1011 is better than the food! 1011 is better than the entertainment! The service when they have no clue who you are is incomparable and the connection that ownership makes with patrons is unknown anywhere else! I should give five stars but the nights I want to go due to demand parking is tight! I can’t blame that on a successful business but it’s my duty to be honest… once you get in its worth it.

Celebrated my birthday here & had great time. The services, drinks & food were good. Small atmosphere but still able to move around & dance without running into each other.

Came here on a Sunday night to enjoy a night of poetry. Cover was $ 25. I was bit nervous when I seen reviews mentioning erotic poetry (not my thing at all), but was happy to see that there was variety and that wasn’t the focus of this particular event. However, please be aware.
All of the poets and entertainment were very talented and the entire event was well organized from start to finish. All staff were friendly and professional too. Seating was also cozy and temperature was regulated nicely (never got hot and stuffy like some venues can get when they start filling up).
The food and wait service was the only thing that slightly bummed me out. I ordered Fish and Chips upon arriving and waited so long for them to come out (your girl was hungry!). After my meal came, my fish was beautiful, yet undercooked so I returned it and opted not to order anything else since by that time it was almost time to leave. Other reviewers mentioned that the food and service are typically great here, so I don’t believe you’ll run into the same problem I did. I heard the wings were good! Maybe, try that?

Went on a night when there was a DJ. Music was pretty good. Customer service was excellent. It was pretty empty when my date & I got there, but of the few ppl that were there everyone seemed to be having a really good time! We had the Beef Nachos & they were very good & you get a lot. However, they are no longer BYOB as other earlier reviews say. They have a bar. I would really like to come back on a live music night.

Went to 1011 last night and had a great time. The drinks and food are great, ordered the fried wings and the nacho with the turkey meat. The live band was fantastic had me on the dance floor all night. I will be a regular..

The wings are excellent! Music flowing old school, real head bobbing! Customer service is beyond expectations. I must see Thursday night happy hour.

Great food. Friendly staff. The live music is good. Great venue. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I haven’t had the pleasure of dining in and listening to the entertainment. But if you are working the convention center, or need a quick delivery give these cats a shout. Hands down Best Turkey Burger evar!

Went to the 1011 today for a special event. They are not usually open on Sunday, but the owner, his wife and their staff graciously opened for the event. The place was packed and they did a fantastic job taking orders, fixing food and checking up on things. Had the sautéed shrimp, hush puppies and fries, fantastic comfort food. Shrimp were large, cooked perfectly and the hush puppies were perfect. Considering the crowd all showed up at the same time and all ordered at the same time, the service was unbelievable. The owners were gracious and attentive, please go and support your local restaurants.

I tried to spend money with «family» however, there is a charge to park in their parking lot. I would’ve spent well over the $ 5.00 parking fee in drinks and food. So disappointed.

The first thing that jumps out to me is the service. It is thoughtful and sincere. Nothing Eddie Haskell about this place, just genuine folks providing a solid, comfort menu with real entertainment. No autotuned fluff, this place brings talent. They are local business owners doing their best to provide an authentic venue for all to enjoy. All of this together makes a beautiful gumbo.

The turkey burger is excellent. I repeat, the turkey burger is excellent.
You have to really understand, I cannot stand turkey burgers, turkey spaghetti, turkey jerky and most variations outside of fried turkey on Thanksgiving (which deserves its own very special review). In steps Ten Eleven Grill.
They may have Keebler Elves in the kitchen, I’m not going to ask and I don’t really care. All I know is I love good food and this is it. This experience is one of the reasons I explore different places and try things. How else does discovery occur?
I’m not sure where they keep the top ten list for turkey burgers, but this should be on it. It is also a good place to meet for lunch.

This is an awesome place for food and entertainment. Its a sportsbar with lots of tvs to watch all the big games. The catfish is the best in DFW. The butterflied shrimp is succulent. You should stop by. Thank me later. Also they have a live band every friday night and its a fun party. Its BYOB so bring you own baby and your own booze. They do have some free beer, wine and daiquiris. Do yourself a favor and check out Ten Eleven Grill. Its down home fun.

Went to Ten Eleven for a recent FLOW poetry reading/​music event night.
What a gem. Beginning with the person at the door the staff was friendly, attentive and very helpful. Menus and water appeared promptly and with a friendly word or two. Even though I don’t fit the age/​race demographic of the place I was made to feel very welcome. The crowd itself was lively and happy.
The menu was basic – sandwiches and the like – and very fairly priced. Our food came out freshly cooked and nicely presented. The food was tasty and overall great value.
The venue is attractive and clean. Events start on time. The sound system works well. Lighting is just right.
In sum, this is a clean, friendly and well-​run place. Well worth a visit.

Went here on Saturday night after a Meetup event and all i can say is fun fun fun. A couple of things to know when you go…1. Bring a little cash ($ 5 to get in), although they will run a card,…2. Its BYOB.
Everyone has their own stuff but they do make daiquiris here that are free if you are a very light drinker.
I can’t really comment on the food as I didn’t try anything but the atmosphere was down home good times. think Memphis hole in the wall. Music was a mix of Blues and rap with random Karaōke mixed in. Staff was great!

Great things happen at erotic poetry night. I was greatly surprised that it was only going to cost me $ 5 to get in and her some ladies going wild like we were at a peep show. I think people used to pay like $ 5 a minute for greatness like this. You know the show is great when Cat fills up her notebook with tons of great notes. One of the highlights was the venue is BYOB. I think I even heard them saying ladies were getting complimentary wine.
I have always wanted to go to any type of poetry slam and you simply can’t go wrong starting off with erotic poetry. The entertainment was chock full of different peoples take on erotica. The men and women were well represented and some of the ladies went more then once. I liked masterpiece because she had nice hair and nice eyes. I’m thinking she most likely is just a great all around type of gal. The DJ was great and they had a nice break in between sets so you could get out there and touch your toes if you felt like it. I will definitely go back and try the food and maybe finish the beer that Cat brought with her.

Definitely come for poetry slam nights! It’s a small fee of $ 5 at the door but you’ll laugh your butt off!!! and best of all, it’s BYOB!!!
For food, do get the chicken nachos. Don’t get the loaded fries because it’s soggy!!! the cheese is nacho cheese and not the melted cheese. I would have liked it better if it was just the melted cheese over fries. Atmosphere is great. This venue is great for renting it out for birthday parties, too.

THE ENTERTAINMENT:
I started coming here on Sunday nights for the poetry slams. $ 5 cover at the door is a good price for the entertainment offered.
Everyone here is a great part of 1011 — Dewayne, owner; Michael, promoter; Emily, server; door gal; poets; DJ’s; & regulars! Dewayne ensures he makes everyone who walks through his doors feel welcome to be there.
All the poets have something great to offer, but Miss Viki is by far my fave poet. I’ve seen her perform 3 times now. She knows how to work that tongue… to recite poetry and eat tootsie pops. ;-) She’s very entertaining!
Thanks to Michael, there is always a featured poet who usually goes out of their way to travel to Dallas from another state such as, Reecee who came in from Chicago, IL yesterday. Michael is also very entertaining & has good poetry of his own. He is a self proclaimed Clit-​technician (only expressed during erotic poetry slams). LOL. He gets members of the audience involved by asking everyone to donate a word he then incorporates into a poem by the end of the night.
THE KITCHEN:
The kitchen is always open and serves up some pretty good chicken nachos. I’d pass on the loaded fries, though. Maybe if they were made with shredded cheese instead of nacho cheese I’d like em better. They have servers who take your order and deliver ‘em too.
1011 is B.Y.O.B. Bring your own beer, wine, or liquor and they’ll provide you with a low-​cost set-​up of glassware, ice, cut up limes, and a mixer (e.g., coke or sprite).
THE LOCATION:
1011 is at the corner of Corinth and Lamar in South Dallas. When you park here, park on the front side of the building off of Lamar. DON’T PARK AT CHICKEN N THINGS OR YOU WILL GET TOWED!
