Cheesesteak House

I was in Cheesesteak House this week. These guys are awesome. This place has a great interior and kitchen! All the food was tasty and delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Thank you so much for the great evening that we have spent here. We often come here for a year and really like this place! I give them five stars!

My friends and I had been craving a cheesesteak and had heard good things about this place. It was amazing and one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had.
I got the cheesy cheesesteak. The roll was soft but held nicely, and the meat and cheese melted in your mouth. The fries were delicious as were the homemade sauces they provide.
If you’re looking for something that is authentic and not texadelphia, come here for an amazing steak.

Great food, great staff, and prices. The only downside is parking can be challenging at their peak hours!

So, I felt like I should come back and do another review. Now, I still think the cheesesteaks are mediocre, but I have tried a few other things on the menu since my first visit. The burgers are awesome! They have half priced (pretty decent) chicken sandwiches on Wednesdays. The hot and lemon pepper wings are GOOD. Its not THE place to go for cheesteaks imo, but I will say that I do enjoy their other menu items. 4 stars for Cheesesteak House!

Started Unilocaling because of a bad restaurant experience and now I love to tell my tell. Most places I eat at are wonderful and I wasn’t let down today. Great service great clean atmosphere. Best of all was my peppery cheese steak sandwich. Will recommend this eatery to everyone.

Hands down the best cheesesteak I’ve had in a while! They give you a generous amount of meat and I like that they have their own sauce to go with the cheesesteak. The only thing is that I don’t like the bread they use, maybe it was that day but it tastes stale and not fresh.
Be prepared to wait, it takes a while for them to bring it out and it does get extremely busy. We came around 20 mins before closing and the place was crazy packed! Definitely coming back here to try the other cheesesteaks they have!
Btw, their regular size subs are really big I could barely finish it!

Wow! This is why I love Unilocal.Would have never found this otherwise. Rinky dink little hole in wall place with super awesome food. Wife had the cheesy sandwich and I had an Alan burger. Both were outstanding! Soooooo good. Gonna have to eat here every time I near this place.

Omg! This little place is a hidden gem! Awesome food, fast service, lots of smiles and did I mention GREAT FOOD!!! Wow! wow!wow! I don’t believe I have ever had a cheesesteak as good as this!!! This place is a small place no bark all bite… I’ll be back tomorrow! I ordered the cheesy cheesesteak and my husband ordered the vans burger! Both are to die for!

Yummy peppered cheesesteak, my girls ordered wings lemon pepper and Buffalo, the combos are a reasonable price. Staff helpful and courteous.

I love these sandwiches. The meat is finely shaved which I actually like in terms of texture, and the cheese is phenomenal, too. Of course, a Philly without a good bun would not be a good Philly, so I can definitely say the bread here is the bomb. Plus, the owners make some really amazing sauces if you want to add extra punch or spice or mayo to the spread. I’ve tried a Philly with jalapenos, too, and that was a nice change.
Fries and onion rings were great. I also like this place for take-​out.

The Cheesy Cheesesteak is the sandwich to get here hands down. It is the best cheesesteak I’ve ever hand bar none. The meat is fully covered in a very tasty queso and then I pour some of their outstanding chipotle mayo on the cheesesteak and go to heaven. For me, the Chipotle Mayo isn’t really spicy but it tastes incredible.
I would just like to point out that food is ever evolving and authentic isn’t necessarily good. Given the number of innovations made in the past few decades, I’m guessing that if we went back in time 50 years and visited the popular restaurants at the time we would likely be delivering some dismal reviews. On that point, it should be noted that Pat’s in Philadelphia, the originator of the Philly Cheesesteak only has 3 stars on Unilocal («A-​Ok») and Pat’s main competition Geno’s only has 2.5 stars (between «A-​Ok» and «Meh»). The CheeseSteak House has 4.5 stars for a reason and it’s not the atmosphere. The food here is outstanding.
I’ve also had the hot wings with buffalo sauce and they were good as well. The buffalo sauce tastes identical to the hot sauce at Wing Stop. The wings are similar as well, but perhaps a bit bigger here. If you like Wing Stop’s hot wings then you will like these, but mostly as a side as the primary reason to come here is the Cheesy Cheesesteak.
The Queso fries were good as well (perhaps a tad expensive). The queso is outstanding and I was surprised to find the fries were well seasoned and tasty even without the queso.
On early visits to this location I ordered other sandwiches such as the regular Philly Cheesesteak and the Chicken Cheesesteak. These are all quality made sandwiches but they weren’t anything special to me and didn’t leave me wanting to come back for more. By comparison, the cheesy cheesesteak has got me wanting to come back for more each and every day because I’m hooked! The one item I still want to order is the Alan Burger (Burger topped with cheesesteak). i guess that day I’ll have to make 2 trips because i have to have my Cheesy Cheesesteak!!!

I’m not a cheesesteak connoisseur, but I know what good is, and Cheesesteak House is good! I got the cheesy cheesesteak. It comes with onions, Swiss and American cheese with queso poured on top. I added bell peppers. It may be too cheesy if you don’t like a lot of cheese but it was perfect for me. The queso oozed through the meat, all the way to the bread, ensuring cheesy goodness in every bite. The regular size was more than enough for me but they have a large if you’re extra hungry. The bun was soft and fresh and the amount of meat was just right.
The fries were meh. They were seasoned but nothing to write home about. I won’t be getting them again. We tried the chipotle mayo and it is good even though I preferred to eat it on my fries versus my cheesesteak. Maybe because it clashes with the flavor of the queso. I’ll try it on a regular sandwich next time.
They have wings too. We didn’t get them but the table across from us ordered the buffalo flavor and they smelled awesome. They were so meaty and looked fresh. I wish I would have gotten some to go.
I took a chance because of the Unilocal reviews and I’m glad I did. I will definitely be back!

Yummo! This place was so good and great service. Meal was very reasonable which always makes it taste better!

If you ever had Gino’s in philly you will quickly notice the bread. Yum!
The place looks a little shady from the outside, but sometimes those are the best places and you guessed it, this is one of those!
I give it five stars because I don’t of many phillycheese stake places in town, beside texadphia which is always a little disappointing. Here they have about 5 different sauces, the bread is delicious, the place is super clean inside, the food is good me the owner is a Cowboys fan! They also have add ons, like jalapeño, onions bacon, mushrooms for an extra cost.
Also, on Wednesdays they have half price Chicken Cheestakes, not be at all!
Keep up the good work guys!

As good as anything you’d get in Philadelphia– but with a manageable line, no fear of being demeaned while ordering, and Dallas Cowboys signs (instead of that hideous Eagles nonsense) adorning the walls.

This place is awesome best steak sandwich outside of Philadelphia I’ve ever had. The bread is amazing, coincidence enough they get the bread from Philly. I recommend the cheesy steak Sandwich it’s amazingly good. We went on a Wednesday they had half off chicken sandwiches but I went ahead and got a traditional since it’s my first time here. I made a great choice. Great job guys keep up the good work I definitely be coming back.

So I had the pleasure and the honor to eat here at again yesterday. I have been here now a few times and each time I come it keeps getting better and better. I also had the pleasure to chat with the owners and I have how down to earth they are, they really do take pride in what the do for the business they have. Always greeted, no rush when ordering always happy to awesome questions about sandwich combinations, I like in a restaurant. This place is a god sent here to oakcliff.
I say because I always see things on TV about cheesesteak place in Philly and how I always to go visit so sure Philly is famous cheesesteaks and has couple well known eatery and that ok for them. Now we as Texans can we got one two. Please come by this place and check it out you will not regret it. The food and the sauces are delicious were getting seconds is ok.
