The service from staff this morning were great and the fruit & yogurt parfait is GREAT! Will be returning for more

Healthy, light lunch for under $ 25 what’s not to love? Now there isn’t anything superbly special about Corner Bakery. It’s a cute little deli, offers soups, salads, sandwiches and bakery items. However I have been to many locations over the years and what I do love about it is that it is consistent. The employees who take your order are always pleasant and at least act like they are really enjoying their job, which I appreciate! Never have I been disappointed about my food or my order being incorrect. 9 out of 10 times my boyfriend asks me to go to lunch he always wants to go here. And he orders the same thing every time: Chicken Pomodoro Panini with Tomato Basil Soup. He loves it. He probably eats it at least once a month. I also love that they offer soup, salad, half sandwich combos. All kinds of combos. So many combos, the combinations are endless! Myself? I like the flatbreads: Southwest Chicken Flatbread BBQ Pork Grilled Flatbread All of the salads are good and I love the salad Trio option. Choose 3 types of specialty salads for $ 8+.

It’s funny how your experience can vary from store to store in the same chain. Although today, I’d say let’s replace«funny» with«tragic,» as in Tragic Fail for Corner Bakery. They were running some sort of promotion where you get a bright yellow coffee mug and a free cup of coffee. There was also a card for 25 cent refills for a year — clearly designed to get you to spend money, which is smart, but who the heck wants to carry around a ceramic mug in their car, especially one that is a huge globe-shaped thing that wouldn’t even fit in an Kenworth’s cup holder? So there we are, me and my three kids standing in line with Happy Face mugs. When we get to the unmotivated and untrained cashier, I asked if the kids could get hot cocoa instead of coffee, as they don’t drink coffee. The answer(after a pow wow with the manager): «No, cocoa is too expensive compared to coffee.» Of course, I’m thinking: «you’re giving away coffee mugs that must cost a buck a piece, but too cheap to throw in the ten cents worth of cocoa?» Way to build customer loyalty… for Panera and La Madeleine, that is! Now that alone wouldn’t be enough for a one star rating. That took real effort on the staff’s part. First, they had to burn my son’s bagel, leaving him in tears.(Not really, the tears were mine when I realized that the $ 1.09 bagel came with a $ 1.50 surcharge for a tiny cup of cream cheese.) Then they had to make us wait over twenty minutes for the other three meals to come out — two of them ice cold. Looks like the pancakes were the hold-up, as those were hot, although drenched in so much butter as to be almost unrecognizable. [Note to crew: if you’re not going to deliver the food the same day it’s ordered, put the butter on the side, not the top.] My flatbread was the worst of the four offenders, as in addition to being as frigid as Carly Fiorina, it was tiny.(I guess that was in order to keep the calorie count and cost down — see aforementioned cocoa miser tale.) Perhaps this is part of the plan, as no one will complain that the portion is too small if the food is inedible, right? Anyway, needless to say, there are tons better options out there, especially given that what should have been a positive — my free cup of coffee(which I was required to pour into a dirty yellow smily face mug) — was bitter, albeit piping hot. Now that I think about it, that mug wasn’t smiling at me, it was smirking at all of us. :)

This is a decent breakfast spot jn North Dallas. The counter ordering setup can both good and bad, but it meets the need when you want to meet someone over a cup of coffee. Their flatbread breakfast sandwich was solid.

I love Corner Bakery. They never fail me! Had lunch here today and it was good as normal. The cashier could have been more pleasant but whatever. I ordered the chicken pomadori(sp) w tomato basil soup. Delish!

Big fan of Corner Bakery. They can do no wrong :) On this visit I tried their BBQ pork flat(added jalapeños), chicken lemon orzo, carrots & hibiscus lemonade. The BBQ pork flat was REALLY good! Very flavorful and delicious. Will definitely get it again! It looks small but is filling. The chicken lemon orzo soup was alright. Wasn’t bad but probably won’t order it again. I’ll stick to my usual cheddar broccoli soup. Not sure why they gave me carrots too lol but they were sweet and crunchy. The hibiscus lemonade was alright.

I had a free southwest sandwich and it was absolutely. I will try their breakfast one of these days. The young lady i found at the counter was extremely helpful and courteous. Will definitely be back again.

Love the staff here– they are very friendly if you get them talking(ask someone how their day is going!) also– I really enjoyed the quality of the chicken at this location — everything tasted fresh. Chocolate cake was amazing too(have them heat it up a bit)

They are really good at catering. Ive used them for brunch and lunch. Timely delivery and good food. The cesar salad without chicken is hard to find on the catering menu, but fabulous. The egg scramble comes on a warmer tray. Order less than you think you need. Portions are large. I hate to dine in due to the noise and cramped quarters. Take out good.

Great service. I enjoyed the free pancakes that I reserved online. I purchased a side of bacon and a caramel salted latte… I decided to take my food home. The pancakes were still warm.

I’d avoided Corner Bakery for a few years after being disappointed by their quality. However, they’ve definitely stepped it up a notch. It’s by no means comparable to fresh farm-to-table food, but the quality is noticeably improved and the coffee is surprisingly more robust than expected. This location in particular has friendly staff. A bit better wifi would make for a 5 star review.

My wife and I are new to the area, along with my staff and coworkers transferred to Texas. So we had the gang over and ordered quite a bit of food to try from this restaurant chains location. We picked up 3 stuffed shopping bags filled with practically the whole menu to try out. As a whole major let down and pissed we spent so much money on crappy, stale food. First tried the soups, orzo/lemon was a flavorless broth that when cooled had a .25 inch layer of fat on top. The broccoli cheddar was very thick and dark yellow with mushy broccoli tasted of pure sodium. Salads not getting better, chopped had brown lettuce, wanted cheese on side was mixed in, Caesar consisted of the stalk of the lettuce if there were leaf they tinged brown on edges the croutons were very stale. The trio was ok, avocado salad was refreshing and yummy along with the quinoa the other one not so good. Sandwiches BBLT was pretty good after my wife cooked the bacon a little more(was half cooked fat was still white) and the meatball panini was the highlight here, the beef goat cheese was missing the key ingredient of goat cheese, once we put goat cheese we had in fridge it tasted pretty good. The pastas were hit or miss. Mac n cheese w bacon tomatoes can’t go wrong. Spaghetti was so so. Both pastas were mushy over cooked but it’s not easy to get pasta al dente when it’s a take out situation. Since this is a bakery we loaded up on the sweets(sadly). The lemon bar was stale and shriveled. Whoopie pie one was burnt the other just two discs and a shmear of frosting Blueberry baby bunt was missing from the order and the brownie was good once it was defrosted. The pieces of bread that came with the salads were too hard to eat but the garlic bread was pretty good. The other foods in our order were not memorable to write about good or bad just ok. I called the store to speak to a manger and was put on hold for quite a while, hung up called back and was told manager had left for the day left my info and have yet to hear back(it’s been a couple weeks) All in all we spent well over $ 100 to try this place for a bunch of newcomers looking for that good place to gather and enjoy a good meal and that was not achieved here back to tried and true Panera. Any other suggestions?

Maybe it is just this store, but stay away from the baked products! I stopped by mid-afternoon and bought a lemon bar and glass of tea. The lemon bar was mostly uncooked, the crust was so pale it was almost white. It tasted most heavily of plastic, like the spray on nonstick cooking spray. The filling was not tangy at all. This is nothing like any lemon bar I’ve ever had. Even though I planned to eat it in the store, NOONE provided me with a fork or spoon… and there were none on the beverage bar… AND not one employee would pay attention to the customers as they wandered around blankly trying to look busy.

Love the Anaheim Scrambler because it is always hot and the eggs are well prepared and not over cooked. If they would just toast the bread for the«toast» it would be perfect. The bread is just warm and never toasty.

If I was rating the food only, 1 star. I ordered the 3 pancakes with eggs, which evidently came with bacon(not listed on the menu or I would have asked for sausage). Oh wait… you only have chicken sausage, not in links or patties? Uhm… OK… Their menu is slightly strange to me, which I guess is refreshing to some people. I just like my breakfast simple. Those pancakes I had? WORSTEVER. They were disgusting. I couldn’t eat them. I think they are frozen then reheated, because they are thin, thin, thin, tasted like they had freezer-burn, and the texture was way off. I think I’d enjoy the place if all I wanted was a cup of coffee and someplace to sit for a bit. As for eating? Nah. I give it 2 stars simply because the staff is friendly and seems to be the same people consistently(according to my husband), meaning they must be a decent place to work for. I will not be returning to this or any Corner Bakery. It’s just not my style, and I prefer my breakfast to be freshly-made(like at Panera), not reheated frozen food. I know they don’t make their bread products or anything there, either, because the place doesn’t smell like anything — it should smell like fresh baked pastries/bread!

I really like this place, especially the staff. They are very kind and are always attentive. I always end up getting the Chicken Pomodori which for me tastes like pizza. Another dish I get is the tomato soup which is really delicious! I also recommend the desserts and treats they have here.

Corner Bakery Café is quick, tasty and a good deal for your money! Order at the counter before picking your table if dining in or carry out(you can order ahead as well). The breakfast items taste fresh and are large in portion. I enjoy their thin paninis and their various oatmeal options. The berries they use are always bright in color and fresh. I also enjoy their chai tea, it is smooth and flavorful. Overall this is a great place for breakfast.

This was an awesome bakery/café. The staff was super friendly, the café was cozy and clean and the sandwiches are awesome. I had a soup and salad and it was great — although I am a sucker for good broccoli and cheddar soup and a turkey club. The place was clean, the staff was prompt and friendly(but genuinely friendly, not«paste on smile» friendly). It’s a refreshing place to walk into. I like feeling like a place is clean if I’m going to eat there. The manager even came outside to check on me during my meal out on the patio. Overall a pretty good place. I’d recommend it if you’re a sucker for a good soup and salad combo.

Yum to the E ! Every visit is pleasant. Every plate is delicious. And every dessert is tempting. On this evening visit, there was no line. The cashier was eager to offer a substitution so that I could have Cavatappi Carbonara instead of Pesto Cavatappi.(Yeah!) I also ordered a whole Pumpkin Pound Cake to go. The pasta dish was creamy and hot. The pound cake was moist and flavorful. Definitely high on my list for a return visit.

This has become my breakfast location. I really dig the Anaheim scrambler,(also available in panini form) The avocados make it for me. There are a few chunks within the egg and bacon mixture and then a fresh slice on top. Accompanying breakfast potatoes are tasty or you can opt out for some fruit. The fruit consisted of some cantaloupe, grapes and strawberries. The scramble also comes with 2 slices of toast that I believe are prebuttered, but they have more at the condiment/utensil/drink area. The staff always seems cheery and it wasn’t too long of a wait. I’ve also tried the oatmeal which I quite enjoyed. The nuts in it gave it a great texture, and was a great way to start my morning in my cube.(sad i know) I’m going to say I think I like CB more for breakfast than lunch.
