I like little sheep in SF and San Mateo, but here in Cupertino’s food is disgusting! Not Clean! I have diarhea and vomiting in two days after I ate the foods there.

Broth was somewhat bland. Didn’t like how it wasn’t busy since I get there at opening and they put me all the way in the very back by the kitchen and rice was extra and didn’t come check on me. Awesome guy that was cleaning up was better than the server.

By far the best Hot Pot I’ve had in the Bay Area. Great service, amazing private rooms for large groups, delicious meet and seafood. Fresh and tender. Stew was super yummy too and nothing was too oily!

This place is really good… ying yang flavors with tons of veggie, noodle and meats. Price wasn’t bad for a load of food for 6 people ~ $ 160(with tips). I like the beef and chicken, beef balls are great too. I think the spicy is too spicy so I like the regular mixed with the spicy. Place is more modern than the place in Union City and has a TV/plays music. The location is alright, small parking, so you might need to park on the side.

This place has is one of the best Shabu-shabu places around. I’ve sampled other places in San Jose but nothing beats the house broth(original and spicy!) and the unique flavor they bring along. Go for the Angus beef, the supreme lamb shoulder and your choice of veggies and you are in for an hours worth of delicious eating. And a bottle of sake helps as well. I’ve been there around 6PM every time I’ve been there so there is no wait period. Parking is sometimes a pain but there is street parking on both sides of the complex — but I’d advise carpools. Bottomline, great food, great service and I know exactly where to go when I need my next Shabu-shabu fix.

I am in love with this place. I wish I could come here everyday! Maybe not everyday. but I could do it every other day! I am a frequent sheep! We always get half and half. On my more recent sitting, I stay away from the spicy broth just because I can’t eat spicy things like I used to when I was younger. I’ll sneak some into my belly though! Both broth is delicious. Even the vegetarian broth. I still order with my eyes, just now, I actually finish everything I order! Shrimp, fatty beef and pork slices, mushrooms, fish, patato, etc. A nice list of choices. I never had bad service, the workers are always helpful and patient with me. I hope that your visit will be a good experience. There’s so many other hot pot but hands down, Little Sheep is my favorite. I eat it when I’m in Fremond, I eat it when I’m in LA, and I eat it whenever I’m in Cupertino. or Mountain View… anywhere!

This place is wow. The half and half soup is my favorite with the herbs and there was so much food my boyfriend and I couldn’t finish it all. We were advised to order 2 to 3 plates per person and did so it I think we would’ve been fine with 4 plates all together. The server was really nice and seating was nice. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and he delicious broth that I have never tasted anywhere else. Would go again! I look forward to it

I was very reluctant to go to this place because I went to Little Sheep before but it was in LA and it was AYCE. The prices scared me a bit but I always had fantastic times at Little Sheep so I went anyways. While the prices can look pretty steep, the portion they give per price is pretty reasonable. I enjoyed a lot of good quality beef that was fatty and oh-so amazing! I wish I knew what I liked because I ordered 5 different dishes of meat but they all came out at once for us so I can’t tell. I liked 4⁄5 of them. My boyfriend and I spent close to $ 80 to feed us till we were bloated and sleepy from food coma. 5⁄5 for food. I also ordered a plum juice thinking that it was plum tea. I couldn’t drink it cause I disliked it. Even though it was entirely my fault, the waiter at my table didn’t charge us for the drink! I was thankful for that. The service was very attentive and great for Friday night. It was packed and loud. I really enjoyed this place and will be coming back whenever I come up to NorCal.

Ok, so I’m like, really??? Little sheep place??? I love this original chain store from China and I visit every time I’m in the mainland. But to have it here in the bay seems a little ‘settling for second best’! Ok ok. I was wrong. Friend said it was Better than China and he is mainland Chinese and lives in Beijing. Sold! The meat’s better. The broth ‘cleaner’. The bbq lamb was amazing! Service was par excellence! Sold! Sold and sold! Just go lamb. Everything else is a distant second ;)))

Now that I have had hit pot in three countries I am starting to feel like I have an idea of what to expect. Then I walk into this place! The volume of ingredients to try is amazing and worth the trip. Is it the spiciest? Nope. With that said we can move on to the ingredients like goose, chicken feet, lamb, more mushrooms than I can name and all kinds of other stuff! Try it!

I don’t even know where to begin my review of this place. It was such a yummy and fun experience. We got here about 8:20 on Sunday evening and only waited about 10minutes to be seated. I was really happy to see our server was Henry. I read some other positive reviews where people had him as well so I was happy about that right off the bat. Like other reviews, Henry WAS most helpful. My husband had been here one time before so he knew how it worked but Henry explained it to me and helped us pick out our selection of cookie items. I wanted only the spicy broth after reading other reviews about flavor but Henry talked me into the half & half, and thank goodness he did!!! I would have died with the heat on just the spicy. As it is we scooped out a TON of chilies. I tasted both broths right when they came out and I was really surprised at how flavorful the non spicy broth was. I had read some reviews where they said there was only salt favor. I love salt and maybe there was a lot of salt in it but I couldn’t tell. I asked my husband and he said he didn’t think it was salty either. So there you go. We ordered: the garlic beef, the supreme beef, and beef meatballs(see a trend in meat choice?). We had chicken on the list but Henry suggested against it bc if can tend to be dry and tough. We also ordered spinach, dark lettuce(which is romaine– YES, romaine is good hot and wilted in soup), long little tiny mushrooms(forgot their Chinese name) and we also got the frozen tofu– which I think gets better the longer it sits in the pot. We took our time eating. Putting only one or two things in the pot at a time. I absolutely loved the non spicy broth and could drink it down. Especially towards the end when it’s flavored more from the meats and veggies. Henry had to keep refilling that side. There are TONS of big garlic gloves in both sides and the longer they stay in the softer they get and are sooooo yummy with the meat. The meatballs take the longest to cook. I would suggest putting those all in at the beginning with the tofu. My only complaint was that the garlic beef was in big slices and we had to ask for a knife to cut it into smaller more manageable pieces to cook and eat. But it wasn’t damaging enough to take a star away. We sat there for a solid hour in half and closed the place down. They were really nice when the restaurant closed and didn’t act in any way to push us out. Our bill total without a tip was $ 52. IMO, soooo worth it! I would go back again and again. Such a fun and yummy dining experience; especially just for two. Thank you Henry for helping us enjoy.

We went here a few weeks ago, we had a great time. Although we were confused, our server(Henry?), was super patient and without us even asking, started to explain the process and cooking times. Great service here! 1. We had the beef/lamb combo, lotus root, some mushrooms(can’t remember the name, but the tiny ones that look like little light post) egg noodles more veggies Everything was nice and fresh. Meat was very good quality. 2. Broth we got the half and half. Skip the non spicy one(whitish in color) kinda of salty not much other flavor. The«spicy» broth is were it’s at and don’t be afraid you can adjust the spiciness yourself by adding or removeing the abundant chilies, and placing them in a bowl on the side. Worked for us and we ending up putting the all back in. Although we aren’t really spicy folks, you don’t drink the broth rally kinda gets lapped up with items you eat. More like extra flavor. All all thus place is great for a couples to huge groups. I would love to come back with a bunch of my cousins!

I seldom dish out five stars for restaurants. This Little Sheep location deserves it. Certain times of the week there maybe a line outside. My family and I came on a weekday around 6p, and there was no waiting. After ordering, the food arrives fairly quick. The service is excellent. There are plenty waiters to serve you — not like some busy places where you get one stressed out waiter having to take care of several tables. The food — hot pot, is just phenomenon. The broth especially spicy version is loaded all kinds of interesting spices. The flavors dance in your mouth. You may accidentally bite on some pieces of spice, and the flavors just explode the mouth. They offer an array of ala carte dishes you can order to cook in the broth — seafood, meats, veggies, noodles, and plenty more. Dipping sauces are tasty and go well with the food. Some reviewers think the prices are high. Let me tell you this — this is not a place for a quick bite on a budget. The dinner bill for our family of four is seventy five dollars — every dollar is well spent. At some trendy restaurants we’ve been to, the bill can easily be a hundred dollars and we walk out not even satisfied. When we walk out of this place, my stomach is packed with an exceptional experience. P. S. One of the reviewers complained about being sick after have seafood hear. I’ve come here three times and ordered combination seafood every time — no problem for the stomach after. The seafood I got seemed fresh.

Little Sheep is addicting, once you have it, you crave it and want more of it. I been here many times and every time it has been enjoyable. The lunch special is the best value. For $ 9.99, you get your choice of meat and the standard veggies and your choice of soup base, usually half regular and half spicy. All the ingredients are fresh. The soup base is excellent, it has alot of flavors, herbs, garlic, peppercorn and a good amount spiciness. Does not include rice, bowl of rice is $ 1. The restaurant is very modern and clean. Staff is attentive and provides friendly service. Parking lot can get full quick. Luckily, there is plenty of street parking. If you enjoy hot pot, Little Sheep is a step above with it’s soup base and fresh ingredients. Once you try it, you’ll be hook.

This is my second time having«Hot Pot». The first time was Japanese style — One pot shabu shabu, and I thought it was decent, but after I tried this place, OMG there is no comparison, this place rocks!!! First, if you come after 6p, you will expect to wait over an hour, but it was worth the wait. I felt the core to a great hot pot is their base broth, their house special is so so good especially after we cooked the meat and vegetables in it. It is a chicken based broth, it was so flavorful with other herbs that was in it. We also tried the house spicy — OMG, if you like spicy, super spicy, it’s ALLYOU. We couldn’t handle it, even we scooped out all the chili peppers out it was still too spicy(see pic below). We had lamb and beef combo, they sliced it so so super thin that once it hits the broth, it breaks apart, probably not going to get their sliced meat next time. Their fish balls, fish filet, tofu platter, and veggie was great. Mussels was huge, rice cakes and glass noodles was a great compliment. We also had beef belly(牛肚), it really needs to cook a long time to make it tender, so for this hot pot experience, it really didn’t work, too tough. The base broth is re-fill able. The waiter is attentive and super nice, which you normally don’t get it at Chinese restaurants. They charge you $ 4 per person for pot use, kids under 12 is free.

This review is a little overdue… I’ve been putting it off, thinking maybe I should give it another try? But then, I think about the whole bevvy of other options I have(that, IMO, are better AND cheaper) that the whole idea of returning really turns me off. Luckily when we arrived, there wasn’t much of a line. While waiting, my boyfriend and I quickly filled out the menu of what we wanted to order. By the time our table was prepped, we had already turned in our menu, a bit excited because of all of the hype we had heard. I was a little put off by the fact that you were charged for every little bit of the hot pot(the broth, each individual vegetable, the dipping sauce, etc). To me, broth and dipping sauces are integral and should be complementary to the meal — but I guess the economy is hard and service was never really their goal(more on that later). A group was seated at the same table as we were(large table, so of course we didn’t mind sharing) and also submitted their order. Some time later, their entire order had come out while our table remained bare. No waitstaff came in to check on us or wonder why the hell we’ve been sitting here all this time with nothing to show for it. Finally, we manage to flag down a waiter and ask about our order. The waiter disappears to check on it — after about 5 – 6 more minutes pass — and the waiter returns to ask and make sure we really turned in an order. Well, we did… to the waiter that seated us. And I’m not really sure why we would lie about turning in an order rather than just ask for an order form but whatever. The waiter hands us another form with a «Sorry about that» and whisks away. Not that I need a heart felt apology or anything but you don’t think you could have remedied the situation? The service was then pretty negligent from that point until they brought the check and cleared the table. Finally, our food comes and, I’m not gonna lie, the hanger was real. The portions are absolutely tiny. The napa comes out in huge freaking leaves — I mean you’d think at the rate you’re charging for it, you could at least prep it some more? What are you even doing in the kitchen now? Additionally, I didn’t really think the meat was noticeably impressive or of spectacular quality. I was miffed by the terrible service, and not even an attempt to rectify the situation, the just-okay food, and the TINY portions. If you have read any of my reviews before, you’ll have probably noticed that as a tiny person, I eat smaller portions because I get full quickly. Here is a red flag — I was still freaking HUNGRY after eating everything on that table. What really got to me is that for this subpar, small meal, the bill came out to be $ 60 + tip for two people. I was still so hungry afterwards — we ended up going to Snocrave after and ordered a personal hot pot for $ 11 — and I actually think it was better than the hot pot here. If you want a pleasant experience — recommend heading over to One Pot. It’s shabu — so different style, but similar essence. The boyfriend and I can share a Sumo Size Kobe($ 24) with a vegetable upgrade and feel very full. The beef is incredibly marbled and beautiful. Service is infinitely better. You’ll leave satisfied without breaking a college student’s bank and without that saltiness that rises in the back of my throat everytime someone mentions little sheep. In short, I would not recommend. There are too many places out there that are way more deserving of your patronage. Perhaps I was unlucky with a bad experience — but first impression are important — and so is quality customer service.

Been dying to try Little Sheep from all the rave reviews! Came at 630PM on a Saturday and had to wait a little over an hour for a table. Welp. So tip: come early or be ready to wait! Once seated, boy was SERVICEFAST. Literally sat down and our food came! YAY! One thing I loved was that they had an electric stove, no fumes! Our party ordered the half normal and half spicy broth. Both broths were delicious and SUPER flavorful. All the spices blended so well together. Being a lover of spicy foods, naturally, I liked the spicy the most. I would say it’s about a medium/medium + spiciness level. Also caution: don’t eat the peppercorns or the other. whole spices floating around. My friends told me they make your tongue numb :( Anyways, what I recommend from my visit is: — lots of veggies! The veggies are so good soaked in the broth. — seafood variety platter.($ 13.50) If you’re a lover of seafood, the variety platter comes with four of: scallops, tiger shrimp, mussel, squid, and fish fillet. — fish ball with roe filler. I can’t remember how much this was but this was def my favorite item! They give you about ten or so fish balls. The roe filling is so yummy and unique! Get this! — tofu pods. They soak up the broth and become super flavorful! The only thing I didn’t like was there is a 4.00 per person pot fee which I’m guessing is for the soup. At the end, my party was stuffed and left happy!

I came here for a date with Owie on a Monday around 7pm and there was a 1.5 hour wait. It was super cold outside so like everybody else, we tried to stay in the lobby area and on the couch. We had the menu so we decided on what to order way in advanced. There was a lot of choices to choose from on the menu and the menu on their website had pictures of the food. We ordered the Half and Half(original & spicy)($ 3.95), American-style Kobe Beef($ 13.95), Fatty Pork Belly($ 6.95), Fish Ball($ 5.95), Napa Cabbage($ 3.95), Spinach($ 3.95), Baby Bok Choy($ 3.95), Fresh Tofu($ 2.95), Enoki Mushroom($ 4.95), BBQ Chicken Skewer($ 5.95), and Satay Sauce($ 0.50). That might seem like a lot of food, but it was actually just enough for the two of us. We sat down towards the back of the restaurant in a booth. The booths had high sides and walls so it helped with the chatter from nearby booths from being too loud unless they just talked that way. We were able to hear each other fine. Our booth had one stove and was big enough to hold all of the food we ordered. The two broths were good and the spicy broth was definitely meant for people who loved spicy. It had a little heat on it which almost made me cough a couple of times but that was just me. Regardless, I would still recommend the Half and Half because you get to try two different broth flavors. The BBQ Chicken Skewers were delicious just like the other location in San Mateo. Everything else was good and we were both full after we finished everything. I would definitely come back! Good place for some hot pot, but be prepared to wait a long time. They only accept reservations for parties with 8 or more people. Parking was very limited around the building(we got lucky with one spot in the back) so try to carpool if possible.

The broth is what really what creates this place outstanding. First time coming here and you start checking off a list of what you want. I have to say it’s the priciest hot pot I have spent but I did eat a lot. (Had on my big girl stretchy pants) I would recommend getting the house meatballs. CON: I wish they had more sauces.(Maybe that’s not the Mongolian style, but I would have appreciated things to dip my meat) For 3 people it was around $ 90.00… But maybe we’re just fatasses…
