Got our order wrong twice and food was cold! How is it cold twice!!! Honestly the night time staff need a good clearing and to hire a real chef. We expect better food now. Especially in Deep Ellum. Will always go to a competitor now.

Food was amazing and loved the friendly patrons, that’s all I could say positive, I don’t know what happened, was out with friends laughing, having a good time, we asked if we could seat outside, 10 mins go by and others around us got menus and drinks, finally someone came by and said, have you been served? No, can we please get a menu. She comes back 5 minutes later, by this point others seated after us were already served food. I asked if she could recommend a good strong coffee, she said she didn’t know, whatever they got. I asked of she could recommend something and then suggested something dark. I asked if I could get some ice and a hot chocolate with the coffee. She said, are you ready to order food yet? I apologized and said we’d need a moment to look at the menu. She comes back 5 mins later, ice but no coffee. I asked if I could get the coffee, she said yeah, it’s inside. So we ordered food, took another 15 mins fine, no silverware. I asked for the check and boxes to go. She spends another 10 mins getting enough singles from my $ 50, came back, gave me my change and stood there waiting for a tip, I said thank you and left. All this time others getting served quickly and with a friendly smile, we however were the only ones to get this girl, don’t know what happened or what it was all about but her attitude was insanely bad, treatment was so rude and unprofessional. I had such high hopes, of course I left a 2 cent tip trying to make a point, albeit for the life of me, I was stunned, the service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced, beware, didn’t get her name but to treat us this way was so sad, she couldn’t have been worse, I get maybe having a bad day but the attitude was so uncalled for, lost a good long term client and I will warn others about the service.

Café Brazil has many locations, but this one was the best I’ve experienced. Came on a Friday morning, and even though not too busy, the coffee bar was still maintained hot and fresh. Staff and waiter Char was friendly and attentive. Ordered the Brazilian Breakfast and each item was hot and prepared perfectly. The chorizo empanada was excellent! The venue has a local vibe feel and awesome patio. Check it out!

The restaurant put coupons in our box. I am the Coupon Queen and this location is just a short walk away, so we checked it out. We ate breakfast food: Brazilian breakfast and chicken fried steak & eggs. Our server was friendly and polite. The food was pretty good, lacking in flavor, but hot, and not bad. The coupon made it worth it. I don’t think we’d eat here again unless it was a special or a coupon deal, since the food was«nothing to write home about.» It’s Deep Ellum — there is tons of good food around here. Oh, but I will rave about the homemade bread on the breakfast plates. You could tell that it was homemade, and it was yummy. I thought this spot would be the same as the Café Brazil in Houston, but it’s very different.

So walking into this place was by chance due to another long wait at another place but… by the time we received our food, we might as well just made the wait. Ignoring that factor alone, as nice as our waitress seemed, we weren’t handed any napkins or silverware to begin with. The tea was decent as well as the cheese fries but the rest of our order wasn’t even subpar. Chorizo was bland, the chicken fried steak was chewy, and the chicken on the nachos was super dry. Throw that all together with a price of 45 dollars plus and it was not a great experience. Lesson learned.

Really good breakfast and coffee, including the beans for taking home. The food was really great but the best part was our server was really funny. His(possibly her) name was Char(«in case you didn’t know») and he puts stickers on your bill but don’t ask him what your stickers are ahead of time because«ma’am, calm down, you’ll get your stickers», so just wait for your goddamn stickers and then you’ll know what your stickers are. Mine were Batman. I forget the pricing but I was nice and full and felt like it was a decent value on top of being delicious.

This is always a great restaurant to eat at but this particular location had me looking around like. Everyone seemed to have a pretty cool personality EXCEPT for the chick with piercing in the center of her top lip. She’s rude, creepy looking, she stares at you rather than greet you, and she’s just weird-looking

Elm is revamped with better streets and easier flow for pedestrians. It’s nice to grab a late/cracked of the am coffee on Friday and Saturday. Service is like any other café Brazil. Sit next to the window, people watching in deep ellum is interesting.

How does a rating go from 2 to 4 stars in a matter of moments? Come along friend and I’ll tell you how. Visited Café Brazil after attending a concert in Deep Ellum. I fully expected it to be crowded because it was well after midnight and people were hungry. We had to wait about 10 mins for a table to clear. No biggie. We were seated and our server greeted us and off we went to the self serve coffee. Disappointment #1 All of the coffee was lukewarm. Every single flavor was lukewarm. We literally had to have one of the servers to heat our coffee. What kind of foolery? Disappointment #2 Our food arrived and it «looked» absolutely delicious. Well, my boyfriend’s food was piping hot. I could see the steam. So I’m thinking yaaaasss I’m ready to destroy my meal. Hold up *in my Nate Dog* voice. My food is ranging from hot, lukewarm and cold. Fix it, Jesus! So you may ask how is that even possible? Come friend let me explain. I ordered the chicken crepes. The crêpe itself was lukewarm, the shredded chicken on top was hot and the Rosemary potatoes were cold. Boom! Funny thing. Sometimes the universe serves you a nice hot piece of humble pie. As I was getting ready to flag down the server. A homeless man walked in and went to the self serve coffee. He made a cup of coffee, grab a used news paper and sat down. He was content with the coffee and wasn’t irritated that it wasn’t smoking hot. I continued to be observant and nosy. One of the servers, as she was going to her table. She gently comforted the homeless man. She squeezed his shoulder and he placed his hands on top of hers. For me it was such a small but powerful moment. Yeah, I quickly got over my irritation with my coffee and food. Yes, I should have been served hot food. Yes, I’m paying for a service. But I’m blessed in the fact that I can go out to eat and later rant/rave about the experience. I can go home and heat up my food. I can buy hotter coffee. But that gentleman can’t do any of that. He was happy with lukewarm coffee and a human’s touch. I’m giving the extra 2 stars because although my food was not hot. The flavor was still good. The shredded chicken was seasoned very well. If food can still taste pretty good cold. Then imagine when it’s done correctly. But the extra 2 stars is mainly for the server. I will say her character alone would have me to come back.

I love breakfast for dinner(especially after a night of libations) and thankfully Café Brazil serves it all day. They are also open 24⁄7 and have the most amazing self serve coffee bar with a ton of ever changing flavors. One of the coffees I tried was ice cold, but simply notify a server and they will be quick to remedy that. You get charged by how many coffee mugs are on your table so stick with one per person. Refills are bottomless and you can try as many different flavors as you like. I love their French toast and pancakes, but went for an omelette this time around. I ordered the cheese which had soft fluffy eggs and a combination of jack, cheddar, asiago, and feta. I paid extra to add sliced avocado on top as well and it was delicious! They serve it with rosemary potatoes(YUM) and a slice of grilled homemade white bread which I gave to my friends appreciative corgi. Their patio is dog friendly by the way and they also have free Wi-Fi. My husband got the Brazilian Breakfast plate which has two farm fresh eggs, a chorizo empanada topped with spicy cream sauce, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes, along with rosemary potatoes, a jalapeño, and homemade white toast. The portions are HUGE! Definitely shareable plates if you aren’t a big eater. The prices are awesome too. They have plenty of vegetarian choices, coffees for sale, even cakes and pies. I haven’t tried their desserts yet, but I will say they look incredible. The one thing that sucks about this location is parking. They have a small private lot, but it fills up quickly. Especially on busy nights being close to the surrounding bars and restaurants so be prepared.

Mediocrity is the sum of my dining experience here, although I have friends who swear by this place. The coffee was hot though, so I guess that is a plus. Also, apparently cops love this spot since I see the squad cars posted up in their parking lot constantly. If that is what you are into this place is right up your alley.

So incredibly mediocre. Doused my food in ketchup in order to eat because it had absolutely no flavor. But by the time the food finally came to the table I was committed to eating it, since we waited about 45 mins. Terribly slow service. Will not come back.

This place was awesome. We went somewhat late after getting out of the theater, and we were ravenous! As usual, CB delivered. Food was great, and delivered quickly. Our waitress, Lindsey, was awesome, and definitely made a good night even better. They currently have a s’mores latte, which is basically heaven in a cup. Definitely recommend that! Overall, great experience! Will definitely go back!

Nothing too special about Café Brazil. Their coffee is decent but the food is just ok. I’ve always been underwhelmed when I come but they try and make their food too fancy. My girlfriend got the pumpkin spice pancakes and they had a sour bitter note the them. The sourness isn’t too appetizing. I got the western omelet and that was ok… I think IHOP has better omelets IMO. The waiters were nice though.

Not to keen on this location. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because of the funny waiter. Who unfortunately did not serve our table. As for the food it was dry and bland. I ordered something fairly simple. Classic breakfast with french toast. My eggs were dry, french toast was dry and bacon was burnt. Sad breakfast for me :-( Unless we have another team breakfast here, it is highly unlikely that i will be back to this location.

Please don’t go! This location has sub-par food and is really dirty. I had sweet potatoes that were supposed to be cooked like a hash(I think?) but were inconsistently cooked and oily. Not good. The turkey in my «warm» sandwich was cold. Add to the bad food the fact that the carpet is just nasty and this does not add up to a pleasant dining experience. CB, if you’re reading this, I hope you will yank that disgusting carpet up and clean the place up a bit.

The food here is pretty good, but a lot came out just lukewarm. We were a party of six, and my food was steaming hot, so they probably just let the other entrees sit while they recooked mine after messing something up. As for the coffee, they have a great selection of flavors, but I’m a decaf drinker, so that urn had old coffee in it, as they don’t record the time it was brewed, as far as I can tell. And since decaf is less popular, it just sits there for hours until eventually consumed. But the real reason for the low rating is the men’s room: TOTALLYDISGUSTING. The floor was soaking wet from some sort of leak from the toilet that had clearly been going on for a while. I mean, my Lord, you’re a restaurant: call a plumber!

This place is best for late nights. I came around a quarter till 3am & their food did good. With this being my first time, the menu probably had over 100 things to choose from. I may be over exaggerating, but it’s close to it. I went with the Brazilian Breakfast. Two eggs, grilled white bread, rosemary potatoes & a chorizo sausage empanada. The empanada had chipotle cream & shredded cheese on top, a nice touch. It didn’t have enough sausage, kind of a letdown but still good. The potatoes were good as well, slightly greasy & the Rosemary was a good addition. They serve breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. Everything you can think of, honestly. You’ll just have to see for yourself.

Came in for lunch and was kinda disappointed today. Usually there is enough staff to cover the crowd but today looks like they were understaffed for the lunch rush. I waited with my buddy 15 min before anyone even came to the table. This has to just be an off day for the place. Either way I will still come back.

It was pretty warm outside so we decided we do do breakfast here so we could eat al fresco. We got there and was greeted by a very interesting server. He was cool but very sarcastic and had lots of jokes. He was a very skinny guy with lots of tats… I forgot his name but you should ask for him if you eat here. As far as the food goes, I went with the Brazilian Breakfast which includes two eggs, chorizo empanada with spicy crème sauce, rosemary potatoes, a giant jalapeño pepper and grilled bread. Very good meal as the empanada was the obvious show stealer… very good! The potatoes were very tasty as they included tomatoes and cheese mixed in. Good spot as there are maybe 3 locations across the Dallas Metroplex area. Menu is pretty stacked here and full of goodies so you can’t go wrong with anything here

Café Brazil consistently delivers what I expect each time I come here. I know what their migas are going to taste like. I know their huevos rancheros is topped with dried up salsa and the pulled chicken is a bit flavorless. They have crepes, french toast, omelettes and other normal morning meals. Their pancakes will always look like the ones my mom made: thick, browner on the edges and a beautiful imperfect circle. After eating a stack, you’ll want to upchuck it along with the coffee you drank and not regret a single thing. Fri-Sat they’re open 24 hours, so you know exactly where to go when you are ossified. If you’re grubby, you may be able to see past the grunginess of this location. I’m no Mrs. Clean myself, but clearly this place could use a bit more bleach or lemons. Expect an eclectic collection of staff members and even customers. The piano man from Elm St can often be seen having a few cups of coffee here even. Everyone is all swell though and low-pressure. It almost makes me want to tat up my whole arm to fit in more. This is also one of the few places that has their own parking lot in Deep Ellum. For a convenient breakfast in the area that isn’t complete garbage, Café Brazil is it.

I will make this a short one. Hipster vibe — If you want to work here and do not have at least 5 tattoos. Move along please. :) Good coffee — Hot. Tasty. Lots of options. Decent food — Noting to write Food & Wine magazine about demanding a critical review. Good tho. Venue is dirty — This is irresponsible. There is no reason whatsoever that any food venue should be dirty. I wont go into gritty(pun) details but, I will just say this. Sidework people, check the bathrooms. Wipe down the fixtures. I know the building is old but that does not excuse dirt & grime visible to your diners. It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. The dirty issue really freaks me out, and for that only 2 stars.
