Ordered the salad sampler plate. Chicken salad, spinach salad and strawberry pretzel salad. I was disappointed in the chicken salad. And i’ve talked to several of the ladies from my SS class and they feel the same way. If you are not a fan of curry then DONOT order it. On the other hand the spinach salad is really good. It has a wonderful vinaigrette dressing. The strawberry pretzel salad is so good it good be eaten as a dessert. The ambience is delightful.

Just came back from lunch at Chocolate Angel. It was the girliest restaurant I have ever been to but I didn’t mind it at all, but my co-worker who went with me felt a lil uncomfortable as a guy… LOL. But we decided to just stay as we are running out of our lunch hour. I don’t know if today was the exception but service was really slow. They were only like 6 – 8 ppl in front of us but we were standing in the line for at least 15 – 20 mins to just order the food. I got«Some like it hot» sandwich from the menu which is a spicy version of pimento cheese sandwich. It was really good. It came with a house salad and pasta salad and a small cookie and a side of strawberry jelly. It was a lot of food and everything tasted very fresh. My coworker got a «California BLT» sandwich. He wasn’t very impressed with it. But then again he was feeling uncomfortable as it is. The other benefit of dining here is they also have a variety of sweet treats but not nearly enough chocolate treats as I would have expected being the name of the place Chocolate Angel.

Definitely a girly place. I went here for lunch today and there was not a man in sight, but it was exactly the place I was looking for. I wanted a quiet little place that I could grab some lunch and have some quality time with my kindle. I ordered the grilled cheese — which was amazing(really) — and it came with pasta salad of the day(greek was today’s flavor and I was not a fan and a small version of the angel house salad(Organic baby spring greens w/granny smith apples and topped with«crunchies» and a balsamic vinaigrette). I didn’t expect to like the salad, but it was actually really good. I also ordered a cup of the chicken and green chile soup which was also excellent. I was surprised by the fact that they had 3 different iced teas to choose from — peach mango, cranberry hibiscus(*yum!) and regular. It was a little pricey, but not horribly so. They also have an entire case of delicious sweets if that interests you. On a prior visit I picked up an assortment of these and found that the macaroons were greatness so I grabbed a few more of those on my way out today.

Now serving Cane Rossa Vera pizza Napoletana on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights — soon to be all the time. Check out for all the details on this truly exceptional pizza — it will make you regret ever eating any other kind of pizza! I went with a group of 8 adults and probably even more kids. We ate like kings with great service and pizza that re-defines pizza.

Eh, it’s kinda like a cheap imitation of the lovely tea rooms that your grandmother talks about all the time. The menu’s on the wall, you order at the counter, the tables are just basic industrial stuff covered in «lace» cloths… that’s the«cheap imitation» part. The food also falls a bit short. The chicken salad that is described as having dried cranberries in it? It was a basic, blah chicken salad with dried cranberries sprinkled on top. Oh yay. I got the«Angel Duet,» which was a pick-two that I chose to consist of the half chicken salad sandwich and a cup of the tomato basil soup, which tastes like La Madeline’s. I was admiring the scones in the bakery display case as I ordered, and the woman behind the register told me that I’d get a mini one with my meal. Oh, yay! My meal came… no mini scone. Oh, lies! Oh, heartbreak! I guess I’m not the typical girly girl, but I would disagree with Jessica’s assertion that they give you«a lot of food.» Uh… a half-sandwich and a teeny cup of soup, and I was eyeing my companion’s plates as they slowly finished. It’s definitely«girl-sized» portions. Overpriced for what you get. Oh, and those scones? I got to try a bite of one stolen from a friend’s meal, and uh… disappointing. No flavor. Meh.

This place is not really for the boys, it’s quite girly. But girly-men, your gay best friend, or men who like froo froo food will be fine here. I say this because the menu consists of soups, salads, quiches and baked goods. Very similar to McKinley’s in FW. Some notable things here: 1. Pimento Cheese sammich– omg. Soooo good! Perfectly cheesy and just the right amount of kick. Best part? They cut the crust off of the bread! 2. Grilled cheese– this is pretty epic and rivals the GC from the Porch. I lay in bed at night and dream of this grilled cheese… uh, er, I mean my my BF! 3. Strawberry Pretzel Salad– not sure why they call this a salad, bc it just has no salad like qualities… but it RULES! It looks like a jello mold, but it is a layer of crushed pretzels and graham crackers, topped with a layer of a whipped cream/cream cheese blend, and then finished with a layer of strawberry jello. So strange, but friggin good. Brownies/cakes/pies/cookies– lot of varieties all delish. They give you a lot of food here, so yes you will pay around $ 8 – 10 for lunch, but you will not be hungry when you leave. I got the trio and had enough left over for a whole other lunch. Tip: if you want your food to go: CALLAHEAD other wise you will wait for a long, long, time.
