Food was average but it was way too expensive. $ 24 for two sandwiches and chips. The hot sandwich was a good size but wasn’t much better than Subway. There are a lot better options in the the area.

This place is completely under rated. It was absolutely fantastic and hit the spot. Lots of options, even veggie and healthier options. Efficient service as well. Only thing is that they have their bread supplied and it is not made in-house. While East Hampton is by far my favorite, I cannot provide 5 stars comparatively. However, it was pretty darn good, though the hole-in-the-wall and name may seem misleading.

Amazing sandwiches! My favorite in Dallas by far! I live right down the street and always take my out of town guests here. Yum!

Ordered the Hot Johnson and it was delicious! The sandwich is made of roast beef, Turkey, bacon, cheddar, mayo, bbq, horsey mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, green peppers, and pepperoncinis. The flavor was great, but didn’t taste any bbq sauce. Either way, it was a great sandwich. The bread was nice and soft with grill marks. Not your typical slim and long hoagie, but a short and ‘stubby’ hoagie. Would recommend!

Went based on reading a couple of reviews and the fact it is around the block from my new apartment. I won’t be back. I got the Leftie. And, I think they left OUT the meat. Was VERY bread-y. Definitely NOT worth the calories. I liked their sweet tea, though.

This restaurant was really underwhelming. I told them 2 times to make sure they didn’t put bacon on my sandwich, and of course when I got home to eat it… bacon. The quality of the ingredients was average and the interior of the restaurant looked a little run down. I will not be returning.

Food was average but nothing to write home about. The tortilla chips were stale, queso lacked flavor, hot dog was salty and chili needed spice. I recommend the deli put prices on menus and don’t leave your customers curious. Also, make sure your cashier put on a smile and don’t act inconvenienced when asked a question.

Stopped here for lunch after seeing the pictures. We had the sandwich and their legendary hat dog. Sandwich had little less the half of what is picture, more just a taste. Hat dog did not seem anything special. After using a groupon, still feel like we paid to much. Found this place to be disappointing, don’t know why people come here.

Have ordered delivery and take out from here a few times. I like it and I love that they deliver. I wish they delivered evenings and weekends rather than just lunch hours during the week but no big deal I can walk over. The meat and veggies are good quality and taste fresh. The bread is a little on the dry side for my taste but I still think this place is worth 4 stars. I know some have complained about the subs being too small for the price but I don’t agree at all Im always full after eating a sandwich from here and I’d rather pay a little more for fresh good quality ingredients. This place has that. Definitely a recommend for a quick lunch.

The food is OK, at best. The food does not match the price. I got a 6″ sandwich for $ 8 and I don’t even think it was 6″.

Tried the«Hot Johnson». The sandwich tastes good but not good enough considering the size of the sandwich. The price per size of the sandwich is very disappointing. Would definitely go back if it was more bang for the buck.

Four stars, quick and easy. I ordered the Hot Johnson and it was delicious. They forgot the BBQ sauce but they were quick to provide. I am definitely coming back to try other sandwiches!

Decent sandwich place. I was realyy excited about trying it loved the theme and humor, but my sandwich was like eating at Jimmy Johns. I will however give it another shot and try the spuds and dogs. The Pasta salad was very tasty and it is a great deal for your money

Been eating here for years. Never had an issue until I placed an order for 6 sandwiches for delivery a mile away. I was told it would be 30 min. Over an hour later and no call I call and they tell me all the deliveries have been made. They placed me on hold for 10 min waiting on manager. Call back and they said the managers not there. Very disappointing…

I got a Groupon for dinner here and was very impressed! I’ve been back multiple times since then. The Hot Johnson and Cowpoke are my favorites. The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating if you were to go with a group!

This place makes AWESOME, tasty sandwiches and has a great selection on the menu. They lose one star for two main reasons: a bit pricey for a sandwich, and a bit slow. I’m okay with the slow because they really make the sandwiches carefully, but if you’re in a rush, this is not the spot for you.

AWESOME sandwiches. Fresh and flavorful. Cannot believe it took me this long to find PD Johnson’s. YUM!!! Try the Lean Ranger, Lefty, or Damn Yankee.

Four stars for the«Hot Johnson» on taste alone. Can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but this seems to be the most popular sandwich they’ve got, hence the name. My biggest complaint would be the size. The small size was ridiculously small. Way less than 6 inches and hardly enough to satisfy even a small craving… especialy for $ 7. Also they forgot to put BBQ sauce on my sandwich and without, it tasted pretty bland. Once I added it in myself it was pretty damn tasty though. Topped with roast beef, turkey, bacon, cheddar, mayo, bbq, horseymayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, green peppers, pepperoncinis, it was a great choice for lunch. Plus side? They deliver for lunch…

Been here a couple of times. I had a cowpoke the last time. I’m not a big sandwich person, but I loved it! The service is as expected. It’s a sub shop. They’re nice.

Don’t let the«Dog Day» part fool you this is no place for canines unless you sit outside! They have a great selection of sammies and you can choose to heat it up or eat it cold. They are also very nice about substitutions so you can definitely have it YOUR way! If your in the mood for a sammie then I’d recommend the«Hankie Pankie» but I substitute ham for the turkey(no offense turkey). Not in the mood for that then they have a nice selection of salads and stuffed baked potatoes. Either way you can find something to fill your belly at lunch. The ambiance is unique given they have some cool retro furniture towards the back that you can relax while you wait for your to go order. If you choose to dine in there are a couple TVs for your viewing pleasure. All in all you’ll definitely see me back here for a quick lunch!
