Rest In Peace ‘The Original Snookie’ before MTV ruined the name!

I’ve been coming to Snookie’s for years now. It’s one of my «go to» spots since it’s close, rarely busy and has a good juke box. The food is OK, but I don’t think most people go here for food anyway. They have a small selection of beers and a decent selection of liquors. Snookie’s is just a nice, cozy, neighborhood bar. Kind of like a Cheers, but you don’t know anybodies name.

I stop by here when I need a quick beer and a burger. Their pricing is nice, and the good is great. I recommend the Hickory burger, or and the Chicken Fried steak. The staff are very nice, and helpful. Its nice on the inside, and the crowd never gets crazy.

Not too shabby. For beers and apps, this place is comfortable and reasonable. I was there on a Sunday and thought it would be busy, but the place was empty. Don’t let that make your decision. This place is solid and delivers every time.

mediocre bar food and questionable service. Unless meeting a friend who insists on going there; I’m always going somewhere else.

Our waitress was absolutely awesome, attentive, friendly… top notch. The manager came over and had a nice conversation with us also. The food was above average for bar food, and good enough that I will be back. Maybe for cocktails next time too!

I’m STILL full from my lunch I had yesterday at Snookie’s. Seriously. Really. I’m not lying. Ok so I have to confess, I went here knowing I was going to stuff myself silly before I’m back on track with my eating after the holidays. And I did. Oh boy, did I. First time here and if I lived in the area, I’d be frequenting it often. Laid back atmosphere, plenty of TV’s and good music. Our waitress Marissa was the best! Very attentive and not once did we have to ask for a refill, more chips, clear our plates, etc. She’s good. Started out with chips, queso, and salsa. Salsa was a little too salty for me, the queso was good. Not spicy, just good. Chips, awesome. The thin white kind. Yum! Then I had a cheeseburger. Came out perfect to my order on a great ciabatta bun served with hand cut french fries. They were amazing with great seasoning. There were many other items on the menu that looked good to try the next time I’m there… because yes, I’ll be back!

This place is walking distance from my apartment but I just ventured here for a friend’s birthday. I took my waitress’ advice and had the Electric Lemonade. I can seriously drink anything that pretty– blue drinks! How fun is that?! We didn’t have any food but I, unfortunately or fortunately(your pick), didn’t see anything vegetarian that wasn’t covered in cheese and oil. There were no drinks specials but they do have a JUKEBOX. If you know me, you know my affinity for juke boxes. I don’t think everyone wants to hear Fleetwood Mac in between Patsy Cline and The Shins but I don’t care. The place was kind of dead but I could see this being a nice place to just kick back and have a drink.

I’ve been going here alot with my boyfriend for lunch. At least once a week. We always get some form of nachos and either fried mushrooms or onion rings(super healthy I know, LOL). Always great service, fast, cheap, and the food is terrific at this location.

Snookie’s has the best late night bar food. I am someone who works late at night and the only thing open to eat is fast food. Snookie’s Grill is open till 2am and so is the kitchen. It’s a great place to go after work and have a drink and eat great bar food. You have to try the fries too, they are really good.

Great cheese fries with real bacon and Ranch. Good ‘kitchen dip’ with a little bit of everything in a cheese dip. Happy Hour is really nice, too. I wish they hadn’t closed the one in Southlake, though :(Total cougar hang out: The Moms would start their day with yelling at the Nanny to hurry up and drop the kids off at school(public school because they can’t afford private); then they’d go to Larry North to workout in full make-up and ‘did’ hair so their husbands wouldn’t upgrade any time soon; then they’d shop at Harold’s in Southlake Town Square, Center, whatever, and lament not being a size 4 any more(damn kids); then they’d pop a phentermine to try to get back to size 4 and meet their other mom friends at Snookies and play 80s music in the juke box and drink happy hour cocktails from the STIR straw. So fun to watch. Like a Greek Tragedy, watching someone drink to quiet the inner voice which says, «I’m getting old and what do I have to show for it?» Oh wait, I thought this was a review of Snookies, not Southlake.

My sister worked nearby at Carrabba’s a few years back and would hit up Snookie’s after a shift. When I was in town, I came too. It’s a relatively cheap neighborhood place that’s favored by a mixed crowd– the barely 21s sprinkled in among 50-somethings. This joint is SMOKY though. Be warned.

I stumbled into this place one night after attempting to get a seat at the Uncle Julio’s across the parking lot. What a find! The place was packed(I guess I didn’t discover it first), but I muscled my way onto a bar stool. The bar tender kept my mug full of Shiner Bock and hustled me up a ½ Kobe beef burger with all the trimmings and fries. Stellar. Easy in /easy out location. If you’re stuck in Addison and want to have a little fun, check it out.

My favorite watering hole that reminds me of days of old when I worked at the Grand Lux Café and would have an after work drink with co-workers. They have good food and on some nights great drink specials(sometimes $ 2 you call its). Every time I am back in Dallas I make it an effort to stop in for a drink, most of the times meeting a friend to catch up.
