I had one of the worst air brush tans in my life. It streaked & was very uneven & blotchy. It ran between my fingers & toes & I ended up having to scrub my body with lemon juice & a pumice. They gave me a free tan because of the experience so, one year later, I decided to use it. I ended up having to cancel — over 3 hours prior to the appointment — because I had to pick up a sick grandchild from school. Even though I had been a customer for several years & had purchased a lot of products, they said my tan session was forfeited because of late notice. Don’t recommend them for service or competitive prices!

Very disappointed. I called yesterday to make a facial appointment and the man gave me a detailed break down of the types of facials they offer. I chose the type and made 2 facial appointments at the same time for the next day. I show up with my friend and they have us down for 2 massages. The earliest they could fit us in was 6 hours later. We left facial-less and very disappointed.

I recently visited Cooper Spa with a gift certificate for a massage. This was my first time on the Cooper campus. It’s sprawling! This is a fitness, aerobic and nutrition mecca, so you may have expectations of the spa. The entrance has been remodeled and the facility now includes a Cedars Woodfire Grill restaurant which is nice. I entered the spa and filled out the paperwork. It seems to be small and disconnected from the rest of the facilities. I didn’t see any locker room or changing room. After a few minutes, my friendly therapist led me down a dark hallway to my treatment room. The lights in the room seemed bright, the music was somewhat loud, and it echoed off the tile floors. Since I was in street clothes, I just changed and piled my belongings on a small seat in the room. There was no counter space and I did not see a hanger, though there might have been one. The massage flew by quickly and though I had indicated that I preferred moderate pressure, I received a very deep pressure massage. I did tell my therapist that it was a big rough but the response was that I was«very tight» and it was the only way to loosen me up. I guess I had also expected that there might be some kind of education around the massage but it was a pretty quiet experience. The end of the massage seemed abrupt, as if a timer had gone off. My therapist thanked me and quickly left the room. I changed and was given a bottle of water as I walked out. No one mentioned a sauna, steam room or whirlpool, though they are mentioned on the spa website. I wasn’t offered a robe or slippers, or told about anything else at the Cooper Clinic. This felt more like a Massage Envy type place — a quick massage destination but not the kind of spa where you could relax and enjoy the amenities. While the service was friendly, I think I’d visit again to take a fitness class instead of a spa treatment.

I recently moved to DFW and have been looking for a new place to get my monthly facial. Cooper Spa was the fourth place I’ve tried, and I’ll keep looking. For context, I get monthly facials to maintain my skin. If you get facials as an annual treat and are just looking for a relaxing day spa experience, then the Cooper Spa is just fine. It’s a lovely place with a clean and comfortable atmosphere. Every spa has you fill out an intake sheet upon arrival where you list any medications, allergies, etc. and Cooper Spa is no exception. I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to a host of products which I list on the sheet. It’s always a red flag when the esthetician dives right into the facial without discussing the info on the sheet. At Cooper Spa, she started and said«So, no allergies?» and I replied«I have many allergies and had a bad reaction during my last facial» to which she responded, «Oh, I guess I should get your sheet.» She left the room and returned with the sheet, but still asked no questions and made no mention of how she would mitigate my allergy risks. So I started naming all of the products I’ve had bad experiences with since she wasn’t going to read my list, which received no response or acknowledgment from her. The facial itself was pretty basic: cleansing, extractions, mask, and done. I usually leave a facial with a heavier than usual coating on my skin, but this time I had to put on moisturizer when I got home because I guess they don’t include that. Certainly nothing to write home about, and my skin looked the same after I left. I feel like the best estheticians are the ones who actually look at your skin and can make assessments based on what they see(i.e. hydrated vs. dehydrated, congestion areas, etc.). This one made no comments, just went through the routine. The foot massage was fine, but I would have preferred to skip it and actually get a comprehensive facial instead. I’m willing to pay for a good facial, but this is pricey and also not very good.

Highly recommended. Great staff, quiet environment(they played Norah Jones for instance), and everything is non-toxic and safe. The prices are higher, yes, $ 45 for a pedicure seems like a lot, but it is worth it when your health is taken into consideration. The work is fast, they’re eco-friendly and I would HIGHLYRECOMMEND coming here.

I had the best facial here! My skin looked a little rough after my facial from the extractions but by a few days my skin looked flawless for my trip to Hawaii!

I always thought the Cooper Aerobics Center looked a bit like a compound and was a little intimidating, but I decided to go there for Spa Week and check it out. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the staff and the service. I have now been on two different occasions and everyone has been so friendly and the massages and facials are fantastic! This was a great overall spa experience and I will definitely return.
