Del Friscos is a total joke. First of all charging for valet parking is absolutely pathetic when you own your own lot. Should have been a sign of upcoming nickel and diming. Walking in the atmosphere is terrible. The bar filled with overweight middled aged men dressed horribly like they just got off shift at the local auto repair shop. Seriously looked like a run down sports bar crowd. Staff looks, acts, and has the attitude of cheap strip club cocktail waitresses and the manager matches with his oversized $ 99 suit. The décor and woodwork all over the restaurant is filty, dusty, scratched to oblivion, and extremely well worn. Once seated drinks took forever to arrive after placing our order. The wine was terrible and a lot warmer than red wine should be. The complementary bread was terrible and tasted like some instant pillsbury loaf. Clearly get what you pay for on the bread side here. My friend ordered a salad which looked wilted and quite old. He confirmed it was quite soft missing the crunch in the greens denoting their age. I skipped having a starter. For a main I ordered a fillet mid rare. A touch overcooked and closer to medium but nothing I’d send it back over. Taste wise however it was quite lacking and tasted like cheap walmart meat. My friend ordered the sesame seared tuna rare(cold rare in their terms). It arrived a lot more than rare or a «cold rare». He was not a fan of it at all. I tasted some of it and it tasted like frozen sysco discount garbage. Its like it spent its past couple years in a freezer getting freezer burned. We also got a side of fries which were the most disgusting overpriced things on earth. They lacked any flavor, were soggy and limp as can be, and dripping in oil. Based on the pathetic disgusting level of food thus far we obviously opted to skip out on dessert. We were floored when the bill came. Absolute extortion greed and gross overcharging. This is applebees quality food and service with a fine dining price tag. There is ZERO value for dollar here it is a total scam and rip off. One would be well advised never to visit even if on an expense account. Stick with a bag of beef jerky and a coke from CVS across the street, it’ll be closer to a fine dining steakhouse meal and experience than this place. Our waitress did mention they were closing soon and moving to uptown across from mortons steak house… and about 10+ other steakhouses within a several block walking radius. Genius real estate move. Hopefully that will be the final nail in their coffin and this dump will close for good.

Don’t waste your time or money going here. The Del’s salad which is a basic green salad had wilted veggies. Looked like an old bag salad with a nice piece of bacon on top. Oysters on the half shell where the tiniest ever seen. They meat was the size of a nickel. The lobster Mac and cheese was good, but had almost no lobster in it. The potatoes au gratin was flavorless and oily. The tuna steak was cooked perfectly but covered in some disgusting sauce. Also, after the waiter listed a dish with balsamic vinegar, he was clueless whether or not we could get balsamic vinegar for the salad. Then after waiting 40 mins for the bill I tried to speak to the GM. The GM, Gina, was not working that night. I spoke to Chris, the manager on duty, he stated that the bill would take 30mins to complete due to switching from 1 bill to individual bills and blamed all of us in the group. It then took another 20mins to get the bill. When I told Chris he would get a bad Unilocal review for the poor service, he just walked away. I’ll never go back to del frisco’s

I had never been here before but was very lucky to get to attend a vendor lunch in their upstairs banquet space. The food was, of course, delicious. I was able to order a 28 day aged steak and I think it was 16oz! It was huge, and way too much food before they even brought out the family style sides. The steak was cooked perfectly to a rare with a great ring around the edges and well-seasoned. The sides I got to try: Spinach — Very tasty. Lobster mac n cheese — SO good! Definitely order this as a side. Château potatoes — Way too filled with onions. Not good. Sauteed mushrooms — meh. Not great. Desserts: Butter cake is probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! A vanilla/lemon layer cake, also very good, and then a pumpkin dish which was so-so. The butter cake though, the freaking butter cake. I just wished I had room for more of it! They did an impeccable job serving a large group of people and the food was amazing!

Ok so it’s not as private as the Fort Worth location, but it was still an amazing experience! My husband proposed to me in Fort Worth and we just wanted to experience this location for a nice dinner together. I couldn’t decide on a wine because honestly I don’t remember names unless I have it all the time. I mentioned to our waitress what flavor I like when I get wines and she came up with 2. She brought them out for me to sample and she hit the nail on the head with a Rosa Regale wine! My husband had a VIP drink that was vodka and fresh pineapple but he likes strong drinks so he ended up just settling for a Budweiser after that, lol. We also ordered some VOSS sparkling water with our drinks. That was refreshing. For starters we had the crab cake, I had a blue cheese wedge salad and my Hubbs and me both ordered the 8 oz filet mignon. I also had an 8 oz. lobster tail. For our sides we had lobster macaroni and cheese and au gratin potatoes. The steak was perfect! Lobster tail was too but there were some tough pieces from the underside of it that just wasn’t edible. Of course we had some left overs and all was packed up for us including remainder of sparkling water. I had a wonderful dinner with my husband and we were seated in a back end corner that gave more of a private feel.

We booked here for Thanksgiving dinner since we were going on vacation the next day and didn’t want to be bothered with any cooking. We basically ignored their regular menu and went straight for the prix-fixed Thanksgiving menu, with soup or salad, mains, and dessert. The service was great and attentive. We arrived on a very rainy day, so valet was swift to take our car, and the hostess seated us immediately. The food itself was ‘ok’ — the main thanksgiving dishes were nothing amazing, white meat turkey, some sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes and the stuffing which i generally don’t like, so i didnt care for. The dessert was delish. Pumpkin cheesecake or pecan pie. i tasted both and they were divine. Oddly enough, we are going again for a New Year’s eve dinner(an early one), and I plan on ordering off the original menu so i can taste some of their claim to fames.

Been many times but this visit was subpar. Herded upstairs to a deserted banquet room for a 6:00 pm dinner reservation. Two other parties right next to us even though the entire room was empty. I think they had the rookies running the room. Food came out sporadically at all three tables. Ours was cold — appetizer and main course. A forth couple showed up at a table and eventually left without eating. Won’t be back.

This place was amazing! The layout of the entire restaurant was great and the lighting was perfect! I had a table for 1 and Norm was just awesome. I ordered right off the bat and got the Long Bone medium rare with extra char, the chef was on it because I haven’t had it served that perfectly in ever! Mashed potatoes and asparagus were on the money too. The only thing I was disappointed with was the Scotch selection, it wasn’t what I’d thought it would be but decent. Do yourself a favor and head on over, this place will curl your toes… trust me

Great steaks, beautiful facility – superb service. So why only three stars? Mostly the supercilious manager. I ordered the fresh crab claws, Alaskan crab, shrimp and oysters platter. I found the Alaskan crab tasteless and the oysters bordering on old age. I pointed this out to the server, and promptly the manager came out and pretty much cross examined me about my comments. Finally I told him that compared to Boulevardier, his platter was found wanting – (I was being polite!) He brazenly informed me that it was a different business.(???) A restaurant manager of such an idiotic level should be working at a Taco Bell, and that would be a stretch. Interesting how one jerk can truly ruin an evening. So, will we ever go back there? Not while that imbecile is working there!

My wife and I were in the KFC drive through and didn’t realize we lived right around the corner from here. We ate there the next night. Of course this is better than KFC. Really they should be in the same conversation but I digress. It was packed when we got there but lucky we made a reservation. Had just enough time to go to the bar for a cocktail. You really can’t go wrong with any of the steaks, as far as sides go, just make sure you get the lobster mac and cheese.

Many moons ago when I was a wee lad in Dallas, I asked a distinguished gentleman where’s the best steak in this area. In his TExan accent. he said, «Deeel Frisco’s.» As an avid steak eater, back then one could only dream of eating there… hence, I started saving. 10 years later, with blood and sweat sacrificed, and enough coin, to me delight, was invited to a Go Dutch Birthday dinner on restaurant week… to none other than this glorified place… Sadly, twas’ disappointing a bit with the overly salty upgraded 16 oz., as were the rest of the group… perhaps ze chef had a blocked nose that night… as everyone had the same issue. The drinks were slow to be poured, hence intoxication never came, and the bill took about an hour… forcing the entire fab company to head to a Karaōke as opposed to a fab club to party away. The rest of the details… are in Dawn Sun’s review below… and yes she too was there… and a fine dining connoisseur she is. Del Frisco… ten years of saved coin from blood and sweat… wasted…(tear drop). The End.

RESERVATIONS– My party of 3 arrived around 8:50 for our 9 pm reservations. We were told that our reservations would be ready in 10 minutes and then encouraged to get a drink at the bar. Our reservation time came and went and we were not seated until around 9:20 pm. SERVICE– So this is where they really lost me. Our server’s attention to detail and attitude were extremely poor. Our beverage glasses were empty about 75% of our dining time. Our server only refilled my dad’s(four dollar!) ice tea once. After that, it was just empty. We went through our first roll of bread and I asked for another to eat with the soup I’d ordered as an appetizer. I finished my soup and the bread had still not arrived. When I asked her AGAIN for bread she said«it will come out with your entrees.» Say what?! I asked for bread 20 minutes ago and the entrees took all of 45 minutes to come out. I am hungry, I asked for bread. Why delay bringing it out? Also, we ordered a cocktail and were brought the incorrect drink. FOOD– my table ordered 2 steaks medium-well. One came out cooked properly, the other was pretty clearly medium-rare. It had to be sent back and we all had to wait to eat while the steak was re-cooked. My salmon was cooked nicely, but had little flavor. Same goes for the asparagus. Mushrooms were the best part of the meal. The worst part? We ordered desert to go and when we got home realized that they had given us the wrong deserts. AMBIANCE– They had some pretty great live music. The singer was pretty much the only thing that kept me from walking out before ever getting seated. He was great and plays well to his audience and was the highlight of my visit. Overall, I was super unimpressed. For the price of dining here, I expected a lot more. If you’re searching for a place in this price range, I suggest Capital Grille or Eddie V’s.

This weekend was my second visit to this restaurant, the first time was a few years back and I still remember not having a great experience, this second time confirmed my decision that I’ll never be back. It was my friends birthday so we requested the party room for our party of 18, I understand it’s a big party but the service was incredibly slow, 10 minutes past reservation time at 7:30 our whole party was here, they started us off with drink orders, then appetizers, each time we had to inform them that we’re ready to order or we probably would just never have eaten that night. Although we were all ready to order by 8:30−9, we ended up getting our food at 10:15, during this process a good amount of our orders were served to the wrong person, needless to say by the time we could get out of the restaurant(a few didn’t get their checks and had to stand around the door waiting for some time while a few others had gotten to pay and left already) it was close to midnight, anyways, Service 1⁄5: like I’d mentioned, slow and not even friendly or accommodating, maybe neither of the waitresses wanted to work the party room, and it showed. Many of us if not all had to re-order our drinks because they would have forgotten, if it weren’t a social setting it would’ve just been a waiting setting, we wait and hope for the best. For 4.5 hours most of it was just the waiting game. I joked that it was just a way for us to spend more money on drinks, keeping us there and all. Food 2⁄5: Same as I had remembered from my first visit, everything seemed overly salty, the calamari, the lobster bisque(two of us shared the soup and couldn’t finish), the steak, and my shrimp pasta was drenched in olive oil, and salt. I think between 18 of us we had covered pretty much everything they had to offer on the menu, and not many people were happy with their meals. The only thing I thought was pleasantly edible was the king crab. By the time we were all done, we asked for the checks, and that was a big mess too, many people’s checks were miscalculated, some didn’t get theirs till most the parties had left, close to midnight, unbelievable! –They earned a 2 star for the service environment that was outside of our party room–

Good service and wait staff! 16 oz strip medium was great! Had to take it home b/c it was enough for 2! Amazing del’s salad with bacon, avocado, green dressing, fresh spring mix. I was full after that salad, I could even eat half my steak! Buttery mashed potatoes and yummy asparagus! Strawberry cheesecake was yummy! I would come back for the del’s salad alone! :)

I was invited to a business dinner at Del Frisco’s and was very pleased by the experience. The experience was similar to many other high end steakhouses(Gibsons, Mortons, Smith & Wolensky) but the execution at Del Frisco’s was top notch. To me, this is not a couples restaurant — definitely a place for a business dinner. Not youthful and hip, but very traditional and clubby. The food selection, and pricing, is on par with what you’d expect from a quality steakhouse. A variety of steaks from 6oz to 18oz, a couple of fish selections and side dishes. I tried the lamb chops were we perfectly done, served hot and very flavorful. We enjoyed a seafood platter for an appetizer which was also good. Bread on the table was delicious. My salad specially of tomato and mozzarella was only item that I thought could be better — in part because there was too much dressing which drowned out the other flavors. Service was well timed and professional. Unfortunately two of our guests were served about 5 minutes after the rest. It was the other end of the table so I don’t know why. Did not have room for dessert. Dark, leather-and-wood atmosphere with some lounge music. The only thing that I found odd was the $ 4 charge for parking at a suburban location.

For the price I’ve paid, I expected a little better. Compared to all the other steakhouses I’ve been to in Dallas, I think Del Frisco’s service was a slow. However, our server was very funny and sweet, I guess it made up for the lack of speed. We got the fresh oysters which was good, but $ 18 for half dozen? We’ve definitely had better, so it’s not really worth it. Get oysters somewhere else! For the main course, two of us shared the 32 oz Wagyu Longbone Steak. It was delicious, but we ordered it medium rare and they brought it out rare instead. They asked us to cut the steak in the beginning to make sure the cook was right as they always should. However, we didn’t realize the cook was rare until we were in the middle of eating the steak so I felt bad to ask them to switch it. But good thing we both didn’t really mind eating our steak rare. For the side dish, we got Maque Choux Corn and Potatoes Au Gratin. They were both good but it was a little too cheesy, creamy & heavy. Honestly speaking, even though our overall experience was pleasant, it wasn’t excellent. Maybe my expectation for Del Frisco’s was too high. I would rather go to Nick & Sams, Perry’s or Capital Grille.

My girlfriend and I hopped in here. WTH happened to this place? Staff and Patrons beyond rude. PEOPLE. Dudes all around the bar… it was like old boys networking from 1988 and if you had long hair and heels you must be the entertainment. No jerk we combined could buy your company and inventory and sell it back to you like an Eskimo with ice blocks. Let me school you on manners, son. Keep your binder, you will need that trapper keeper and pretentiousness while the gold digger looks for you in your leased Mercedes suv and your clear coated debit ccard. Back up. And that they did. So we could not even order drinks. Then the bartenders ignored us for 20 min. While we waited to order, Napoleon showed up in his gramanimals suit he picked up on clearance at the gap kids outlet and ordered in front of us. Uh. That just happened. And the bartender allowed it. Hey jerk I avoid plastic cup, bottle service joints bc of this. Then they stood in front of us, giving zero head way for a solid 15 min. Yeah dudes, not men. DRINKS. Then then then we got to order drinks. Yes, the dude did not know the difference btwn Belle Glos or Hess Select and confused the two and one he does not even sell. He brought it up. So, Woodford Reserve on a rock. «LIKEICEINIT? » Um, yeah. FOOD. They had a happy hour we did not know about. Several ppl reached over us for cocktail napkins and straws. Seriously. Seriously? Yep that happened. All of them work here. And then Napoleon was back and my girl handed him a stack and asked if he worked there lol. So we ordered our steaks rare plus. Bar dude«does that mean you want them cold?» OMFG. Seriously? Seriously. THESTEAKS came out awesome. I could get better tuna out of a dumster in mid July. The service, patrons, parking were out of the twilite zone. Perspective. Do not have to pay taxes on car wreck settlement and had a hot date after.

I’ve been here twice now and am impressed and satisfied with both experiences. Let me just tell you now: get the lemon cake dessert. You do not have to be a huge lemon lover to fall in love with this one. You’re welcome. The service has been good, including the wine advice from the sommelier. Sides are family style and are good for 4 people easily. I always wish they offered half portions. Ambiance is older feeling. Well kept but not modern. It’s nice for a special occasion and good for a group as well. I’ve always been treated well when dining here and would gladly return.

Great food. Great service. Matt and Zach were great catering to special requests for my allergy even with the restaurant week menu. The steak i orderedwas actually cooked to the temperature I requested. Love the family style sides since it was a group of is we were able to try various sides. Salads were great — I had the Greek, those who had the wedge said it was good too. Oh and the bread was fresh and soft! Just an overall good experience. No disappointment here. Definitely a place to go back to.
