My meal here was terrible and I actually ended up throwing it away after a couple bites. I got shrimp and catfish basket with fries, and it took forever to be ready. Although they claim its fresh, I watched as the guy opened a giant frozen bag of hush puppies and dump them in the fryer. The fries were bland and had no salt, and they were the very generic fries you find at concession stands. The catfish and shrimp was equally as bland, and was not saved by sauces. I can dig hole in the wall places, but not this

I had no ideas for dinner tonight and so the bf suggested Top Cat. I don’t eat catfish that often. It’s okay, I guess.
The catfish was good. Seemed fresh enough. There wasn’t too much batter which is good. It’s a good amount of cornmeal, so I guess it’ll be messy but it goes with the territory.
We ordered about 10 fillets, I don’t know why. I only ate about 1.5, I wasn’t too hungry. We also ordered the fries (super bland, definitely needs ketchup. We ordered the hush puppies which were weirdly cylindrical. They had a very faint jalepeno taste. Not overly oily.
I’m a big fan of tartar sauce, and this one is a little heavy/​greasy. Still good though.

Place looks empty, they were out of shrimp so I tries fillets and fries. Staff was funny and polite. Fish smelled great and tasted fairly well. Hot and fresh right out of the fryer.

If you enjoy the Top Cat chain of fried seafood, this place will not disappoint.
The Top Cat Combo is my go-​to here, always made to order (so cool your heels with some sweet iced tea).

Today was my first time trying Top Cat and it was pretty good. Reasonably priced and we received a lot of food for the money. The food wasn’t greasy at all, which was a plus. Also the guys working there were very friendly.

Typically Top Cat. Good seafood at a good price.
The décor is the same as all the others; simple bench and tables, with bar seating facing the front windows.
The service is quick and people are friendly.
This was my second stop here at this new location, so far so good.
