I was in town visiting family and needed a place to run. There was only one review on Unilocal so I was a little skeptical. To my surprise the park is really clean. There are nice trails to run on and lots of trees. It was not crowded but there was enough foot traffic to feel safe. Also to note, there are 3 kiddie park areas. Two on the side with the trails and another across the street. If you’re into tennis and basketball they have courts as well. There’s also a creek with fish although, I’m not sure if you’re allowed to fish there. Last but not least, there is ample parking. Enjoy!

Aaaah, Glendale Park! It’s not often when I feel the need to break a sweat outdoors and when I do, this park is my favorite. There are two loops that equal a little over two miles. Upgrades are in progress and it looks the extension will lead to the future home of the new recreation center near the upcoming DART rail station. There are trees everywhere providing plenty of shade when the sun is blazing. If you have little ones with you there’s a playground area waiting for them. Don’t be surprised to run into events here; the park pavilion area is popular for school alumni events, family picnics, etc. There are always people working out in the mornings and I’ve seen trainers have workout sessions. It’s the perfect small, neighborhood park where everyone says«hi».
