This is a Near North Dallas neighborhood spot. I come here once a year, but I’ll be coming more often. I’m having the pizziola today and it’s fantastic. I had them substitute the marinara base for an Alfredo. No problem. It’s totally reasonably priced, quality prep and seasoning, excellent service from family-owned owner, constantly cleaning as they get ready for a big Friday night. So many regulars and they are so loyal. I know why now. Very, very clean. Owners and staff cordial and very professional with each other and with patrons. Hardly any overhead lighting and very muted… one TV is on but they play lovely Italian music the whole time. Nice colors, paintings, wood blinds, brick wall — feel like I’m not in North Dallas. Just a really cozy place, homegrown, friendly and awesome food!!! Did I mention it’s BYOB. ? QUALITY and inexpensive and accommodating. Did I mention it is BYOB??? Make this girl happy all day long.

You can always tell an Italian restaurant is good by their calamari and Frankie’s has the best I’ve ever tasted. Their salad with house dressing is my favorite, it is the second best to their calamari. My favorite dish is a chicken parmesan and their customer service is awesome! The music is relaxing and I love how they decorated the place. I bring friends, family and church family there and we always leave satisfied! I’ve been eating there for years and will continue to do so!

We have been visiting Franki’s once a week for 10 years. This is our go to family spot. Ali and Henri are still there to provide over the top service, a great experience and consistently good food. Still BYOB. Great family friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant.

Went here for lunch the other day and had the margarita pizza! One of the best pizzas to ever touch these beautiful lips!

Our go to for Friday night takeout. Never had a bad meal here, reasonably priced and quick! Have yet to eat in, but love the old school feel and BYOB. Husband loves the Everything pizza and I usually share an XL cheese with the kids, most of the time, there are leftovers(and who doesn’t like cold pizza?!).

Definitely a favorite of a lot of people-it seemed like everyone in there knew everyone else. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was cozy. The chicken picatta was okay, but nothing special. The tiramisu was amazing.

Very very good!!! Excellent pizza and the bread there is amazing too. Reasonably priced, not chic by any means, but a great product.

This has always been my favorite pizza place. I moved away for a few years and let’s just say I’m glad to be back in the area. You have to try to house dressing, it’s so yummy I could bathe in it! Pizza is perfection!

We were craving a slice of pizza and were in this neighborhood so I Unilocaled«pizza by the slice» and came across this place. We were a little hesitant but we were happy we stopped because the pizza was super tasty. Great service, delicious pizza, cozy environment… we loved it!

Was tempted to give this place a five, but it’s hard to do that off of just one visit. Had the chicken parmigiana. The food was quite delicious. The portions were decent, not great. Just a good local Italian joint.

The good: red sauce is excellent, BYOB, close to home, quaint and dark Italian-like dining, friendly staff. The bad: pizza is low on flavor and outer crust gets very hard, Tiramisu is pre-made in plastic containers and is sometimes half frozen, chicken marsala doesn’t have enough flavor, dining area is small, cramped and warm when they are busy, walk outside and sometimes smell dumpster trash. We really want to like this place because its in the neighborhood, but there are only a few items on the menu I will eat. They have obviously done well over the years and many people like them. Give them a try and you be the judge.

Hooray for old school red sauce joints– reliable, satisfying and completely lacking in the desire to overthink/upgrade/outdo themselves in the menu department. Sadly, they’re also becoming a scarcity all over the country, as humble older restaurants attempt to «improve», where no such thing is needed. Franki’s doesn’t seem to have that desire, thank god. That said, this place can be relied upon for savory traditional Italian-American dishes served inexpensively and reliably. Pizzas, parmigiana, clam dishes and more are on the menu that never changes, and rightly so. It’s all delicious. Lunch offers some of the best deals in town, with pizza, pastas and baked dishes available at great prices. The staff is great and always eager to assist, and the food comes out very quickly. Seriously, you can’t miss. At last, if you’re in the market for dessert, order the cannoli. Just trust me– it’s fantastic. Mangia!

Eh… So so OK food. Had the sauteed crabclaws — not very fresh. The pizza needs a little bit more tomato sauce, crust on the outer rim was hard as a rock — inedible to be exact. I’ve had New York pizzas and this in no way compares to it’s deliciousness… Décor needs to be updated and the place smells, ugh…

My husband and I had been wanting to try out this place since moving into the neighborhood about 3 months ago. We finally got around to it, and we were pleasantly surprised! The outside looks a little questionable– regular shopping center store front with pizza by the slice specials printed on the window. But when you walk in, it’s a very cozy atmosphere with faux brick walls, dimmed lighting, faux ivy and grapevines, just not what you would expect from the outside. We were seated as soon as we walked in. The place was busy, with almost every table full, but no wait. We ordered the mussels and some garlic bread. I’m new to eating mussels, but in my opinion they were alright. I loved dipping the garlic bread into the sauce from the mussels. I then ordered the sampler plate(cannelloni, lasagna, and… something else, I can’t remember). All very good, very tasty, exactly what I had hoped for. Then I tasted my husband’s meal. I believe it was the lobster linguine, in a pink sauce. Despite my best efforts to negotiate a trade, he wasn’t going for it. We both left two very clean plates in front of us. The BYOB factor is nice, because we were able to take wine we’d received as a gift and finally enjoy it with some good food. While enjoying dinner, we did notice that we were a bit younger than their typical customers, by about 20 years. ha ha ha. It doesn’t detract from the delicious food, but still something to consider for those who like to visit more trendy spots. It’s also worth noting that they deliver, if you’re ever feeling extra lazy and want some good food!

Franki’s is my boyfriend, and by default my, go to place for pizza. They’re fast. They’re cheap. They’re pretty good. We always order to go/delivery but we finally went and ate there for once the other day. I tried the calzone(huge change from the usual, I know) and the boy-toy tried a pasta dish. We both were pretty content. While good, I don’t think I’d deviate much from the pizza selection.
