C’mon now… open for less than a year and they are already cutting corners and going cheap. I feel as though the quality has gone down(or maybe it was never there to begin with and the first thing I ordered was just an exception) and the chocolate spreads they use are super cheap. I mean, for a chocolate lounge, their hazelnut spread on their pizza should be better than nutella. But no, it is gross. Anyway, take yourself to EatZi’s down the street and get their chocolate brownie desert thing or chocolate obsession(for about $ 4) and save the other $ 6 on a dessert you will be disappointed with here. Service is also hit or miss, boo. I give this place another 6 months at best if nothing changes(which it should, given the potential!).

Totally loved this place. Dessert and hot chocolate were on point. Tasty and well presented. The service was outstanding, you can tell when people pay attention to it and go above and beyond. Highly recommend the dessert waffle.

This place is amazing! The chocolate was great and the customer service was wonderful. I’ve tasted plenty of red velvet, and the one they have is sooooo good. It’s better than my go to place in Fort Worth. I’m definitely going back when I get a chance.

Really cute place to go after dinner or for a pick me up. I love the service here too. I ordered the classic hot chocolate which wasn’t too sweet or too bland. I was also told the ferrer rocher(?) shake was good too :)

Very expensive for each item. Overpriced for the quality of the chocolate. Hot chocolate was not rich, lots of foam. Served lukewarm. The coffee was bitter almost like it was burnt or something – it was also not served hot. Again the waffles were not hot, barely warm. Not very crispy either. Toppings were ok. Chocolate drizzle tasted average. The ambience of the place was nice. Comfortable place to sit and do some work.

I feel sorry for those misguided, Hershey-loving Unilocalers that left 4 and 5 star reviews of this place. They have never traveled enough to try real chocolate establishments. This place is terrible on so many levels. First of all, if you are going to market yourself as a chocolate dessert lounge, you better bring your A-game in regards to desserts. Where are the chocolate fountains?! Where are the Instagram worthy chocolate displays?! This place actually had a chocolate candy case with chocolate molded into tools!!! Yes people, wrenches, screw drivers, etc. How sophisticated. The food: First day we came, we tried a crêpe and espresso. The crêpe itself had no no flavor, and the coffee was extremely bitter and gross. I decided to give them another chance believing maybe it was an «off» day. Big waste of calories. We asked the nimrod cashier that beats the cash register with his drumsticks to an imaginary tune, if he could suggest some desserts. He said he doesn’t eat the food! Lol. Okedokie. We decided to get 2 different kinds off Belgium waffles and 2 espressos. The Belgium chocolate that drowned one of the waffles was incredible but that’s it. The waffle was chewy and didn’t taste fresh-I suspected it was microwaved. I was right. I called nimrod to the table and asked if they make the waffles here or is it just heated up. Nimrod’s response: Of course it is microwaved. The waffles are Belgium! Go ahead, Unilocalers… absorb that answer for a second. You only serve dessert and you can’t take 2 minutes to slap some batter on a waffle iron to create a crispy waffle?! In fact, your employees believe that your waffles are flown in, pre-cooked, from Belgium?! Literally, laugh out loud. To make matters worse, that ice cream you see on the side? It is Dryers! DRYERS!!! You are a dessert restaurant serving cheap grocery store ice cream??? With fantastic local producers, such as Henry’s, why would you go with this? I know! Cheap owner who thinks his patrons will never notice the difference. Further, the espresso is bitter and appalling. Isn’t it kinda early in the game-you just opened-to be cutting corners? Poorly run and poor quality. Rule #1: Never blame incompetent employees-always blame the management for poor leadership.

‘Sablon’ is actually the name of a neigborhood in the historic upper town of Brussels, Belgium — and it was picked as a name to conjure up images of Belgian chocolates. Even though I have yet to visit Belgium, this is my favorite chocolate shop/café in Dallas. Beats the other ones for several reasons, but mostly because the quality of the hot chocolate is better, and also because they just simply offer much more. They have everything that normally pairs well with chocolate, and some. Crepes, chocolate pizzas, waffles, cocktails, fondue, pastries(savory and sweet), and ice cream. The only thing I see missing are the churros, since they would go great with their dark hot chocolates. And that brings me to the other point: Amazing list of hot chocolates, the largest I’ve seen anywhere in town. And what made this one a clincher is that their«Dark» hot chocolate is truly dark! Other places I’ve been to make the«dark» hot chocolate too milky light, even after I request for them to be made thick, dark, Spanish style(as is customary for the churros). It would be nice if they can expand the offerings to include maybe a few plates such as salads with shaved chocolates or raviolis with chocolate sauce. But this is meant to be more of a café rather than a restaurant(which is why I think the churros would be a great fit). I can see myself coming here for hot chocolate and even for a cappuccino. And maybe for a savory pastry or two. AMBIENCE: Comfortable, cozy PRICES: Decent WIFI: Yes

After dinner, my sisters and I decided to find a new dessert place to try and ended up here. My first impression was that this would be a really cute place for a date. The menu includes a variety of different coffees and chocolate desserts that all sound delicious. We got the cookie crumble hot coffee and the chocolate mousse. The cookie crumble coffee was decent, nothing that I would come back for. I love the little cup it comes in though, very unique and adorable. The chocolate mousse was delicious and came with fresh strawberries but I would definitely recommend sharing. Even amongst the three of us, we barely ate half. Overall, worth checking out but probably would not come back anytime soon.

I came to this place on Valentine’s Day, while I was in town visiting a friend, and it was delicious!!! I wish I lived closer, so I could come here more often. My friend and I got the s’mores chocolate fondue, which is milk chocolate fondue with graham cracker and marshmallow dippers. We substituted one section of graham crackers for bananas, but the marshmallows were definitely the best! The place is cute inside and has a coffee-shop feel to it and was laid-back and relaxing. I definitely want to go back and try their crepes and some other dessert options!

I would definitely come back here! Had the hazelnut hot chocolate and rocky road pizza. Everything was great and NOT overly sweet. Pizza curst was ok. Nothing specially but toppings were Wonderful.

We had the eskimo waffles and they were insane! Great place to get a dessert after dinner with good ambiance. Only took off a star because the waffles could have been a tad less chocolatey… it was to the point where it was almost not enjoyable(and that’s coming from a chocolate addict) but thankfully I had someone to share it with!

Very good– and some unexpected offerings like crepes. A ton of chocolate flavors and textures. The place itself is a bit of neither here nor there tho. Not intimate enough for a date– it’s open and bright. Can’t quite figure out whether they were going for a stylish to-go type place– or if they missed the«stay a while, relax» vibe. Worth checking out overall.

It is great place to have a good dessert on a prime location. It will be nice if they incorporate Gluten-free pancakes and/or crepes!!!

Great new spin on the classic coffee shop. This is a desert place, a coffee place, and a work/study hangout. Multiple power strips on the floors and under the counter seats, perfect for plugging in your computer, phone, and everything else you have with you. Very comfy chairs. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. They have many great chocolate deserts and the crepes tasted great, my GF ordered the Nutella and banana ones. Ice Cream on the side and chocolate sauce to poor all over it. Not having a big sweet tooth I had an espresso shot. So this place was able to cater to both the sweets loving as well as those like me who prefer a bitter taste.(Seriously the first thing I mentioned in this review was the extra power strips, I’m not a regular person here but I liked this place) Great new and very different place. Worth a try

This is right down the street from my house! I’ve been watching them build and build and am so excited to try out their fantastic chocolates. FINALLYTHEY’REOPEN! They offer a lot of delicately arranged, decadent and cute coffees, chocolate drinks and singles that are known at some of the nicer chocolate shops(like Teuscher, for example). Little known fact, ‘Sablon’ is the name of a neighborhood in historic Brussels that is incredibly well known for chocolate! Now that I’ve experienced their decadence let’s get started! Toucaccino 10⁄10 This was a really interesting drink for those who want something sweet but not overly rich. A light, lavender scented hot chocolate flavored with honey and nougat. I highly recommend that anyone try it, it’s even served in a little cuddle mug to warm your hands! Espresso 7⁄10 It’s pretty average, paired with the excellent chocolates and treats it makes a nice combination, but nothing to write home about. Crêpe 10⁄10 Here is where it all gets real! I ordered the banana nutella crêpe and this thing was the best! It arrived with a tasty vanilla bean ice-cream, whipped cream and doused in chocolate on top of chocolate, on top of MORECHOCOLATE! The pastry was nice and thin, extra bananas were provided on the side(as to give an extra portion without over stuffing the crepes themselves) and the amount was generous enough even for the two of us. Customer Service 13⁄10 Maybe it was just opening day, but people were so friendly, sweet and attentive. You could tell all the baristas were excited to be there and thrilled to see the shop in motion so they could share with customers what they’ve learned. I’m excited to be a regular here(our server was Olivia, who was beyond sweet to us and entertained us with all her chocolate knowledge)! Atmosphere 10⁄10 So this is kind of an awesome study spot! It has wifi and more than enough chairs and outlets! I work from home and could seriously spend my whole work day here. Not only that, but it’s quiet and a perfect place to take meetings. Overall: MOVEOVERSTARBUCKS I’ve found my new place for that sweet, sweet treat! 10⁄10 would crêpe again!

I was trying to go to Pinkberry, but when I saw this place there instead, I had to try it because I love chocolate(who doesn’t?). As soon as I walked in, I got a bad vibe. The place is trashy. It looks like the kind of place you take your date after dinner in the West Village, if you drove here from Plano and have no taste or class. The cookies looked like they were bought at Tom Thumb and probably stale. The chocolates did not look good at all. Still, having quickly looked up positive reviews on Unilocal,I decided to try something. The guy behind the counter was incompetent and barely spoke English. It took extensive questioning to get a recommendation out of him. I ended up paying $ 8 for a shake that was completely disgusting. It tasted way too sweet and like it was made with horrible quality ice cream. They have better shakes at fast food places.
