Applebee’s

I’m not one to review on here but I had to because of how horrible my experience was. My fiancé and I love going to apple bees and were ecstatic to learn there was one literally 30 seconds down the road from our new home. We went there to eat once before and had a decent visit and decided to give this location another try. I wish I didn’t. To start, I ordered a large margarita and received a small. When I told the waitress what I ordered she said she would just order another small because they are the same price. She came out bringing another glass– which got watered down while I was drinking my first drink. My fiancé waited 15 minutes before getting asked if he needed another beer-​we also tried ordering on little computer on our table. Our appetizer took about 20 – 25 minutes to come out, my order I asked for no mushrooms and it came out with mushrooms. She asked if I wanted them to remake it and I said no for the simple fact that I didn’t want to wait 30 minutes to receive my food. My fiancé snake potato was absolutely not cooked all the way. So we asked for another which was still not done. All being said this was the worst experience we’ve had. Even though it is right down the road, I don’t believe we will come back. I’ll drive 15 minutes somewhere else instead.

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my 24 years on this planet. Everyone looked like they had their hands in their pockets twiddling with their thumbs. The manager tried to defend his actions by saying that he was just there for one day one day or not you have an obligation to be the manager, the team leader make sure everyone falls in line and does their job. I really hate to speak bad on a restaurant but for Pete sakes they messed up my salad and then proceeded to tell me that I ordered it wrong it’s an Oriental chicken salad with fried chicken not grilled if I wanted grilled I would’ve asked because that was stated as a second item underneath the fried chicken oriental salad. My nachos tonight were the worst I have ever had it felt like I was chewing on a piece of blubber. and to top it all off he brought me the wrong drink 3 times and continue to charge me for those three even after I complained about it. So that is why I will never return and I told everybody to doublecheck before you go to this Applebee’s and I probably will never step foot in another Applebee’s restaurant due to this experience. Thank you if you chose to read this and understand I went in there with good intentions.

I’ve had great experiences at Applebee’s, but NOT this location. I generally go at least once a weekend because it’s convenient to my new job. The food is great, but the service sucks. Seating is immediate (any time of day) but getting served is aweful. Last weekend I sat there for about 15 minutes with 3 employees standing right next to me, and food and drinks passing by. I had to ask to be served. Yesterday I waited 15 minutes and no one acknowledged I was there. So I left. The only time I’ve had good service was from the lady bartender. In the future, if she’s not there I’m leaving. I wouldn’t recommend that place to my worst enemy.

The air was stagnant and stale. Table and menu was sticky. I had my tastebuds prepared for some good olé Applebee’s ribs, a favorites, but it wasn’t meant to be. Staff was not attentive and we left after about 15 minutes without being acknowledged.

We had a bad experience, for sure. I’ve recently eaten at other Applebee’s and had good food, friendly service and a fun experience. Our waitress forgot us for 28 minutes after saying she would be «right back» to take our order. As our group decided to leave and was debating which place to go to because of being ignored I flagged down a hostess. We explained the situation and requested a different waitress.
Instead a manager came and took our order and then gave us back to the same waitress. They gave us free chips and salsa (didn’t ask if we wanted that and it’s definitely not our favorite). Other than that they offered no other discount or concession for the major inconvenience.
At the end one entrée was listed on the bill for twice what it should have been. I had to wait 15 minutes to get that fixed because the waitress couldn’t find the manager to fix the problem. Not even an apology for the wait.
The food was rather bland compared to other locations I’ve been to. One of our party eats every week at an Applebee’s in another city every week on business travel and loves to order the same thing. At this location he barely ate any of it because it was not flavorful and didn’t taste as the meal should normally taste. Other entrees were dry and had very little sauce.
Overall, a bad experience.

Sangria is pretty darn good, coming from a man who usually does not drink sangria. Food was good, the only suggestion I have is to schedule more than one bartender during football games. Service was friendly, but a little on the slow side. Other than that, great place to watch the game!

The service was attentive and accommodating, no complaints.
The food was just average, not bad, but certainly not 4 star. I got the Southwest shrimp fettuccini – the portion was enormous – which was ok but not great. I ate about one-​third and took the other 2 pounds home. And we wonder why America is fat. The wife got some kind of chicken and shrimp combo which was again ok. She also got a happy hour enormous margarita for $ 4 but you get what you pay for, so it was just average. The ambience is ok, and seems to draw older people even though they have a bar and advertise being open to 2am. Overall, it was just an average experience and not really our type of place or food.
