First time here on a Friday night, and I cannot wait to come back on a quieter childless evening. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike children even though I have none myself(my choice, of course). It’s just that Friday night’s are for adult’s to unwind and relax from a stressful work week without screaming crying babies. Just my opinion. Bless their hearts. I actually love the open air concept of Cibo with it’s multi dimensional bar space, one half outside, the other inside. A few heaters during the cooler months would really keep guests buying more. There are great pizza and pasta entrée’s. My pizza was perfectly crafted. Crust doughy, crisp, not to thick and not to thin, but just right, especially on flavors and portions. I didn’t see any appetizers or salads. Kinda was hoping for a lighter snack. Wish they had an authentic pepper mill and glass cruet of olive oil, for guest’s to use, but that is my wish list. Maybe even a side of freshly grated parmesan and red chili flakes, oh yeah! Wine’s were very well priced along with generous pours. I saw two selections at $ 6 on up. And there were several beers on tap. No liquor here. But that is okay. Not a big fan of the paper plate and plastic utensils. I understand it cuts down on labor costs, would rather pay a few bucks more here and there for the more traditional dinner set up. Overall, everyone is friendly, timely, and one never knows who will be there to talk about interesting things. I love my neighbors. Meet new one’s all the time in re-developed establishments. Bishop Arts District and Sylvan Thirty rock!

Very cool place to hang out over food and wine when you’re in the mood for something laid back. Two girlfriends and I came here on a Friday night to chill and catch up. We bought a bottle of wine from Cibo’s wine section and ordered two pizzas. One was the margherita with our choice of toppings and the other was a white pizza with figs, arugula, and habanero peppers. Both were served within minutes after we had placed the order, and both were delicious. Though I wasn’t sure I tasted the habanero. The pizza is neapolitan style, so if you like Cane Rosso(on a good day), you’ll like the pizza at Cibo. We noticed lots of families and children here on the Friday night we were there. From what I hear, weekends are when the east Dallas parents bring their kids out to Cibo. Weeknights apparently aren’t so family dominated. Even surrounded by kids, however, my single childless friends and I had a lovely time catching up in a laid back setting over wine and good pizza. :o)

CiboDivino is a totally fine wine bar /café /market, but nothing special. I stopped by a few times while staying in the neighborhood and liked their wine selection. The place was so sterile and empty, though, that the atmosphere resembled neither a café nor a wine bar. I despise crowds, but this place was so empty it was more like a zombie apocalypse than a place I would want to spend any extended period of time in. Their coffee is Lavazza, so that’s also nothing worth going out of your way for. CiboDivino might be better in a few months when it gets more customers, but until then, there are better places in the neighborhood for your wine and coffee.

Great place to eat lunch. Was down in the area visiting a client. Went in for a sandwich, but wound up ordering the pizza, and a glass bottle of cherryvine soda. Also added a side of artichoke hearts from the deli. Staff was great, atmosphere was relaxed. Looked like a cool place to stop in anytime. Food was too quality.

We loved this place! Had a family dinner here with our 30’s age younger generation, and it was a perfect atmosphere. The pizzas were delicious, along with mozzarella and roasted peppers from the deli. A fantastic wine selection! We loved the bottles of Chianti for our group. Looking forward to returning here on our next visit to Dallas.

Cool spot and location. Pizza is good and the rest of the food looked decent. You like the fact that its part restaurant part wine market. It reminds me of going to a restaurant in Europe. Easy parking. No diaper changer in the bath.

Think of it as a modern Jimmys food store. Design is modern Italian and does well to blend and flow everything together; from the bar to the wood oven pizza oven, butcher shop and their espresso bar. Good selection of wines to choose from. They allow you to buy a bottle and open it there to drink, order one of their pizza and you have a good date night on your hands without thinking about it. Good area with a lot of development around it, so this place has a lot potential to it.

Ambiance in abundance here. If the weather is lovely, Cibo needs to be on your short list for outdoor dining. Service a bit slow but friendly and knowledgeable. Farm to table is the driver behind this hard to pick wrong menu.

Parking lot mall views of new construction are arguably more pleasant, if sterile, than the grimy stretch of Sylvan Avenue. This once seedy area of oak cliff is now yuppy fabulous, where once the new Sonic drive thru hamburger chain was the big deal. The cacophony of mixing working class and it’s sincere culture with upwardly mobile middle class and it’s more insincere one is enough alone to give me a headache. Sylvan 30 shopping center doesn’t even have a sign that says sylvan 30 but instead a psychedelic light pastel large print mosaic with a lion figure and the words«with Grace.» sideways. The mall also has a remanant of an old flophouse motel«Alamo House courtyard«that shared history with the land. The mall houses a few places run by noted local chefs, including Ten Ramen, and this Italian eatery. I knew the Sicilian owner Daniele from his former restaurant and that he knew how to make real Italian food and wasn’t afraid to. Cibo divino’s new suburban burgundy brick building with green landscaping, tiered walkways had a modern library or medical clinic of a wealthy neighborhood was void of any old world charm. The surrounding large patio is Cibo divino’s open air bar that was full of smiling casual wine drinkers with their pizzas, in no hurry at all. The parking lot and newly constructed condo views aren’t quite cinque terre or Naples sea side sidewalk but the pizzas are the real Italian deal, wonderful crusts with char with simple ingredients. We had to order the arugula goat cheese fig and honey pizza that sang a delightful Italian aria. Essentially, Cibo’s is a wine market, brimming with hot Italian varietals in the $ 30-$ 50 range. There is also a deli with a meat counter, a cold case with turkey meatballs, pasta salads and arancini, prepackaged meals with proteins and vegetables, a cheese section and a dessert case. Drinking is key here with a comfortable family friendly languidness. While the offerings combine true Italian, the pizzas are maybe the best in Dallas, with other American sensitive palette pleasers like cupcakes mini cheesecakes and salads, Cibo’s offers a good place to chill for a few hours. Still, it makes you just want to fly to Italy.

Walked in and were totally lost. Not sure if we order from the counter where the pizzas are being made or can we order from the wine bar. Sat at the wine bar and it was as if we should’ve known how all of it worked. 6 wine choices on the list. Asked the bartender is this all u have he say by the glass yes. You’ll need to shop for a bottle. I asked is there not a list of the wines you have in stock… no. We didn’t wish to shop, we simply wanted a nice bottle of wine and a pizza. It was a huge challenge just to get that far with the bartender… back to Nova I go!

Those familiar with Dean & Deluca in NYC will get the owners’ inspiration. CiboDivino is not a restaurant per se, although you can order a brick-oven pizza, buy a bottle of wine, and throw a blanket out on the green or dine at one of the tables. The ready-to-eat items in the cases are divine and the new non-GMO meats from 44 Farms are a great headstart to any home entertaining. And then there is the lovely selection of wines to take or uncork on site. If you are a by-the-glass wine connoisseur, pull up to the wine bar and make new like-minded friends. Downtown Dallas, Oak Cliff, and West Dallas residents and workers have already discovered CiboDivino. Sooner rather than later, others zipping by on I-30, Sylvan, or Fort Worth Avenue will also opt to drop in on this spot of civilization instead of suffering the commute.

A group of friends checked it out on a warm Saturday afternoon for some beer wine and snacks. Excellent service, some good local beers and we all had pizza of various ingredients. Very nice thin crust with just the right amount of char on the bottom of the dough. Next trip I’ll try some of the items in the deli cases. Owner was there and he is friendly and helpful Try this place out and you will be coming back. CD is in the recently opened SylvanThirty development.

I like it when they listen. Much better desserts now. Also, got the best wines I’ve ever had there.

It’s like Eatzi’s without the lululemon-clad clientelle(and so much more)… A friend came in town and wanted to try a new place, so we went to Cibo Divino(which I’m assuming is Italian for«Holy Ciabatta Bread!»). We had the good fortune of having our other friends run late, which afforded us time to enjoy the bar. The bar is one of those where you are sitting outside while your ‘tender is inside, but this one is so much more open than others I’ve seen and even wraps around the corner of the building as if air conditioning bills are something only peasants worry about. The rest of the outside has some open seating tables under an awning with a grassy knoll behind, perfect for little tykes to run around, in a nice newly gentrified West Dallas neighborhood. The beer menu not only had several local breweries but also multiple offerings from each, and the wine options were extensive. Next time I come back I think I’ll pour over the pourables in the grocery store section a little more extensively. As far as the food goes, I really enjoyed the pizza. I went with vegetarian friends, so I was a little anxious we’d go the route of «Can we get the meat-lovers but hold the meat?» and end up with just cheese pizza. But a majority of the pizzas on menu were actually vegetarian-friendly, with many different vegetable(and mushroom) toppings. You also have the option of creating your own, though, so don’t cross it off your list just yet, you prosciutto fiends. And the crust… Mmmm… Light and floury with the kiss of the oven browning it into the perfect amount of crispiness. When I came it was just one of those«perfect nights»(I even watched two 9-year olds have a meet cute over their respective pokemon card collections), I would love to come back to see if my positive reflection holds.

I liked it. I liked the concept too. But it’s not perfect — not yet, at least. This is supposed to be an Italian market and it should reek Italian, and not of some peanut-butter cupcakes or whatever cupcakes they had there. Italians don’t do cupcakes — they do cassatinas, bombolini, sfogliatelle, graffa — those kind of things… not cupcakes! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just check out other Italian dessert shops around the country(i.e. Miami: ). With the coffee, pizza, and gelato(coming soon) being served here, the sweets would truly make this into an Italian powerhouse that Dallas has never seen before. Let’s hope the owner sees this and makes it happen! :) As for the pizza — it’s good. The toppings are truly high-grade toppings. I had the Tartufo which had truffle oil, pecans, mushrooms and in tomato base and plain mozzarella(next time I’m going to ask if they can sub the cheese for fresh mozzarella bufala which I think would make it taste even better). Overall, the pizza was a bit too charred on one side, and the dough may need a small tiny little adjustment, but it’s very far above average. For that, I’m truly grateful for coming across a good pizza place in this pizza-poor city. This place is a welcome addition and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for the continued metamorphosis of this establishment — hopefully to see it become even better!

What a terrific space to spend a happy few hours grazing & drinking. Enjoyed browsing the wine aisles & ogling the myriad prepared & to-order foods on offer. Nifty local beer list(just got TX Ale Project, yay!) and you can drink outside on their nice sized patio or opt for the sunny but air-conditioned bar area. Love all the windows & the inviting layout of the space. The items we had from the pastry case were a little too chilled for us & on the average side but we enjoyed our 1st visit & will certainly return for food in the near future.

Very good. Not sure where Don W. went but he didn’t get the essence of the place. Great pizza, great selection of Italian grocery, great to go food and just a very great concept. So glad we have this place in our neighborhood! This is Oakcliff folks — we don’t want to be another Uptown. Both neighborhoods are unique in their own right. 7÷5÷15 — Went back tonight and pizza not as great. Dough not cooked enough and toppings sparse. I hope this will not be an up and down situation around consistency.

Come for the pizza, stay for the atmosphere. CiboDivino, just now officially open, has already won a spot in my heart as a perfect destination for a casual, relaxing destination. The wood fired pizza is absolutely wonderful, with crust that’s soft and chewy but has enough texture to hold the toppings. The bar is perfectly situated for indoor or outdoor seating for sipping a Chicanti Classico or a local craft beer. Let them work out kinks the first few weeks before judging on service as it might be sporadic and crazy. Bring the kiddos too, with a large green space in front they have plenty of room to run around while you relax with food and drink. Salute!

Cibo Divino is brought to us by Chef Daniele Puleo who hails from Sicily, and has made DFW his home for his professional culinary life starting with Daniele Osteria and through the years working on different projects, all culminating to this. A gem which is sure to stay for a long time to come. «I love to work!» He tells me in Italian as he treats me to a perfectly brewed espresso whilst he mans the coffee area, and we chat about his goals for this place, what is soon to be a Dallas establishment. He still needs to train the staff on how to properly make coffee in a way worthy of an Italian business, the pizzaiolo on the other hand is nearly perfectly trained, as I gathered from his craft on a fig pizza which came with Gorgonzola, arugola, honey, and a hint of habanero which I certainly felt but would be quite mild to most. The crust could have done with a bit more charring, but was almost perfect, just a bit more practice and the pizzaiolo will have it down. They also carry San Giuliano non filtered Olive Oil a product of my native island which is a superior quality olive oil and I recommend to anyone. Salume, and cheeses are available and they expect to grow the cheese selection in future. More products are on the way but for now this place is already on the right track. The head chef Ryan Olmos, although not Italian is quite knowledgeable of the Italian craft and it certainly comes through in the food preparation. His passion for Italian food was apparent as we conversed about all things food related, and I gave him a small and humorous Italian lesson. «There is no menu», he tells me «we make what is fresh and what is on hand». One more sign of Italian authenticity! Being a workaholic certainly is working well for Daniele and the crew at Cibo Divino and I am very excited to see what else is to come at this sure to be foodie mecca of Dallas.

One stop shop for all things Italian! There’s a café, bakery, pizzeria, pre-made/prepared foods, deli and cheese, wine, outdoor wine bar, and a section for snacks and groceries such as olives, dried pasta, and dried fruit. There’s even a section where fresh flowers are sold. Place just opened today, we stopped by after our lunch at Ten to check it out. Didn’t buy anything except for a delicious espresso, served Italian style(whatever that means).
