks at me and says «should I tell them to go somewhere else»
Long story short… You need a new hostess bro. They can make or break your place. They are supposed to be at the door waiting to great the guest. Hell they should even open the door for the guest. The guest shouldn’t have to look around or wait to be greeted. Especially if they are waiting because the hostess is socializing with the wait staff. If she was bored, there was like 5 – 6 tables that needed to be cleaned off.
Oh and I didn’t see a manager once the whole time I was there. That could’ve stopped a lot of the issues.

They ignored us at the bar she was to bz. also there was a homeless lady that stayed 45mins begging while we ate. No enthusiasm and I’m not sure why but one server could not take our order for 15 minutes then all of a sudden he could while we watched him talk. But the drinks were good.

Not completely sure why this has so many bad reviews. I am sorry for the people who had a bad experience here. I will admit it took a little unusually long for drinks, but this is a great place. I waited a long time for my Burger but the wait was worth it! I ate it in like 3 – 5 minutes!

The food at this TGIF is obviously the same you’d get at any other, which is the only reason it’s getting more than a one star. We walked into the restaurant never having been to this location before and the host was not friendly at all. She then just looked at us and in the most pissy mood asked us where we wanted to sit. We don’t know! We haven’t ever been here before. Just sit us somewhere! We then proceed to order and meet our waitress who has the exact same attitude. If your salary is basically based on tips, you’d think to be a little more friendly with your guests. Don’t plan on going back.

Great place! I always get the sizzling chicken. It’s excellent! Servers are always great and their daytime host could run circles around me. She is amazing and very friendly.

My co-​workers and I have been here quite a few times during the lunch hour rush and have been very happy with the food service times and check out times.
Every time we approach the door they are opened for us by the friendly hostesses and we are taken to a table with no wait time even right at 12:30 on a Friday (busy time). Our food always arrives quickly and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The restaurant could use a bit more bussers as there are always a bunch of empty dirty tables and some trash on the floor but nothing that wouldn’t be the norm for a busy place during lunch hour.
I used the online calorie menu to find out what to eat that would work with my current eating plan and it was pretty easy and straight forward to use. I would recommend this TGI Friday’s.

TERRIBLE service.
We walked in and were not greeted by the hostess. We were a large group and when I asked for a table for 9, she stared and made no suggestion or did not seem to acknowledge me at all. I noticed two empty tables and suggested that they push them together. At that point she shrugged and agreed.
Once we were seated, it took over 15 minutes for a server to come by and take our drink/​appetizer orders. Drinks and appetizers took another 10 – 30 minutes to make it to our table.
The entrees ordered also took 20 – 30 minutes to get to our table. My order was the last to arrive. The chicken was cold and the pasta was room temperature. Our drinks were never refilled unless you grabbed a server and specifically asked for a refill.
I would never recommend this TGIF. The hostess and servers were working as if they did not want to work there and the service suffered terribly because of it.

Yippee, sat down at TGIF for a Midweek cocktail and boy was that the best move… give it a try

For once I wish that there was a zero star selection. My boy friend and I decided to come here for late dinner after seeing a play and yes, we did get seated right away by a rude host who didn’t greet us she simply said «follow me» and «here’s your table, your server will be here soon» but after that 10 – 15 minutes passed by and not one person came to our table to greet us or to take our drink order. So we just got up and left. If the first 10 minutes was bad, what can you predict about the rest? Such a disappointment.

I was in the area for work only did their take out while there. I don’t know her name but the female bartender with the cool hair and tattoos was awesome and friendly. I only got salads and soup so I never had to wait long. Cesar salad wasn’t too great but the pecan encrusted chicken salad is good (one of the popular items) and tomato bisque was also good. A very short walk from the Springhill Suites. Call ahead for less wait time.

About what you’d expect for a TGI Fridays. They have some good Happy Hour drink and appetizer specials, so be sure to check them out during those times.

When I say worst service ever in life! That is an UNDERstatement smh. The bartender was full of pure attitude, snapping on the servers, another lady came to place a to go order and got the same attitude and turned and asked me if she had done something wrong. I was hit by ice on multiple occasions. The bartender was slamming things, and even dropped a shaker right over in front of my friend. Now it was busy when I first arrived and magically the bartenders attitude was gone by the time I was ready to leave and the evening rush was gone, but the crowd was no excuse for having an attitude with customers, snapping on your coworkers, and slinging ice everywhere. The coworkers seemed to be annoyed with how she was handling/​speaking to them and rightfully so. This goes at the top of the list of worst dining experiences. It is ONLY topped by when I’ve experienced racism while dining. I only wanted a PeachSangria. I really want to pray for this individual because maybe they are going through something right now that caused them to behave in such a manner.

This is an ok Fridays. Its located conveniently on a corner in the West End. There are a few meter spots out front or a parking lot next door. Its not a very huge restaurant so most tables are pretty close together. There is patio out front if you prefer to be outside. Make sure to check with the bar before you seat yourself outside. Sometimes there arent servers available for the outside area at certain times (like during shift changes). The bartenders have always been very friendly. Food is average. We normally only go for HH for work stuff and skip ordering food. If we do order food, the nachos are ok, the ribs are ok, and the spinach dip is ok. Nothing memorable or anything you’d crave but if hungry they are decent.

Love this place for lunch. It is a quick walk from work so I find myself here at least once a week. It could be due to the awesome specials they have Tuesday through Thursday. Also, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly. Can’t go wrong with this place!

I’m a fan.
The waitstaff is well trained and very professional. They take orders and provide good service which I am very pleased with. I feel like TGI Fridays beats any other competitors with their service alone. The host greets us first in the door and we get seated almost right away or else we get told to be waited for the next available table. They make good deals for the variety of customers, good price range for both college students and older. Food itself was pretty good. Food itself is fairly good, comes out fast. Only thing is that it’s kind of plain American and it was a bit salty to me but restaurant itself I loved. The atmosphere, service, and the food was overall great.

I had some time to kill downtown and decided to stop by TGIF. Glad I did. Sat in the bar area and was served some of the best happy hour (priced) drinks ever. I like simple drinks so I ordered a couple (or more) Vodka Sprites and Shalimar hooked me up!!. I also ordered the BarbQ chicken Flat bread which went great with the drinks. 5 mixed drinks and an appetizer for less than 28 bucks (after taxes but before tip). I was so surprised by how low my bill was I did a double take. My bartender was great. She made conversation with any and everybody that came into the bar area which was no small feat considering the characters that dropped in that evening.
This location is more of a dive bar than chain restaurant (which i love). The food is good the drinks are strong add to that a cool laid back staff and an eclectic crowd and you’ve got yourself a perfect day/​evening at the Dallas Westend.

Went to this location for a family event recently. Over all opinion is that what it lacks in organization it more than makes up for in location and extraordinary customer service.
Pros: Food consistent with TGIF standards, prompt, attentive service (can’t say enough about the wait staff), located at pretty much the perfect place in the entire metro area, they were crazy flexible about how to divided the check, and we had an all around very good time.
Cons: Our table for 15 wasn’t ready at the reservation time as promised, there was no plan on how to configure the tables to accommodate us, and according to my wife the ladies’ room is a bit cramped and under-​appointed.

Wer in Ketten schläft, der kann auch in Ketten essen aber nicht in diesem einsamen Fall. Ich hatte T.G.I.Fridays in guter Erinnerung, musste aber feststellen, dass dieser Fridays nicht mehr das ist, was ich vor Jahren einmal kennenlernte. Die Kooperation mit Jack Daniels ist mittlerweile zu einer Massenfütterung geworden, eigentlich schade, denn das Fleisch ist nicht schlecht und die Sauce erst recht nicht trotzdem wirkt das, wie Massenverpflegung. Aus den Zutaten lässt sich mehr machen zum Beispiel mit einem guten Service. Unserer war lustlos, langsam und nicht mal aufgedreht. Genauso lustlos bin ich weiter zu Fridays zu schreiben, es gibt Alternativen.
