My wife and I have been going here for two years. They have excellent food at a good price. We suggest the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail to start. Then you choose your enchiladas filling and topping. My favorite is the chicken with quest sauce.

Great lunch spot. The flautitas were an excellent choice — light & crispy without a trace of grease. The avocado cream was good. Great fast service.

The food is typical Mexican food but they also have a large lunch menu. I like the face the have healthier options that include grilled vegetables instead of rice and beans. Service is quick and staff is friendly. The Atkins lunch was yummy!

For average Tex-mex, it was good! I was expecting it to be horrible since there was no one inside. I had the chicken enchiladas and would recommend it. I’ll be back!

If you have not tried the chicken stuffed fried jalapenos, then you are missing out on a Tex-Mex original! Wash down — over time — with the best frozen Marg around!

This wasn’t good. Not terrible, but certainly nothing there to go back for. The enchiladas were okay but nothing special(though I did genuinely like the ranchero sauce on the cheese enchilada); my plate came with rice instead of the beans the menu stated would accompany it(I wasn’t asked which I preferred, & I loathe Mexican-style rice); the Margarita was acceptable but, again, nothing special, and came without salt despite the fact I *did* ask; the salsa, too, was average at best, and the corn chips are the thick, coarse kind. It appears people go primarily for the happy hour frozen Margaritas(happy hour is from 11AM-7PM), which are cheap, but since I’m not a fan of the frozen variety I can’t say if they’re good. I can say my just-ok on-the-rocks ‘Rita was regular price. .Meh.

Enchilada’s is your average tex-mex restaurant. It’s on the corner of Elm and Field and can get really busy because it’s is convenient and have good lunch deals. The food is not bad, it’s just ok. My consistent choice is the lunch combo fajitas. It comes with steak & chicken sizzling with onions and bell pepper, accompanied by charro beans, rice, guacamole, theee tortillas, and Pico de gallo. It’s a lot of food for $ 9 before tax. Surprisingly, I’ve never had an alcoholic beverage here. Maybe because I only go at lunch and I try to avoid being tipsy at work. I’ve been here many times. If you seek gourmet, make you want to slap your mama type food, don’t go. If you need a decent, fast meal it is worth the visit.

Lunch brisket quesadillas were good. The brisket had a great flavor. However, I ordered the medium size and the wedges were like what you might see on a child’s plate. The queso was really good. It was my bosses birthday and they brought her a complimentary sopapilla. They took a group picture, then developed it and gave it to her in a frame. That special touch made this a preferred lunch spot for future office birthdays!

It’s on Elm so not in the thick of things on Main street but also not in Westend. I had the enchilada lunch beef and chicken they were Not bad. The chips and salsa were fairly good. Bottle of Blood and Honey was 5bucks on «happy hour» pricing. Overall ok. If you’re really close by and have a hankering for TexMex give it a try.

My sis moved into the Davis building and they gave her a coupon for this place so we went to check it out. Lets just say I’m glad we were not actually paying for the majority of the food. Yes it was edible and did not make us sick. However I will say I think the dimelix taquitos from wal-mart tasted better than the food we had. I won’t be back.

I stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I pass it quiet often on the DART and thought I would give it ago. It’s really good Mexican fare and worth the try if you’re in downtown or working in the area. I had the #8 Noon speciall chicken enchilada with verde sauce, rice and beans. The restaurant is nice and clean, staff attentive and fast service. Would try this location again.

Free chips, okay enchiladas. Sad to say this place is nothing to write home about. Lunch portions are fine but taste is on the bland side compared to other Mexican restaurants with similar dishes. Hope it was an off day for the chef/cook. Close to work and convenient.

Nothing to spectacular about this place besides that it is close by to work. The service is extremely fast, even during the lunch rush. One of the things I really do like about this restaurant are the margaritas. They also have lunch specials, but the portion size seemed a bit small to me, and I really do not eat that much. If you work downtown and need something fast, but don’t want to eat fast food try this place.

I’ve always said you can’t really screw up Mexican food. This place follows that logic accordingly. Nice and spacious décor with large booths to lay down if you over do it. The service was a little strange, not in a «hey, you forgot my order» way, more like«hey, are you here?» kind of way. Our waitress just seemed a bit unplugged if you will. The food was just par but good. I had the shrimp enchiladas and I really can’t complain they were pretty darn good.
