We went here to check out some football one Sunday. We are always looking for new places with great TVs for football! Bartender was kind and attentive and put the tv on a game I wanted(not much competition for viewing, plus there are plenty of TVs in the place). Food was great(I did nachos). We enjoyed it, but did notice our bill was higher than other places we frequent. All in all, not a bad place and we will try it again in the future.

One of my favorite spots and now so dissatisfied with everything here. Food is not the same like it use to be and service here just simply is not good. Management and servers have all changed from last time I attended and it seems like the old crew took Ashwood with them. Will not be returning.

This place was a joke. Menu literally was pathetic. Service was awkward and slow. There was 2 other people in here. We got chips and queso and it tasted like it was straight from the jar. So GLAD we didn’t eat our actual meal here. No soap at all in the bathrooms… How do the employees wash their hands? This place sucks.

Poor service. Menu was clearly a re-print. Had a ton of items with special names, like the«Ashwood Burger” – but no description at all of what it was. The veggie sandwich did have a description. It was supposed to contain avocado and tomatoes, neither of which were present on the actual sandwich. Actually, the sandwich came with a slice of UNMELTED American cheese and some raw peppers. It looked as sparse and ridiculous as it sounds. Imagine two slices of bread with raw peppers sitting on an unmelted slice of cheese. That was the veggie sandwich. Unbelievable.

Horrible horrible horrible food and experience. The service was worse and why does everything have jalapeños on it. I purchased their classic chicken sandwich and bacon wrapped chicken tenders. The chicken sandwich tasted like rubber and old bun with mold on it. I told waitress and she literally said«oh, we’re under new management» WTF does that have to do with old, moldy food? If I could give the this place negitive stars, they’d be out of business. Now the real issue. It took 45mins for the appetizer and 2omins longer for the sandwich. Where is that time from logical seeing that we were one of 4ppl in the place. No atmosphere is an understatement!!! Im sure the reviews are from the owner or friends of employees! BTW how do you mess up bacon??? Such a shame ! #neveragain

A bit of a dud on upper Greenville. A no-frills sports bar. Decent bar. Big TVs for easy viewing. Zero atmosphere. Food is mediocre and expensive. A burger, a plate of tacos and two beers was $ 36 plus tip. Eh, skip it.

Want to eat good food, at a good price without a wait? This would be your place. I have been here a food times and never had anything bad. Keep in mind you shouldn’t go here to be seen or to see anyone, it’s a very relaxed chill restaurant. I love the hawaian chicken sandwhich and I add an egg, minus the avocado. The fries are think and crispy with lots of flavor. Yum! They have great happy hour specials with discounted nachos that one person couldn’t finish themselves. The last few times I have been there the service has been less then pleasing as there was only one waitress working. She did the best she could but it made the wait really long. I’m not sure why they only had one staff member working the bar and the restaurant. I usually go on Sunday’s so not sure if this is just a slower day or if this is the way it always is. The food is great and they have a nice patio that is dog friendly. If you aren’t in a hurry and just want a chill spot, I would definitly try out Ashwood Bar & Kitchen.

Oh goodness, we didn’t even stay long enough for food. We attempted to have an early dinner here. The place was completely deserted except for a couple of people playing pool. We were handed menus, which we were told were temporary. They had no descriptions of the food, just names, and the menus weren’t even complete. So, we both just got waters as we used Unilocal to decipher the menu, and shortly after(after drinking, mind you!) I saw a dead fly floating in my glass as well as a tiny spider dangling by its web from the tip of the straw. I am not kidding nor exaggerating. After that we told our server that we needed to leave.

I swear I thought this type of experience was only reserved for reality TV shows on fox. The lunch rush was our table of 6. That was it. In a completely empty restaurant it still still took over an hour to take our order, cook the food(poorly) and then let us pay. The old adage is true, never order a meal in an empty restaurant. The yelling from the kitchen was a great addition to overall ambiance. The waitress couldn’t be bothered to fill our water or check on us even once. The manager/owner is begging to be on Kitchen Nightmares. The entire experience was beyond surreal. Maybe this place is good for boozing on the weekend but for lunch, avoid at all costs.

As I see it, Ashwood should give me this star back. If only I could award no stars… Poor service, items on menu not available, odd mixture of music and TV. Just not buttoned up.

Food was quite good here. Went during lunch time, early in the week. Service was fine, not more than expected. Food came quick, and was hot. Burger was flavorful and juicy. Fries were excellent! Will return if I’m in the area, and hankering for a good burger.

Can’t say one bad thing about our experience. Great service, great pour on my drink, 50 cent wings all day everyday were on point, and BF’s pork tacos were also solid!

Raw chicken wings. Steak sandwich was awesome. Waitress really came through and made things… better. Cocktails were inexpensive but kind of short pours. PBR is cheap, cold, and plenty of it. Getting two stars because I have a zero tolerance for raw food being served.

Okay, my new favorite Resturant on upper Greenville Ave is Ashwood. This is our second visit in two months and the food and service has been Great both times. On our first visit I had the Ashwood Burger $ 8. My wife the Ashwood Chicken $ 8. We agreed they were both delicious. Tonight my wife ordered the Southwest Cobb Salad $ 10, I had the Famous Chicken Wings $ 9. and once again the food & service was great. And the Sweet Potato fries are the Best we ever had, and we order them all over town. This is a place you must try, I think you will enjoy it s much as we have. And there is always a beer special!

Met up with a group of friends here on a weekday night and I was surprised to see how many families were eating here(I had originally thought it was much more of a bar). We were seated immediately. We all ordered a couple of beers, and I ordered the cowboy burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Our server brought me the wrong beer but still put an orange slice in it(I had ordered a blue moon), but it was still tasty so I didn’t complain. The cowboy burger was a pretty standard burger, but nothing impressive. Sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious though! They’ve got a ton of other menu items aside from burgers, so maybe I’ll try something different next time!

This place has gone downhill. It was a great spot for a drink and a bite but the service has taken it down a few notches. During a recent visit I ordered a local craft beer in which the bar tender told me how much he hated craft beer. He kept giving me examples of what he thought it tasted like and at one point held up beverage mat and told me it tasted exactly like the runoff of that. He also talked bad about the people who did like craft beer seemingly forgetting that I was a person who just ordered one. My girlfriend ordered a drink in which he made then gave to someone else for free and vanished for ten minutes then finally came back in which we just wanted out of there. After receiving the check, it showed that he charged us for drinks that we didn’t order or receive. With all the wonderful places to be in Dallas, I don’t think we will be going back every again. Be warned fellow Unilocalers.

We were excited to see someone try to open something here after Bonchon failed. Sadly, we weren’t very impressed with Ashwood. The $ 5 fried pickles and jalapeños were pretty good(not our favorite in DFW, but not bad either). No complaints about the bleu cheese burger, but the fish tacos were dreadfully sad. They were cold and almost inedible. The service was decent. Not sure if it was too busy for them, but it was difficult to get the waitress’ attention and we did have to correct some issues with our bill(almost charged for additional items we didn’t order). She was attentive to this and corrected it before we paid.

Always good service and delicious coctails. I’d say food is 7⁄10 average for both in house and to go. They have a happy hour worth checking out as well as regular weekly specials. It’s a great place to watch the game. They have tvs all over the place and an interesting patio area.

This place offers a clean environment, delicious food, and amazing value… Just order the chicken nachos and you’ll see what I’m talking about! We’ve been here 3 times to watch games and we’ll continue coming back for sure!

Best burgers. You have to try the Shermanator or the cowboy. The service is fast and amazing. Highly recommended
