Give this place business! The sushi is great and they seriously are the cutest and nicest people.

We eat here regularly. My mother likes the Japanese Ramen and I like the bento boxes and spicy tuna rolls. The bar-b-que bun dim sum is very good. The sushi is reasonably priced and we always get great service.

The food here is delicious and excellently prepared. Sushi is very good, and the chinese dishes are the best outside of Chinatown. Service is always friendly and attentive.

Great and fresh sushi. Dim sum pork and shrimp dumplings are delicious. Staff are friendly and are appreciative of regular customers. I have been multiple times and have always had a great meal. BYOB is a plus.

There aren’t a lot of sushi and dim sum places around here, so we gave this place a try because of the good reviews. We won’t be returning any time soon. The sushi was nothing spectacular. The fish was okay, but the rice to fish ratio in the sushi was so off; there was way too much rice in the sushi rolls. The rice also didn’t taste quite like sushi rice. It was a little too firm and dry for my liking. We also ordered some dim sum and it was disappointing. They tasted like re-heated frozen dim sum you can buy at the grocery stores in Chinatown.

We come here at least once a week. Besides the fact that it is BYOB, the food is awesome. We always get the Empress sushi, and can choose 15 pieces. The ahi tuna, white tuna, yellowtail, and salmon are always fresh. I have never had a bad experince here, and we have been here at least 20 times. We ventured and tried the Ramen for lunch, and it did not disappoint. You can’t go wrong here.

Love this place. Amazing food great wonton soup. Was introduced to this place from my parents and have been coming here ever since. For my money the best oriental food in North houston.

The missus and I went here last nite and I need to say that the food was not good, The Dim Sum we ordered was served to us still frozen in the center(sent it back). The Cashew shrimp was sauteed in sesame oil with no seasonings and cashews simply placed on top. Service was above average. The rice they served was tasty. We had california rolls and they were not well made nor did they taste fresh. Will not go here again

Love this place! Spicy tuna roll is outstanding and priced reasonably. Been eating here for years and even when I moved 15 miles away I still found myself driving down to eat here. No place else compares.

I have been coming here for years and absolutely love it! The best and most decently priced sushi in Cypress! San is always up for creating new rolls and dishes, so if there is something that you want to try, just ask! And his fried rice is the best fried rice I’ve ever had. Best part is BYOB! It’s a great spot!

It’s alright. It was good. I live out here in cypress and when I saw«dim sum» in our area I kinda freaked out! So I ordered a variety meal more to «sample» what they have to offer Sushi and dim sum I was curious. The miso soup $ 2. It was average. No tofu just seaweed, miso base, broth, chives. It was okay. The pepper tuna salad $ 11 was average and weird combo. Average… The tuna itself was just pepper tuna nothing stood out it just was. I love pepper tuna if it’s on a menu I’m ordering it. They put it on a spinach/arugula medley, with a honey glaze dressing and candied walnuts?! It reminded me of Panera bread salad with pepper tuna on it. it was alright. I wasn’t blown away, salad was a little small not a lot to it. Just taken by it. For a place that has dim sum they sure did«white people» their salad. Then the dim sum $ 4(8. chicken and mushroom) came out after the salad(I knew it would the menu said 10 minutes to steam) the bread was sweetish… And the chicken/mushrooms didn’t taste the mushroom but was good. There was paper left on the bottom of the buns I just peeled it off. we just don’t have anything like this in Cypress. When I can’t/don’t-want to drive to midtown and want dim sum and pepper tuna salad, there’s always Sushi & Grill, right? But yeah I’ll be back wasn’t blown away but decent for the area. I do want to try more stuff.

Ate here for the first time last night and it was DELICIOUS. My tea was never below half full and we ordered 5 rolls between 3 people and ate every bite it was so delicious and fresh! Ask for the 911 roll– it’s not on the menu but was SO awesome!!!

LOVE this place. We used to go about once a week, wish we could make it there that often now. The owners are amazing and always remember their regulars. This is the first place I had ever tried sushi and I have been hooked ever since. It’s small but the food is amazing and always fresh. You can watch them prepare the sushi right in front of you. I love their fried rice because it’s not overly greasy or heavy. They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own which is always nice. I would recommend this place to anyone. We’ve been going since they opened about 10 years ago so they’re obviously doing something right!

Great people, good sushi, good prices, and BYOB! Who could complain? Oh…if you want to be constantly doted on, then maybe you won’t be impressed. I’m all about bring me the food, keep my water full, and bring consistent service and food quality. It’s not Kata Robata, it’s not Uchi… but you’re in Cypress, and you’re not spending $ 30−50/person on food alone. It’s my go to neighborhood sushi place. BYOB, sushi and close to home.

I“m very confused how this restaurant has so many stars. Either we visited on a bad night or have completely different sushi taste buds than the other reviewers. It gets 2 stars, one for BYOB and the other because it’s food that was edible. I’m not a sushi wiz nor require fancy sushi(Redfish being my fave spot) however when the long john silver looking fried shrimp is put in a toaster oven to be cooked, i was alarmed! Luckily we ordered only one roll that had anything«cooked.» Not only was this not good sushi, the personality of the staff was less than appetizing as well. Sadly I feel BYOB should be left to BBQ and italian food.

I was really looking forward to a nice Sushi dinner, but instead, I got mediocre sushi that was way over-priced. I often frequent sushi restaurants, I’ve got to say, it was not worth the trip. A friend of mine ordered the pineapple chicken. Don’t bother, got one piece of pineapple on some breaded sweet and sour chicken with ½ cup of rice. It even had a cherry in the sauce… a cherry. We think they opened up a can of Del Monte canned fruit mix and put it in the sauce. As a past restaurant owner, I would have to say, go somewhere else. It is seriously not worth it.

Was at Sushi & Grill last night with a large party, and will not be going back. This was the worst service I have ever experienced-our party was completely ignored and when we did finally go get the waitress, she seemed very put out to take our order. After asking 3 times, I still never even got a glass of water. In contrast, all the other smaller tables were getting friendly service… it was strange… The food was okay, but not great-they were out of hamachi(on a Friday night?!), the sashimi was too thick, and there was too much avocado for my liking on one of our rolls. There were a couple of positives-the sushi chef is willing to prepare any roll you can dream up and it is BYOB, so you can save money there. Fortunately, the company was wonderful because the restaurant was not.

This place is very decent. A great place for lunch. They have a very good imperial sushi plate which is amazing, it is a huge assortment of every fish you can think of. The owner’s are friendly and is a good neighborhood restaurant. Recommended to try at least once!
