Another great lunch choice! Had the crusted trout and it is superb along with the chicken parm — excellent! Soup and salads were fresh and tasty. Gotta love the fresh breads as well. They also have Texas Ale’s Draft Beer from the brewery across the street and it is excellent!

I had tasted of her Stilton cheese cakes at a party I once attended and for my next function I ordered one. When I went to pick it up the lady who greeted me reeked of cheep alcohol and unbathed sweat. I was so turned off I did not serve it or eat it. My suggestion would be… Take a bath and lay off the hooch ! I will never consider her again!

A very quirky place indeed. Essentially it is a caterer who runs a restaurant sometimes. Not normally open on a saturday night but they were this night. Small wine list, lots of fried food, but done very nicely. We shared the popcorn crawfish and the fried oysters. Then Madame had the fried soft shell crab. She pronounced it delicious. I had the fried quail — again nicely done. Ithers in the party had shrimp dishes. Good stuff too. We didn’t ned to linger — and it’s just as well, it isn’t a lingering kinda place.

Marqaux definitely rates as a foodie find! Tucked in an industrial/interior decorators center, this gem serves up fine food and has great service to boot. Love this place! My favorite taste of the day were there Soft Shell crabs. Yummy.

Oh Margaux’s. I wish you were open for dinner other than on Friday. Hopefully, with all the buzz on the design district, it might be? For now, it’s another great place/semi hidden spot for lunch in the area. The boss lady loves their fried oysters, and I think their To-Go sandwiches are the best thing since sliced bread! They have a few standards that are offered daily and a special that changes everyday through the week. My favorite is the chicken salad(tues). It’s a good portion and the classic no fuss kind that mom used to make. Whoever runs Margaux’s is also a genius! She serves the condiments on the side SOYOURSANDWICHDOESN’T GETSOGGY. You get a fruit cup AND a deviled egg. Now, I know that deviled eggs are not everyon’s cup of tea. But who the heck serves deviled eggs these days(that are SUPERYUMMY to boot). All this food for $ 6.50??? Beat that subway.
