Dr. Petersen is awesome. Doesn’t charge for the extras either. Highly recommend.

I don’t know much, but I know I love you… Seriously. I have no idea what chiropractors do, really but I can attest to the results. I have had some neck/back issues pop up randomly over the years, and on occasion severe enough to warrant a dr visit. Upon consulting friends(one of whom is a PT), I got several suggestions of going to visit a chiro. Having been to one in college pretty regularly(bc my mom went and raved about it) I understood what an adjustment was all about, but never really had issues so never really felt that much difference. I was really just meh about it. Really. :) Fast forward a few years and I am old and creaky, now the difference is unreal. I went in for having woken up 2 – 3 times in a couple of months where I literally could not turn my head to the right(which besides just being painful also makes driving difficult), and I was not sure what they could do but hoping for the best. I got several referrals but ended up going to see Dr Todd Petersen bc of proximity and availability. My friend who does hair(stands on her feet all day) swore by him, so I thought it was worth a shot. Dr Todd assessed my situation, did some electrode stuff, some massage with an instrument of some sort(not that kind), and finally got to the good stuff — folded me up like an accordion and then adjusted the bejeezus out of my bones and joints. I immediately felt relief and got some range of motion back, though I could not go all the way(TWSS). He indicated that I had likely compressed something causing a pinched nerve of some sort, and came up with a plan for me to see him pretty regularly(every few days or so) until the kinks were worked out. I was skeptical, thinking of course you want me to come every day, Mister. But because I already felt better, I did. Every visit I left feeling lighter and more free, not just the pressure in my neck but overall. I think it took 5 visits over 2 weeks to completely eliminate the issue, and I think it was completely worth it. I had a really busy travel schedule shortly after, so wasn’t able to go back for a few weeks, and started feeling really crunchy again, bunched up I’m sure from long hours in plane seats as well as hunching over a lap top. In addition, I hadn’t been to yoga in a couple weeks so I was in need of some TLC. I called Dr Todd and was able to schedule an appt within a day or so, and walked in feeling like an overworked pack mule and walked out feeling like a million bucks. I really don’t understand it, and I know there are skeptics(and even warnings about the so called dangers) about chiropractors, but I think I have definitely found a great one. In addition to cracking my back, he is the official back cracker of the SMU athletic dept, so I figure if he’s good enough for them he’s good enough for me! 2 pain free thumbs up from me, highly recommend for anyone suffering from neck or back pain — even if you think it’s just«normal at this age» or «kinda just par for the course with my job).
