I’ve been on a quest to find the best tacos in Dallas, and this place is top 3. I had the Cubano taco and then went back for 2 of the C Señor tacos(short rib). The tacos are small, but what it lacks in size makes up in flavor. So delicious! I also had a bite of the Cubano sandwich and it was also well-done. Prices are cheap, too. Wait time can be a little longer than expected, but I like knowing they’re making my food fresh. The seating area outside is also nice on a warm day. Check it out!

Being born and raised in Miami, I was excited to try some Cuban food here in Dallas. I brought my boyfriend and we both brought an empty belly. The seating was just okay being outside. There are umbrellas, but eh. surprised there were no chicken options and menu was limited, but hey it is a stand. We ordered and split the cuban sandwich– Solid short rib sandwich– kind of dry. There was something missing, perhaps some moisture or a tad more taste. Beans and rice-more like soup since it was combined and very runny– Had a good flavor Yuca fries– tired of them after a few bites, missing a garlic dipping sauce. Mango ketchup– nothing noteworthy bottled Sangria aka grape soda(save your money!) The portions were fair. It was worth a try, but wouldn’t go back.

All the sandwiches are on point! The Ruz and the yucca fries are my favorite! The sandwich is slightly sweet from the jalapeño jam and cream cheese. And the mango ketchup for the fries, is just delightful. ¡C. Senõr! is a tiny little gem in Bishop Arts, blink and you miss it. So keep those eyes peeled!

I’ve passed up C Señor numerous times on my daily treks through Bishop Arts and finally decided to try it for lunch. My first thought: These are NOT your ordinary sandwiches! I ordered the Ruz which was a roasted turkey sandwich with cream cheese and jalepeno jam. The sandwich was huge and very filling. My fiancé order the Cuban burger, which looked small in the to-go container but turned out to be more than enough for one person. The cuban burger is a beef and chorizo patty and was delicious. This was my first time having this combo of meat and I’m a fan. We ordered a side of yucca fries and my only complaint about them is that I wish the order came with more! It did take a little longer than I expected for our order to be ready and there was only one person waiting on food before us. All in all, C Señor is a great lunch option in Bishop Arts.

Love these Cubano and Ruz sandwiches!!! And the YUCCAFRIES with the mango ketchup!!! Oh my goodness. I go here almost weekly and cannot stay away. Two people can definitely split all sandwiches BUT the Mahi Mahi one(that is already halved). The lovely ladies I see behind the counter are always kind and fun. My mouth is watering thinking about one right now. I gots to go!

The best Cuban sandwiches I’ve had yet in Dallas!!! The cheese melts perfectly with the sandwiches and the way their pickles taste are perfect with the sandwich. I can’t wait to go try the rest of their sandwiches! The mango ketchup is also so SO good! It’s like a salsa almost and the Yuka fries are great! If it’s your first time, def try their cubano with Yuka fries as a start.

When some friends ordered out without asking me if I wanted anything, on an empty stomach their Cuban sandwiches from C Señor looked so lovely. My friend gave me part of his sandwich. «It’s too sweet.» He said in disagreement. But for me the sweet bread pared heavenly with w a saltiness and the gooey cheese. As soon as I had the chance I went back and ordered my own sandwich. The Cubano, pork with onions and maybe Swiss. During the lengthy Carribean style wait, about 15 minutes with only one person ahead of me, before I could say«Fidel Castro», I spotted on the menu«in keeping with traditional style, our bread contains lard.» That print, if bigger, might have swayed my order toward tacos and somehow the Cubano wasn’t as satisfying as the Turkey sandwich I had tasted the week before. For around $ 10 with no side it isn’t exactly a bargain. C Señor is a Cuban sandwich and taco stand. There is outdoor seating available. The sandwiches are rich and range from good to just ok for the price point.

C Señor is a unique sandwich shop with a limited but delightful. I tried the Cuban on a Saturday afternoon in the Bishop Arts District. This was my first time here and the staff were patient and helpful, explaining some of the menu items to me. I tried the Cuban which consisted of pulled pork and grilled ham with cheese laid over mustard and pickle, served hot and fresh. The flavor was good meeting my expectations. I also tried the yucca fries which were also delightful. I’m not familiar with this type of food which is why I stopped here. This is an outdoor dining/take-out restaurant. If you’re looking for food a little outside the ordinary, then this place may be for you. C Señor sits in the middle of an intersection and offers store designated parking in the adjacent parking lot; however parking in this area of Bishop Arts can be difficult to find at times. I plan on going back sometime to try something different. A sandwich, yucca fries and drink will set you back about $ 10. This is a great place for lunch or dinner on the go!

We came to this gem on my birthday and Cubano is one of the best sandwiches my life has ever tasted. Fresh, tangy pickles and yellow mustard cut the richness of their Mojo pork. Think of the Mojo as juicy, roasted, pork with the fat rendered into the meat. It just melts. Ahh! And their bread is baked with lard, so if you’re not into that kind of thing, you can ask for the stupid, boring, healthy alternative. But one thing you must, MUST order are the yucca fries. They are life changing and was my favorite thing on the menu. The fries are served with steroid sauce aka mango ketchup and seasoned with lime salt. Let the mouth watering commence. Try it. You’re welcome.

Great food from a great location. The Cuban sandwich is top notch and pair that with a traditional café con leche on a cool day or cold evening and it makes the perfect meal.

Missing my old days in Miami, C Señor brought back some good memories! A warm and delicious Cuban sandwich was on my shopping list and man, was it good — Didn’t have enough tummy space for sides, but who needs sides when you have so much delicious juicy pork, ham cheese and pickles! Best served with awesome weather!

C Señor is a casual food stand in Dallas’s Bishop Arts District that happens to create some amazing Latin influenced cuisine. Don’t be fooled by its humble surroundings. While it sports outdoor seating only, you’ll find the best Yucca fries in Dallas along with some quality sandwiches. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Being in the Bishop Arts District comes with a certain sense of charm. For C Señor, it happens to be a food stand that sports outdoor tables. This means on awesome weather days nothing beats it, but it also means parking can be a challenge, and when it rains or the Texas summer heat arrives it’s no Bueno. ½ Star. Service — How can a food stand have great service? Well for starters they’ll get you through the line efficiently, and because the food is made to order, you take a seat and they’ll bring out food as it is ready so that all items are fresh. Nothing negative/bad. 1 Star. Food — C Señor has a Latin influenced menu, including sandwiches, tacos, sides, and even coffees. If you visit C Señor(and you should), I will proudly proclaim they have the BEST yucca fries in DFW. I would expand it to the world but honestly I haven’t eaten them anywhere else. So what makes them so great? Let’s start with a perfectly crispy and greaseless exterior that you bite into, followed my moist & tender yucca. If it’s too hot, dip it in any of C Señor’s excellent dips to add flavor while cooling it down. They never dry out like at other places, yes I love them. Oh, their sandwiches are pretty good too. While most people will go directly for the Cuban(ham/swiss/mustard), my preferred choice is their C Señor — tender shredded short rib, onion, cheese, perfectly pressed together in an amazing roll. After eating this sandwich I realized why it’s called C Señor & not El Cubano. Oh, did I mention you can get café con leche iced or hot? Si, Señor. 2 Stars. Will I Return? — Probably but… C Señor is great, but BAD has so many great options it’s hard for me to imagine going there ONLY to eat there. But, if I’m in the area with no reservations and an appetite for the best yucca fries I can get, C Señor is on the list. ½ Stars. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

So my brother in law recommended this place to me. I didn’t know this place existed for Cuban sandwiches. It’s all started with the movie Chef and if you even seen this film it will make you hungry. I was joking around saying I wish we had a place like this. He said we do I’m like where in North Dallas I knew of a place a while back. He said no right here in the Bishop Arts. I must’ve past by this place a dozen times and never notice it lol. So anyway we went and for the first time I was treated to a fresh Cuban sandwiche and yucca fries wow and wow it was good. It’s a little pricey but you won’t be disappointed in the food. It is so good and tasty and I can’t wait to go back again and again to try the other menu items. Swing on by to this cute little place it’s worth it.

Fidelicious How is it that I have only recently checked this place out? I truly wish I hadn’t waited so long. Basically a permanent food truck like set-up at the intersection of Davis and Bishop, with a few tables to sit and eat, watch the people. But it does have parking! The c-señor sandwich is as good as any I’ve had in Little Havana, probably better. Pressed medianoche bread with thick slices of ham and perfectly seasoned roast pork. And just the perfect amount of mustard. So gooood! Also the Lucy sandwich is very tasty for a meatless option. Very tasty and satisfying. But here’s an awesome thing: You can get any of the items as a sandwich OR as a taco! Genius. Which was perfect last weekend when I felt like a burger, but not super hungry. Had the burger taco. GETTHISTACO! It was sooooo good! Delicious. Mildly spicy, flavorful, Latin America meets Middle America in the best way possible. I can’t wait to have it again. This place is great!!!

I slammed C Señor because I was charged for the single portion of Mango Ketchup I requested with Fried Yucca order. On my next visit, still annoyed, I ask why they have that charge. Apparently, it was an error; you’re only charged when you get EXTRA condiments. This visit the manager gave me TWO servings of Mango Ketchup with my Yucca Fries to make up for the mistake during my first time. Good customer service!

Don’t feel like reading? Know this — C Señor is a fantastic addition to Bishop Arts District that combines excellent sandwiches and competitive tacos. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? While C Señor could still be ironing out the kinks, it was the service that had me wishing I’d brought a coat when I strolled up at 1700 on a Wednesday evening. First and foremost, there’s no seating outside of three round concrete picnic tables, so you’re very much exposed to the elements, which will be as much of an issue come August as it was in February. The thing is, without protection, the fifteen minutes that it took for my sandwich and taco to come out may as well have been an hour. It didn’t deter my experience, but if I were pulling the strings behind C Señor I would invest in a heating lamp in the winter and one of those misters in the Summer. Otherwise? the climate might have me looking elsewhere in the area for some grub. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Logistics aside, know that there is some serious value at C Señor. This was initially called into question when I saw the size of my Cuban Burger taco, which rang in at $ 2.00: The picture might be deceiving, but this was two bites of taco — tops. That’s not great value considering there are larger tacos elsewhere for comparable dollars, but then I opened up my $ 8.00 Cubano: Brilliant — this was two meals, and for $ 8.00 that’s some serious value. Redemption! Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This is some serious good stuff. Was this among the best tacos I’ve had in Dallas? No, but it honestly didn’t have to be considering the divine quality of my Cubano sandwich. A common drawback with Cubanos(the sandwich, that is) is that since everything is pressed together, there’s a tendency(I’m looking at you Miami) to use subpar ingredients and just mash it all together with some butter. That’s very much not the case with C Señor. These ingredients were quality, with great buttery bread, high quality meats, and some good cheese and mustard that brought everything together. Well done C Señor, well done. Excited to try the others. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? C Señor has the best Cubano sandwich in the city, and I love the variety between sandwiches and tacos. However, Uncle Über’s still has the best sandwiches in town both with respect to flavor and variety, so no star here. No Star Granted.

Have you ever been sitting on your couch day dreamin about an amazing hot sandwich. No, not a sub, or a deli sandwich… but a hot, juicy, savory, fresh and yummo grilled sammy? Yes? Then C Señor is your place!!! Here’s what you have to do… walk up on your two legs. Go to the counter. Order your sandwich and wait 10 minutes. Either take your sandwich with you and eat like a slob in the privacy of your own home, or take it to an outdoor table close by and let other stare in awe of that amazeballs creation of a meal. I ordered the C Señor and while the flavor was all there I did think it was a tad dry. Its the short rib, swiss and grilled onions grilled on cuban bread. I definitely thought it needed something else, like roasted red peppers or a some kind of spicy mayo. Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, just thought it needed just one more item. MP ordered the Cubano and literally was moaning through the whole experience. Gross. We also got an order of the Yucca fries and those are NOT, I repeat NOT to be missed. Also, go ahead and get a couple of their specialty ketchup’s…boy oh boy. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu!!! OLE! Overall, amazing new addition to the OC. Lord knows we need more things to eat down there! Ha! Muy Bueno!!!

Loved this little shop right by Bishop’s art district. They sell the best Cuban sandwiches in Dallas(my opinion) They have a few other options including a vegetarian and beef rib sandwich but the Cuban is just so dam perfect I will be returning for just that. The sandwich is simple and tasty, the staff super friendly even on this hectic night when the line had about 30 people(there was a block party going on) There is no inside seating.. This is more like a permanent food truck. You order at one window and pick up at the next. The yucca fries didn’t sound too appealing but they were delicious. Fluffy(yes fluffy) pillows of goodness with a dipping sauce. There are cement picnic tables right outside so you can eat right there if you want and the sandwiches are pretty big too so we shared. Very happy that I found a good Cuban sandwich place and in one of my favorite areas too!
