Love! It was my first time ever getting an airbrush tan and I was pretty nervous. Luckily, my aestheticians made me feel so comfortable! I had such a wonderful experience.
Please go see Dashia, she’s so knowledgeable, sweet and friendly! My tan looked amazing and natural! I could not ask for more! Just remember they only take cash/​check (My mistake!). I would recommend Tantrum & Dashia to anyone looking to get golden!

This is the best airbrush tan I have ever had!
The color was natural, and it lasted a long time without ever getting spotty.
Mandi helped me, and she was wonderful! She made me feel comfortable, she was attentive and detailed, and she gave me advice for how to keep my tan longer.
I will definitely return here for airbrush tanning!

My technician was super cool and funny, which made get sprayed in my underwear okay. It is my first time and not shy, just didn’t feel comfortable with my muffin top busting a wee bit. Hey, nobody is perfect.
I am looking forward to a golden tan look, with no burn. They are very professional and strife to make each experience the best possible. Will recommend for others to try out.

A terrific custom airbrush tan! They have several locations, and I drove to Allen, (which was not convenient for me), because they were booked in the locations closer to my house. It was a last minute decision on my part. But booked up means «in demand», and the results were consistent with that! Loved the tan! Top notch tech, and top notch product! It was worth the extra drive! Though next time, I will book a little further in advance for the option of closer locale. That said, it’s still a tan I would I would drive a little extra for!

My first upset with this place started on my birthday weekend when I getting an airbrush tan & the tenant next door had a water leak that poured into the Tantrum Tanning room. Since, I was getting airbrushed, I had my on the floor. My clothes were absolutely soaked & I obviously couldn’t continue to get to airbrush, bc once I put on my wet clothes, it would cause streaks. So we ended the tan & I put on my miserably cold & wet clothes & left. I e-​mailed the booking agents to see what they could & if they could squeeze me in that night & make something happen to fix the problem. I was completely baffled at the attitude I was receiving from the booking agent. I’m a firm believer that in order for a business to be successful, there should be great customer service. The booking agent was literally trying to argue with me in my e-​mails. Why would anybody do that with a customer? Especially when there is written? Nonetheless, the manager called & apologized for the e-​mails & what occurred earlier that day & redeemed Tantrum Tanning by offering 3 free tans. I continued going after that, but with some reservations.
So today, I had an appointment at 5:25. It’s 5:35 & I’m sitting outside the Tantrum Tanning location waiting on the airbrush technician when a sweetheart named Jessica called. She was calling to inform that my airbrush technician was running due to a wreck. No big, this things are bound to happen when living in Dallas. Since I have plans tonight (it is Friday night), I was just curious as to where the airbrush technician was so I could determine if I should wait or not since I had somewhere, when I asked, Jessica with the biggest attitude possible goes, «I don’t know, Emilee.» Alrighty then! I ended up telling her to cancel my appointment bc I didn’t appreciate the way she was talking to me. Jessica never apologized & just hung up. I’ve been a loyal customer to Tantrum Tanning as I love to get airbrushes but I will not be returning.

Again the service issues continue. I asked for a 2:30 appointment when I was finally able to reach them directly and was told only evening appointments are available since «their girls» (as the person scheduling said) don’t stay at one location and travel around to various Tantrum booths throughout the day.
Also worth noting, if you show up on time and the person who will be doing your airbrush tan is running behind, a sign on the door asks that you wait in the waiting room. Ummmm, there is no waiting room, so you end up loitering in the hallway waiting for the previous customer to finish up. So awkward!
I will finish out the two tans I purchased ahead of time and start searching for a new place.

The salons are clean, the staff friendly and I was impressed with the color of my tan. I will definitely go back!

I love tantrum! Ive been to both the frisco and denton locations and they are great. My tan always comes out looking natural and pretty and i always get compliments. I strayed one time to a different salon with a groupon and will never do it again. This is the only place i know i will get the right color for my pale skin tone. All the girls are so sweet too.

Dashia did my tan just a couple days before I walked the stage for my Graduation. I was very pleased with my tan and so was anyone who saw me after I had it done, especially my boyfriends. She did a great with my tan that lasted a little over a week because of all the showers I had.
Dashia was very talkative and friendly. She told was good at explaining everything upfront and telling me to remember to moisturize and not use a lotion with Mineral Oil as that would make my tan fade faster.
She also gave me a 50% off coupon to use for my next visit!

I had a Groupon for a spray tan here which I usually cringe at using groupons… most specifically for salon services because I feel like the business gets screwed over a little and when you spend one on one time with that person, you thus feel like you’re screwing them over. I digress.
Dashea was wonderful! I was even a few minutes late because the new upgrade of my iPhone maps and I just don’t understand each other and she couldn’t have been friendlier. I get pretty dark in the summer so my skin can take a darker tan, but due to it being winter I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the light or medium or what exactly, but Dashea helped me decide to do the light/​medium and she would just go darker on me.
The whole experience lasted about 30 minutes during which she made me feel super comfortable and was really fun to talk to at the same time. She also gave me a 50% off coupon for next time which would make it the same price as the groupon and gave me a tip not to use it on a Friday because they are already discounted to $ 25 on Fridays. The inner part of my elbows looked really uneven for a minute, especially after I took my zip up fleece off, but I took her word on it that it would wash off in the shower and she was true to her word. I will definitely come back for my next non-​booth spray tan and ask for Dashea again! Conveniently located by the Steinmart in Lakewood Salons. My map told me it was on the other side of Mockingbird, so don’t be fooled by your tricky iPhone.

Although the consistency of the tans I’ve gotten at Tantrum are up for debate, the Dallas location now has one technician only (Dashia) who delivers a great tan each time.
My only pet peeve about Tantrum is that it is located inside a salon and if you come after salon business hours the front door is always locked. Up until recently, Tantrum wasnt even listed on the call box leading me to have to call up the general Tantrum phone number and have them call the technician inside who would then come let me in.
If you are looking for a great tan, Tantrum does deliver though. Each week there are specials that are sent out via their email list so be on the lookout for those!

WORST EXPERIENCE! Never had a spray tan so I called to ask questions to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into, but I was fooled! On the phone I got useful tips: 1) The tan mix is like paint — it will stain clothes, car seats, whatever, so after you get sprayed wear old, loose clothing & bring an old sheet to protect your car, sofa and bed the 1^st night. 2) Shower & soap yourself up head-​to-​toe JUST BEFORE your appointment so your skin will absorb the spray evenly. Here is what they don’t tell you: 1) You’ll be naked in a tiny, brightly lit room with a total stranger about 1 foot away from you — like right up in there — so if that sort of thing would bother you, wear some old, throw-​away underwear because they don’t offer anything for the more modest people. 2) They aren’t joking about wearing loose, old clothes — it doesn’t was out. 3) The Lakewood /​Mockingbird location is in this little booth in a strip mall that you’ll have to sneak in to after 7PM (weird-​o). 5) Don’t pay extra for the moisturizer treatment. I did, & I looked like a moron for a week. 6) Don’t shave 24 hours beforehand or you’ll end up with the blotchy skin. 7) It darkens several shades overnight, so stop b/​f you think it’s enough. You can get more, but it doesn’t come off until your skin cells fall off. So, even though I followed their instructions & told the technician I wanted it very subtle — no orange or «fake» look please — I walked out looking like I was on Face Off & the challenge was to make me look Jamaican. Worse, I had a weird road rash effect.
It was so bad I went back to Daisha on Mockingbird the next day, but her solution was to spray me MORE! I called the booker/​owner/​advisor and she had the nerve to blame it all on me because I shaved my legs the day of the tan (even though no one mentioned this being a no-​no). It’s untrue because I had the road rash ALL OVER — NOT just where I shave. Bottom line: I wasn’t happy, I looked like Ross from Friends — that’s how bad I looked & I had to go to a special event! It was embarrassing, but she didn’t offer help, apologize — not even some FAKE concern — needless to say, I could NEVER recommend this place to anyone I didn’t want evil revenge on.
