Their menu is very refreshing, with very interesting combinations. We tried the fire calamari, fish and chips for the kids, and great tuna sliders for us. Is more expensive than average, but well deserved given the food quality.

Yummy! No wonder this place has good reviews. Parking was a pain in the rear though during lunch hour. I had to circle around the area a bit to find parking. My sister had to park 3 blocks away at a park! I was almost tempted to eat else where since it was so difficult to find parking! It was not the restaurants fault though. Their good food almost made the parking situation worthwhile. Panko fried cod sandwich($ 14) was delicious. Their tarter sauce packs a lot of flavors and compliments the sandwich well. The fried cod wasn’t too greasy or dry. Their seared tuna wrap($ 16) was also delicious. I had mine naked without the wrap so it would taste even healthier. The tuna was seared perfectly. The coconut in the rice made it smell and taste divine. I wouldn’t order the seafood bouillabaisse($ 20) again though, it was so so. We thought it was too sour to enjoy the dish and the bread used for the dipping was a little burnt. This place was a little pricey for lunch but worth it for once in a while. You order and pay when you walk in. There’s a few sitting area with booths on one side and they have a long tall table with bar high stool. I was a little hesitant to take my sleeping son in a stroller because the place looked small but there was enough space to maneuver the stroller around and park it.

So happy to have this creative, health conscious seafood inspired restaurant nearby! I’ve dined here 10 – 15 times now and have tried the gamut of offerings. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate a restaurant that takes a little time to plate something in a creative manner. Dive does a great job with this. Here are a few of my favs… The oyster Bahn Mi sandwich has become a secret addiction of mine as of late. It has a great mix of flavors and I love the bread it is served on. The Ahi Tuna wrap is a great choice. It is filled with lots of fresh tuna, ginger slaw, cucumber, avocado & rice. It is served with a ponzu sauce and wrapped in a large spinach tortilla. I’m getting hungry just describing it! On the appetizer side of things they have a great twist on calamari. Frying not only the calamari, but lemon wheels also! This is all mixed with cilantro and scallions, served with slaw and a nice sweet chili sauce. One last thing, the Mussels are definitely worth a try here. They come in a great tomato garlic sauce and are served with grilled sourdough bread. I’m a sucker for sourdough :) Keep up the good work Dive!

‘Another day another burger’ I thought, headed down to burger house on Hillcrest Avenue at Snider Plaza. Luckily I had a friend who absolutely steered me down to dive coastal cuisine restaurant and my first question was where is all the beef and fried foods? Well they did have some beef but mostly I started reading the menu and was totally surprised to see some really strong & interesting flavor combos and some interesting dishes, so I ordered the fire calamari as well the Oyster Banh Mi –fried oysters with Sri racha aoli on ciabatta bun(heavenly pillowy soft). Let me tell you it was nothing short of spectacular. Also: Ginger gimlet margarita and delicious plantain chips! I could rave on & on about the food with superlatives but the truth is that it all just tasted so fresh and had the most interesting flavor combinations so it was a unique experience for my tastebuds! If you’re swinging by this area don’t let the casual café style fool you they are dead serious about their cooking and you should definitely try it!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! What a great menu. I have to admit, I was skeptical of Dive at first, but had lunch there with a friend and it was fantastic. And we were pleasantly surprised that they had Paleo options on the menu.

yum Yum Yum. Had their Ahi Tuna wrap and it melted in my mouth!!! Their tea is good as well! Their chips were interesting but not my style. A friend had their hearts of palms salad and I thought it looked amazing as did everything coming out of their kitchen. The line was a little long for 7 pm on a weeknight but well worth the wait.

Pretty good, seems fairly healthy, small lunch place. I love seafood and am picky about freshness. I was not disappointed. Most of Dallas’ casual seafood is the fried fare, so this concept is quite welcome. There are many non-seafood items as well. Only con is that it gets crowded at lunch, sometimes there is a wait to get a table. Also, there isn’t wait service– which is fine, but worth noting. None of the sauces or dishes are insanely good but all are pretty good, so it’s on my regular lunch list.

Good food but fish portions(I’ve ordered the salmon on my saad twice) are insultingly small for the price! Iced tea is over-priced too; I ordered a gallon and was surprised to find it was $ 15. Overall, decent menu but expensive for what you get.

This is a great place to get a wide variety of fresh high quality seafood in the middle of the city. I love their iced tea bar! It’s an iced tea lover’s dream! This little restaurant will make you feel like you’re on vacation. Parking in Snider Plaza can be tricky around lunch hour though.

The good: I had the jumbo lump crab blt and it was awesome. I definitely recommend it. The place is nice and the service was great. The bad: The price. I paid $ 18 for a sandwich with a side of chips. I understand it is crab but I just felt like that was too much. I may have felt more justified had the side been better. I think the chips were house made, I’m not sure. What I am sure of is that they aren’t very good. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to spend almost $ 20 on a sandwich and order something other than chips as your side.

I came on a Wednesday, early evening. Stopped in to find a place to hide out while avoiding traffic. The Crab BLT was amazing. Thick cut bacon, lots of crab meat, crisp lettuce; all the sandwich elements were superb and complimentary. I’m not sure how they made their super thin fries, but they were delicious. Definitely made in-house and it shows. The service was quick and courteous with friendly and helpful staff. Staff recommended the Crab BLT when I was torn between food choices. I’m glad I followed their suggestion. The glass of wine was a great addition and I enjoyed their overall atmosphere, a mix of SMU students, professionals and small families. I definitely plan on coming again the next time I’m in the area to explore other menu options.

Liked it ok. The food was decent at a reasonable price. Atmosphere was casual and comfortable but the place overall was lacking any revisit worthy attributes. A good place to grab a somewhat quick lunch that is freshly prepared.

I’m trying to hold off on giving too many 5-star reviews but Dive Coastal served a near perfect lunch on my first visit. I got the Dive Wrap with plantain chips. The wrap had chicken, grilled onions, cilantro rice, tomato with a spinach tortilla. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great. They served it with a tahini dipping sauce but I never used it because the wrap tasted perfect as is. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment was not getting to try anything else on the menu. Plenty of fish options. If you’re around SMU/Snider Plaza this is a great lunch option. Big thumbs up.

This is a great casual place for fish. My only complaint is the fish portion size is small for a guy like me. Perfect place for women to have a healthy lunch in highland park.

Pretty good place if your looking to eat more on the healthy side. If I had to rank my favorite it would be the Ahi Tuna Wrap. You can get it as a platter as well. The steak wrap is also good, and the tacos. You really can’t mess up on tacos. I don’t recommend getting the shrimp wrap. For twelve dollars you’ll get 4 pieces of small shrimp shoved all the way in back and have to work through all that cabbage and lettuce to get it. Not a fan of the Sangria, had better; however the ice teas like mojito is really good. They give you all the fixings like the agave, mint, lime. There are more options to choose from that are good too.

Woohoo! Don’t you just love impromptu Saturdays, where you drive around hungry and then stumble upon a gem? I was in the mood for«something seafoody» without the whole process of going to a restaurant and through that whole production. I ordered the curry shrimp wrap and it tasted even better than I imagined. It came with a side of plantain chips. The shrimp itself is not curried, the sauce comes on the side. It was the perfect bite that leaves you satisfied, not too full and not too needy. I can’t wait to go back to try the fish n chips and other things. It’s not the cheapest spot but I have to assume because the fishies come from afar. And after all it’s in the more affluent side of town so they know they can get away with it.

This place blew me away with the sheer quality of their food, current concept, and some of the best fresh produce I’ve seen around & utilized so well. Prices are a bit steep for me but hey, it’s for the highland parkers of the world. They serve daily fresh catches and creative specials. I will be returning to try the fabulous-looking crab blt and a few of their tasty beverages. This place is great for a casual date night or nice weekend lunch. The ice tea bar with about 6 choices is also a fantastic offering! Sticker shock was worth the taste and healthfulness!

Got the seared ahi tuna wrap. I was ok with it half way through but I couldn’t finish it bc it got too fishy tasting towards the end if you like that kind of thing. It definitely tastes better if it has the 2 sauces in it that they give you. If I come back I won’t get this again. $ 17 is too much to spend on a wrap when I’m still hungry afterwards. Cute place and other interesting things on menu I may try if I ever make it back.

Great food in a low key but nice atmosphere. It’s an order at the counter type of joint. Small, clean and cute. They offer a few local crafts and izze drinks which is a plus. We started with some calamari which was stellar! I had to go for the ahi wrap, huge chunks of seared ahi. Perfect. It was served up with some crispy plantain chips. Everyone’s food was awesome, fresh and healthy. This place will become a staple.

A true favorite! Nestled in Snider Plaza, Dive Coastal is quite unsuspecting but I am always pleased with my meal. Healthy, fresh and creative seafood based dishes are served up here and there is something for everyone. My personal favorite is thier seared ahi wrap which is huge and doesn’t come with any unhealthy sides like french fries or anything like that. The curried shrimp wrap is also fab! You really can’t go wrong with anything you order from tacos to their kale salad. For a special treat, they sell Oh Brownies!
