I only give this a four star because of the cheese fries, cheese was not fully melted, but the char grilled oysters could not be any better! Always sit on the patio, never been inside, but good music is played outside, an overall great experience!

I have been a regular here for about 3 years overall it’s a great place to grab a drink. The people that work here will learn your name and genuinely care to keep you as a customer. Any thing I have ever brought to there attention was always taken care of promptly and kept up to higher standards thereafter. If you ask the bartenders what food to order they will steer you into the right direction. The shots they suggest are fantastic. One of my favorites is the German rattle snake and I can’t get anyone at any other bar to make it a tenth as good. My one and only complaint would be on the newer gentleman who recently started working there. I ordered a $ 7 drink and it tasted to milky so I ordered a topper for it which I was charged $ 16 for. which is more than twice the cost of the drink and takes less fluids to make. I brought it to his attention he was willing to split it but I still paid more than the cost of the drink for just a topper. I always tip well here but on this specific occasion I did not. I finished my one drink and left. … a few hours later I returned and ordered my usual, a more simple drink with the same guy. It was made perfect so I actuary tipped him 60 percent. After I closed out I was talking to another regular about something in my personal life outside the bar that had notHing to do with money.. This same new guy I Just gave a giant tip to was attempting to ease drop and thought I was talking about the way he bar tends and about Money. I said notHing of that sort. Even though I was already closed out he got in my face said I was cut off because I’m complaining about money and he had seen a roll of hundreds in my pocket. Then he said me and him will never do business again. The other regulars surrounding me were shocked at this reaction because my conversation was nowhere near what he thought it was about. Other than being disgusted by this new guy, my experiences at the quarter have been above and beyond. Every other employee here is so great that I have returned here countless times year after year. I have brought many of my friends here and will always recommend visiting The Quarter. **update** I added the 5th star because that rude bartender had other business to take care of… The new guy Gary is kick ass. Genuinely cares to learn your drinking style and name. Everyone else as usual a fantastic staff.

Tried coming here for a friends birthday because they had«karaōke». Don’t bother if you’re looking to sing. DJ was more interested in hearing himself talk and playing music in general than doing his actual job of having patrons sing. We’ve been to many karaōke nights at bars in both NY and Texas and this DJ is by far the worst we’ve ever experienced. Unless the owners wise up and hire an actual karaōke DJ we just won’t return. Update: DJ lied to the birthday girl saying he was closing down and he wasn’t taking any more singers after one of our friends. Next thing we know a cute blond girl is getting up to sing. This guy is a real piece of work.

The grilled oysters are to die for! Totally worth the wait. All other food is actually pretty good for the price. Drinks are reasonable too. The crowd is a little different than what one might expect; and that is cool. They do allow smoking… which is almost unheard of these days

Me and my roommate always come here to listen to karaōke. Only bad thing is the ace smells like cigarettes.

We’re usually here for drinks, but the food we have had is near gastro-pub grade. As for those liquid choices, it’s cold and served as ordered. It’s a nice place for some secluded drinks, but be warned — it’s a Saints bar. Smoke if you got ‘em.

Excellent happy hour! Great covered patio on the front. Friendly service, and fantastic drink prices. $ 3 wells on Monday. They also have a big bar food menu that looked legit. Salsa tasted like Pace from the jar though. :(

Same exact review as Get O.: Visited here last Sat. and wasn’t even asking«Chowda/Musical Mayhem Corporation owner» to let me sing, just please play in a little popular House/EDM with Chris Brown as co-artist in-between. But he proly because all the«Mary-J and Jalepenos» didn’t recognize my request & potential Chris Brown fans and so already had his mind set since proly fried baked well. Was really(I mean really) like popularity contest who got to sing. Do give him credit for at least picking those who could sing very well. But my advice to the Quarter since they paying him is if this in indeed popularity contest and talent driven(think American Idol caliber practice) say so up front on placard so us normal folk don’t even ask to play popular music in-between Karaōke sets or dare request to sing. I do at least give two star because all the wait staff very courteous, timely and professional. Plus their food very good also. Some more positive: On Fri. night had the pleasure of DJ Warhorse playing several of my requests, being polite and using nice complimenting videos also. Nice! Sorry Addison this next trip out of ATX I headed down South Padre to see Aoki, Hardwell, David Guetta and Tiesto!

Comically horrible. It’s Saturday night & the loud(and really awful) karaōke is in full swing. The food? Even worse than the karaōke. The oysters were chewy & the cocktail sauce was chunky. Go anywhere but here.(I hate even giving one star…)

It’s a standard bar with a standard atmosphere. Karaōke nights are Thursdays and Saturdays so we went on a Saturday. The drinks were expensive($ 5 per vodka soda) and the guy running the karaōke was rude and kept skipping over people. There are definitely better bars to choose from.

Thursday Karaōke left little to the imagination… they had good drink specials and it was pretty laid back though. I have a shot that I really like and they were the only ones that have been excited to try and make it for me(it has 6 different ingredients). Which was appreciated. If you want to know the name, you’ll have to message me for it. I think this is a solid watering hole for local folks and I need to try it during a regular bar night.

I live in Arlington but have been told that going to The Quarter(by three different, random people) was worth the trip if you love karaōke. I’ve driven 30 miles out of my way to go to The Quarter for karaōke, and both times the karaōke was messed up. Once it was before anyone had a chance to sing. The other time, I got to sing once, but he didn’t follow a normal rotation. He just let the same people sing over and over again. When it was FINALLY my turn to sing again, he announced that there would be no more karaōke for the night. Both times the karaōke DJ was an ass I will NEVER come to this place again.

I love this place. Has everything you would want in a local bar. Bartenders know you by name, lots of regulars, killer drink specials, good food, tvs for sports, and karaōke on certain nights! They also host many fundraisers to give back to local charities.

I went here for the first time last night, my husband had been here once before. He had raved about the ribs so we are started with those and finished with the chargrilled oysters. Food was excellent and really excellent for the price. $ 28 for both and it was more then enough food for both of us. the chargrilled oysters are amazing, get extra bread to soak up all the amazing butter sauce — definitely not a health food but so good. The ribs were also really good, fall of the bone tender. Food has more options and better then most casual bars. My husband described this place as an airport bar. Its an an older crowd, a little smokey, a dive bar but a little more upscale then most. We also liked that they sell cigars as we like to have one once in awhile. The drink specials were good, I don’t see many places with $ 2 draft domestics anymore. They have a decent amount of tvs and looks like they do karaōke many nights. Our service was really good, never letting our drinks get too low and food was quick. We will back again for cheap drinks, the oysters and the random night when we are looking for karaōke.

Came here for the first time Saturday night & I had a good time. I looked around and noticed the other patrons were in their late 20’s to late 40’s… I think I could have been the youngest person there LOL I also liked the fact that it wasn’t full of the younger age’d crowd who were just trying to get trashed. It wasn’t crowded either like most bars, and I didn’t have to shout to my friends if I wanted to talk to them. This was a totally different experience(in a good way) for me because I’m so used to going to the bars in Uptown. We sat at the bar and got excellent service; the bartender always checked on us and made sure to keep the drinks comin. Since I checked in on Unilocal, the bartenders honored my Unilocal coupon & we got a 20% off the pizzas we ordered. OH, the pizza’s were half off that night as well… I think it’s one of their specials they have. Since the bar did have karaōke, it was nice listening to others sing. My friend also sang! Now I don’t know how big the music selection is, but he sang songs from Tim McGraw to Musiq Soulchild. I will def. be coming back whenever I’m in the area or whenever my friends want to karaōke again :)

Fun place to kick back and get down with some karaōke on a Saturday night. Some friends and I have been here for drinks and enjoyed singing on the stage. You really can make a night of it! Parking around here is pretty sparse though. Thankfully it doesn’t get that crazy like next door at Button’s so you should be able to snag a spot.

Cool place to hang out with friends for karaōke, but this place is way too smokey. A friend had made reservations for a big group on a Saturday evening, and the bar gave up the table when we walked in a few minutes late. Talk about bad customer service. So, to make it up, they tried to give us the heated patio and our own bartender which was isolated from the bar. You couldn’t even participate inside the bar unless you walked in. Finally, they gave us our tables, and we were inside. They have daily specials on drinks, but be prepared to pay $ 9-$ 10 on handmade hurricane drinks.
