I’ve been trying to substitute espresso for tea for loads of reasons. I’ve started out with bedtime… instead of turning up Mountain Dew and reading almanacs all night, I’ve been stewing loose leaf in soothing warm water. I just happened to pass by this place and decided to pop in to find a better strainer. That was all I needed. Tell me please, why I left with over a Benjamin in product? That darn Danika was amazing(manager & resident tea wizard). She should teach a class on customer service, retire, and invite me over for tea on the yacht she earned from all her trainings… she’s that good. So far, I’ve tried the cup, the mug, the sugar rocks, and one of the teas(all good)…I’ll keep you posted. Give them a whirl for all your tea and tea accessory needs. Pro tip: load your Sbux card and earn points by paying via the app versus cash.

Yes it is overpriced tea but it is good stuff I promise you! I love stopping by this store for samples of their fruit teas hot or iced. The chai is wonderful too and nice and strong. They have a bunch of tea accessories too if you are looking for gifts or just for yourself. I wouldn’t go out of my way all the time to purchase tea here but it is a nice little splurge! The associates here are very helpful too and always friendly. If anything just come here for the samples! They will not judge you at all.

Wow this place makes good tea. The woman helping us was very helpful, we had teas to go and had some samples of future purchases on the way. I think the staff makes the experience I know it’s just tea but the information and knowledge that was given to us had me more interested in Tea than I came in with. Keep up the good work I think I’m definitely gonna get the matcha kit.

So many different flavors to choose from! I fell in love with this place. As soon as we walked in(I was confused on the flavors) the ladies were offering taste samples of different kinds, found one I liked, my boyfriend ordered a hot tea,(wish I had asked the name of it) tried it when were on our way home and it was spectacular! I felt like I was floating in heaven each sip I took. Actually I finished his and gave him mine… oops! The aroma hugged my nose so perfectly, and the taste, I can’t even describe in words how yummy it was. A little pricey, but worth it. Everything about this tea was amazing. Cannot wait to be back! This time I won’t steal my boyfriend’s tea… sorry babe!

The teas are absolutely wonderful but the sales people are horrid, they knew absolutely nothing about tea whatsoever and they’re just too pushy. The girl that was helping me was a total wreck, she mixed the wrong tea, knew nothing about pricing and sounded like a mix of an infomercial and a state fair sales person. This a tea place, the vibe should be calm, not rushed; all of the employees seemed like they had anxiety issues and were about to have a panic attack when they were forcing me to smell the tea blends.

This place is expensive but as far as I am aware this is the best chain of stores to procure tea, for me green tea in particular. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Load up on free samples. Staff is full of info… but they push products so much it kind of makes you want to leave. I did hear they got bought out by starbucks… so that is a plus. I love the tea here… variety and freshness is fantastic. The chai iced… but pricey… WOWZA!

Okay, I’m a little conflicted about Teavana – I did like my purchase(it was JavaVana Mate; I was looking for a suitable substitute for coffee), the salesperson(according to my receipt her name is Raemi O) was really friendly and helpful and knew what she was talking about, BUT it’s just so expensive! Yeah, I suppose you’re paying for the brand. But it’s still expensive(I paid over $ 25 for half a pound of tea, no joke). But, again, the product and the customer service is really top-notch. About the tea: the JavaVana was/is really tasty and has lots of dark, almost chocolatey notes that it really does make for a good substitute for coffee, plus it really perks me up in the morning(or whenever i feel like having a pot). So, all in all, I can’t really complain about Teavana beyond the price. Second-to-lastly(if that is even an actual phrase): You don’t have to buy a full canister or package of tea, you can also order cups of tea to go, which is really convenient. The place is probably optimal for buying tea-related gifts or getting single cups to go, rather than making personal purchases in medium-to-large quantities. Lastly, Teavana people: give Raemi O a raise or a promotion or something, she totally deserves it!

So went in to Teavana, and realized that it’s pretty much the Starbucks of the tea world. The difference is that the prices are too high, and the salespeople just lay it on thick… ugh. It wore me out just having a 5 minute talk from the sales guy! But I like tea. That’s why I came here, and I’ll buy it on my terms. I tried a few teas, and they were all pretty good, so ended up getting a berry something or other iced tea, and a hot chai. It was about $ 50. That’s not too horrible if you consider how many cups you get out of it, etc. BUT, it’s a big upfront cost just for tea. It’s a bit crazy in my opinion. They force you to buy their containers, which tacks on an extra charge of $ 10 or something, and you bring the container back when you want more(they don’t charge you a second time). They continue to try to upsell you the entire time, and it’s super annoying. SUPER annoying. I just want to get some tea and get out. As far as the«teapot» side of things? They’re all ugly. I wouldn’t want one of their teapots in my home because I don’t have Asian décor and they really don’t have any modern/contemporary options. But I guess only traditionally themed Asian homes drink tea… right? So for me? I probably won’t be back too soon. It’s a niche place, and I can get great loose leaf tea elsewhere for much cheaper. But if you want some great tea, and have some extra money to blow through, it’s not horrible. Just don’t look at something like it’s interesting, because they’ll try to sell it to you!

I’ve just recently moved to Dallas, and I think I’m going to have to knock a star off the Hurst location. This store has so much more space(you can walk around freely!) and it’s a nice little haven in the middle of the amusement park that is the Galleria. I just stopped in here for a cup of monkey-picked oolong(mmm… monkeys) and I think the woman who took my order could see I was overwhelmed from the back-to-school crowd because she didn’t try to push anything else on me.

It’s the STARUCKS of Tea! I will most certainly pay $ 4 for a cup of tea fresh brewed hot or cold!!! The ones that they usually have out for sample are my favorites… the Chai and the Jasmine Pearl… :) :)

The tea is very expensive. Also, the customer service is poor. Better teas can be found online and for a much better price.

This is simply the best tea I have ever had. And I’ve tried lots — Republic of Tea, Numi, Tazo, Harney and Sons, etc., and this is far above the rest. My favorite is the Honeybush Red, which is actually not too crazy expensive, and I also love the Youthberry White tea, which is pink and delicious. Love!!!

Love the teas, but what is with the up selling here? My associate was working every angle and it grew old. I prefer the relaxing atmosphere at the Northpark teavana. This one had music blaring. If you’re price conscious, be aware that the price is listed on the front of the tin. Some of the teas can be used more than once(in the same day).

Pretentious tea place? I think so. Do the workers here get commission? Maybe. Am I ever going to buy a tea pot, fancy cup or decors from here? No. We were strolling around the mall and decided to sample one of their teas. I thought it was pretty tasty so I decided to buy a freshly brewed cup of it. Didn’t see an obvious price menu but I didn’t think it would be so bad. Then they said, «Ok, that will be $ 5.60.» $ 6 for a cup of tea? Never again. I’m not a tea snob or anything but the teas here seem a bit artificial. Some will cure my hunger, headache, grumpiness, others will give me strength and energy. Maybe I’m just not used to different tea blends. I’ll just stick to my Dad’s recipes.

I love tea. In fact I love it so much I drink it like water. Teavana is great when I want some fancy pants tea. The place is like a tea library. It has every variety of tea imaginable and really cute but $$$ tea accessories. You get to smell the teas and sample some of them. I’m not too wowed by some of the samples as they seem to be loaded up with sugar. Another thing. i have to agree with one of the reviewers. Some of the sales staff can be mighty pushy. Whenever I come in, they descend on me like vultures. Can’t just pay and leave. They always try and sucker me into buying the upper end teas… ya know the ones that cost 20 bucks an oz and the über pricey tea tins. Umm… no thanks the paper bags are fine with me. Despite that, I still like this place. I come in here with my budget and leave with my budget intact.

Oh Mommy/Daddy, this place is TEA(THE) BEST! This store smells of aromas from all over the world: rare berries, invigorating citrus notes, rare leaves from special forests/other lands, and so much more! The teapots are super nice in there. The entire presentation of the store is hopelessly devoted to tea and all of tea’s special power. I love any type of citrus tea, even the Earl Grey with citrus and wow, do they have it and do it right! They always sample incredible teas… I got a mixture after they pretty much took what I liked and formulated it into what would be my dream Queen tea. I immediately formed a faux British accent like Madonna after one sip. Just like a dream, you are not what you seem, just like a prayer… wait, sorry… The teas all have specific names, I just cannot recall them all. The staff must get some good training, because everyone in here had an extensive knowledge of tea. So the AWESOME staff combined an orange tea with a passion fruit/tropical tea and added more tea to that with a lemon essence, that was what made the tea so good. I had it both hot and iced. I preferred it cold, even though it was such a great experience. The lemon was much stronger in the hot version, and the tropical flavors got to come out and play when it was cold. The husband got the Earl Grey with Citrus. My Mom said it was similar to teas she had in Germany, which she loved(in the Earl Grey dept.) I generally don’t enjoy making loose leaf teas, but that is how they sold it to me and it was just as luscious when I made it at home, it just took extra time to steep. Yes, the prices are higher, but it almost seems like a luxury to have a tea this good. Now, where are my crumpets?

I can spend hours in Teavana looking at the selection of teapots, smelling the teas in the huge canisters and learning about better ways to brew my teas. The girls at this location were very helpful and gave me some additional tips. The price is a bit high, but for tea with this much flavor, I will gladly pay the piper. I walked out with some Almond Biscotti Flavored & Scented Black Tea and Raspberry Black Flavored & Scented Black Tea. I ordered a Thai Tea Black Blend to-go which was perfect with some german rock sugar(that they sell too) and some half-and-half. YUM!
