I would consider them a cheaper, less flavorful Torchy’s. That being said, their queso is pretty good. The fried chicken taco was dry. None of the meat really had any flavor. The salsa’s are ok. The Habanero also didn’t have flavor, but just a good amount of heat. The value is there if you are looking for something a little above Taco Cabana.

This may be the filthiest restaurant in Dallas! During my visit, most all the tables were very dirty with food all over them. There were 4 employees on duty when I arrived– none of them doing anything but standing ariund. The floors were very dirty also. The tortilla on the shrimp taco tasted as if it had been warmed 3 days ago. It was very tough. This place will not likely succeed in a neighborhood that demands high quality! What a shame that the neighborhood’s favorite hamburger joint, previously located at this location was told to move after so many years of terrific food and service! This taco place is a huge disappointment!

I was really pleased with the fish, fried chicken, and pork tacos — great sauces to accompany.

Not bad overall! Good variety and strong margaritas. The brisket taco was the only one that needed tweaking for lack of flavor. Otherwise we had a chicken taco, shrimp and texmex all pretty yum! See the pics and check it out for yourself

Finally made it to this spot, got their pretty late on a Saturday night. I was surprised we were the only ones there. This is a great location, in a trendy part of town. The tacos were fine. The food was fresh and the service was good. We had the #‘s 1 and 3 with an order of chips and dip. I can admit I was expecting more. That’s not to say anything was wrong, it was fine. Strange they had great fountain drinks — I know, off topic somewhat. Being that Mexican is big in Dallas, and their are many great options they will have to step it up a few notches. I will check it out on another day early hour.

This a Rusty taco just changed the name to an initial. It isn’t packed all the time(I hate standing in line for 20 minutes for tacos). Their queso and guacamole is some of my favorite in town. Breckinridge Christmas Ale on tap for under $ 5 can’t be beat. I’ve been a couple of times for breakfast tacos and lunch. Tacos were hot and fresh both times. It’s not as exotic as Velvet taco, but I prefer the street taco style with simple ingredients. Staff have always had a smile and been pleasant to interact with. I’ll definitely be back.

I would give less stars if I could. We almost left when we arrived because the cook was eating and pouring a drink at the fountain drink machine with gloves on. He then proceeded to go around to cook and lifted his pants with the same gloves on then grabbed the tortillas still yet to change his gloves. Very unprofessional staff sitting at the bar top. Why are you wasting so much money hiring these extra employees to just sit there and be loud. The food was average to below and in surprised I even ate it after seeing him lift his pants and eat his food with the same gloves. Ordered chips an queso and the chips were just covered in grease. Long story short, we won’t be returning. I have pictures of the staff just sitting there as well.

I blame myself. I left a completely packed, standing room only Velvet Taco to come here and there were tumbleweeds. When have I ever gone inside a completely empty restaurant and it be a wonderful experience? I’ve seen standing room only at the rusty taco on Greenville so this will be fine, right? Ordered the food and before I could choose a table it was ready. I was like how is it possible to cook that fast? Well if you skip the grill entirely, it’s super fast! My food was so cold it had a wind chill. Pete Delkus was announcing school closings based on the frigidness of my food. They remade and it was above freezing. I use remade lightly because the bacon was old on my breakfast taco and the cheese was cold. It’s also a bad sign when your entire staff is huddled by the grill watching one person cook. Very odd and tasteless experience. The margarita was undrinkable. I NEVER waste a drink but that was dreadful. They get a star because the staff was nice. I cannot imagine this place staying open.

Rusty Taco became«R Taco»… where Snookie’s used to be. We caught up? Other than dropping the«usty» there’s not much(besides its newness) that distinguishes it from other locations. Same variety of tacos of all types meats(and lack thereof) and even all day breakfast tacos, $ 3 dollar beers, the usual. This location is spacious, has great service, and offers something new to the area.
