Remember when Lula B’s was on Lower Greenville and I could WALK to it? I do, and while I lament it’s lack of locality, I do love the bigger digs. Prices are still reasonable. Stuff is still awesome. And the clothes are no so crammed together so that you can’t look through it all. In case you’ve not been to Lula B’s you can expect to find every kind of kitch in the world including but not limited to furniture, bar accessories, art, clothes, boots, bowling bags, kitchen ware, toys, globes(yes, I totally have a thing for globes) and all forms of décor! And they were open July 4th – SCORE. Walked out with a sign that read BAR. You may be asking what’s so cool about that. Well, it was cool because it was actually the top sign from an old slot machine and was framed. SOCOOL!

I first discovered Lula B’s in Deep Ellum. That location has more kitchy items — tons, actually. This location is more big stuff — old furniture, bigger items. But still plenty to look at and see here. I’ve bought cufflinks here too — they have an old jewelry case where you press buttons to make the insides turn so you can see each shelf in turn(love that for some reason). Lotta old lamps, art, chairs, tables, etc. Lotta wacky stuff. But I do enjoy poking around this store. In general, if you’re looking for small stuff(jewelry, collectable figurines, junk) go to the Deep Ellum location. For bigger items like furniture and the like, try this location.
