Thanks for the memories and the holy trinity!

Went to lunch here today with 4 coworkers and really liked it! Great atmosphere, good food and convenient, free parking!

Everytime I go to West Village to eat at either Taco Diner or Mi Concina it is a 3 ring circus. There is always a wait! Taco Diner is okay and Mi Cocina is mediocre at best. Actually, they have some of the worst fajitas ever. Blech.
My point is, we pack ourselves into the same Tex Mex places every week. Look at Cyclone Anaya. Craziness on Friday! Manny’s is the same. Julio’s is madness!
Why why why people? There is a whole world out there that isn’t Oaklawn or Uptown.
Sala is a cool place to be. I love the view of downtown and the vibe you get when you walk in. I brought my boss there from San Diego. We had house margs. I agree with everyone. Great margs. I think you can tell a lot about a place by how they do their house margs. The salsa is so good and fresh. You get two kinds. I like the thicker chunkier version better.
The wait staff is very attentive. I thought it was inexpensive for Tex-​Mex. I mean Cylone’s charges 12 for a margarita. My food was yum. I had the fish tacos and they made me happy.
All in all, I recommend you take a short trip out of your loopty toop and make it over to this place. It is 2.5 miles from uptown.

ps. I totally hate traditional beans and rice. They are just so bland. They have got this down. Their beans were so tasty I wanted to eat them by themselves!

this is a great place… very cozy and laid back. I go pretty much on Thursday to relax and have the best Margarita Flights in the world. Try the Meltdown Flight… it will have you melted down alright:) The manager is young and cool and he is just trying to get business there. I LOVE THE WAIT-​STAFF!!!
I don’t understand why the place isn’t jumping because the drinks are slamming and the food is really good. So… word of mouth… try them out. I love them and I live right across the street from the place and I am glad they are there:)

Well — I don’t consider 9:30 about to close if they close at 10 pm… but anyhow
I will give this place a second chance — Michael, the Manager of Sala emailed me asking that we give them a second chance. He indicated there was a miscommunication between he and his wait staff. He did indeed cut us off from having any more drinks even though we had only 1 round. Apparently, there was another table that had imbibed a little to much and he confused our table with theirs.
I thought it stand-​up that he took the time and effort to email me. Like I said in my previous review, I would rather give the business to the Cedars neighborhood. Thanks Michael, I’ll be swinging back in
