I have thoroughly enjoyed myself the past 2 Sunday nights for the Poetry Slam. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is great, & the people are friendly. It is a great place to unwind before the week begins. Also, this place has been renamed 1011 Grill & has a nice, big sign, so you can’t get lost. :)

I found this bar using my Unilocal app to show me bars nearby. I drove by Lee Harvey’s and saw it was a giant yard filled with frat boys with a loud band and kept on driving and found myself here instead and I’m glad I did. This would be classified as an awesome«dive» bar. Inexpensive, no windows, no bullshit, food, billiards, loud good music and just fun. Great prices on beers, shots of Patron, Hypnotiq and X-Rated which I tried for the first time thanks to the awesome bartender lady. This is a hip-hop/R&B bar and the area might freak some people out because it’s not upscale or «lounge-y» but I don’t care. Everyone here is here to have a good time, no drama. They have a limited menu of nachos, pizza, burgers, wings(BBQ, buffalo, lemon-pepper and regular fried) and other alcohol-soakers that I would bet money they make really well, but I didn’t order any this time around. Next time I’m in Dallas I will come back, I love the vibe and the casual atmosphere and the music and great service. The music makes you want to get up and wind your hips ;) Don’t be a pussy, don’t worry if you’re the only white person, come down to Quick’s! I loved it! Free parking too, always a bonus, and just down the street from the Omni and the Convention Center. What are you still reading this review for? Go, go, go!
