Have to say I liked it. 1st time truly walking this park. Wanted out a couple of times towards the end because I was lost. I was so lost that I started listening to the freeway.(Saying to myself if it’s right there-then I should be walking that way.) You have to have good leg strength to do some of these trails as far as riding a bike is concerned. I saw one sign while I was walking indicating –I guess how hard it is. My opinion is this is a perfect place to go walking/running at. It’s not a hard surface like concrete– so I don’t believe your feet would hurt doing this trail. Other than learning this park ins and OUTS-LOVEIT. I will do this again.

Beautiful scenery, fun trails, not too crowded. Hard to believe that this park inside the city of Dallas. I’ve ridden these trails for 15 years. Dorba does a wonderful job keeping them up. In summer hit this one in the mornings. Check the DORBA site for conditions for a few days after rain.

I have been an active member of DORBA for a few years now and have ridden a lot of the trails in the area. Boulder has been my favorite trail since the first time I rode it. I love it so much that I volunteer a lot of my time on the weekends to help keep it maintained and enjoyable. This trail has several technical spots with bypasses as well so you are not required to do the technical spots if you are not ready. It has a great flow and all together is a 12 mile track, so a GREAT work out. If you love to hit the dirt with a bike or hike then I suggest you check out Boulder :)

First of all, I’m surprised to see that«biking» or «mountain biking» aren’t listed under the Active Life category! REALLY?! C’mon! Anyway, Boulder Park is a small hidden gem if you’re looking to challenge yourself on the mountain bike trail. It definitely doesn’t have long leisurely trails but it’s pretty fun. I went here on a hot summer day and don’t recommend going when it’s 100+ degree weather without plenty of water. Some of the trails have loose rock and exposed limestone, others are plain dirt with a few dry creek beds. Pretty good hills for some quick ups and downs. I’m no expert but I thought this place was pretty challenging(fell on my arse about 4 or 5 times). You can get trial updates/conditions from DORBA(Dallas Off Road Biking Association) at . Dallas Parks doesn’t have any good info on the park online so I’d get all my biking info from DORBA.
