A co-worker and I often have lunch at Sushi Hana so we obviously love it here. We always get the the peppered tuna roll and crispy deluxe and then add in either a spider, Godzilla, dragon, caterpillar, or Lion King roll. We are always amazed with how good our lunch it and leave very happy.

Really fresh sashimi, the steaks of salmon is delicious for their sashimi! Their blue fin tuna sashimi is also extremely fresh, they serve it in a smaller portion compared to their blue tuna though! Do give this place a try!

Very good. I tried the Firecracker and Philadelphia rolls. And the ice cream dessert roll. All very tasty. Definitely will come back

This Pleistocene amazing. I’ve tried sushi at over 200 places in the Bay Area and this is by far the freshest. Seaweed salads are made from scratch. I heart this place.

Bad service with servers or prep that can’t follow order request. I asked for no shrimp and the order came with shrimp. Portions are relatively small and sashimi is sub-par even considering the price.

Stopped in here for 30 minutes because I arrived early for a meeting. Got complimentary tea(genmaicha) offered with water when we entered. The raw fish here(I got salmon and yellowtail nigiri) were exceptionally tender and fresh. The rice was just a tiny bit on the vinegary side, but it didn’t detract. The eel nigiri was pretty good, but not amazing(sauce was a little lacking in flavor). The ambience is nice, and the waitress was polite. Overall, I would definitely come back just for the raw fish.

Been here a few times and the sushi is always very good. It’s never busy, which is super surprising. The service is very good as well since the waitresses are super nice. The service is pretty quick and food comes out fast. Overall, I’ll keep coming here!

Was carving some sushi, but wasn’t really a fan of the high prices at other places. Came upon this place, the sushi price was very cheap, but the quality was really good regardless. I ordered the oishi roll and the monkey roll, had to said I wasn’t disappointed. Love the oishi roll very much. Overall: Cheap place for great sushi. The service was okay, nothing to complain about. I would recommend this place for everyone who wants fairly cheap sushi with great taste.

Got a dragon roll to go($ 12 before tax) which was pretty good. Probably exactly average — no complaints and it was yummy in my mouth but nothing to freak out about or crave. The rainbow don my friend got looked kind of sub-par — small cuts of fish and a lot of avocado. The place was completely empty when I went to pick up my order at around 6pm on Tuesday. Owners/workers are Chinese.

As I was saying, my fave to-go lunch spot has a dine in peppered tuna sashimi salad with unagi dressing.

2 Item combination box with Teriyaki Salmon and chicken katsu. Okay I thought bento/combination boxes weren’t gonna be as pricey nowadays, and it actually wasn’t too bad, but considering the quality and quantity they serve, it kinda was. Salad was overdressed, too much rice for the proteins, chicken a bit too over, and salmon amount was the size of half my fist. However, service was great. I never had to ask for water refills and they kept offering even after we were done with our food. The menu is picture-less, which might make it harder for those who want to order rolls. They got my drink order right! Water no ice There was actually no ice in my water!

I went back and forth between 3 stars and 4 stars for this restaurant. This is more of a contemporary sushi bar that serves an assortment of rolls rather than a traditional nigiri/sashimi sushi joint. I ordered the tuna poke and the sushi combo. The plating was much fancier than I expected for a place like this. Both the sushi and poke were above average but the prices are a little high. I’m not sure if that’s a fair criticism as the prices seem in line with other NorCal sushi places for the quality i’m getting but higher than what I would pay in SoCal for the same quality. Ultimately I knocked the rating back down to a 3 star because the sushi rice was definitely lacking. I’m a big stickler for the quality of sushi rice because it’s literally 50% of the ingredients in sushi. Everyone goes on and on about the quality and flavor of the fish but the rice is just as important as the fish. Having it at just the right stickiness, texture, temperature, and with just the right amount of tang from the vinegar… it’s an art. Ultimately Sushi Hana was satisfactory but not particularly memorable

Overall: great sushi for the value. I went for dinner after reading a few reviews. It’s a small and humble restaurant but inviting and warm. I ordered the caterpillar roll and one of the specials. Presentation was excellent — two rolls on one plate and the caterpillar rolls had eyes and antennas. I’d expect this from higher end shops but for under $ 20 for both rolls this was a great value. Oh, and of course the taste was delicious. I’m taking my work friends here again this week for lunch.

Came here with my friends and was very pleased! Food: We ordered the Caterpillar Roll, Lion King Roll, Rainbow Roll, Dragon roll and nigiri. We also got the Rib-Eye and the macarons. I was extremely satisfied and loved the food. I normally don’t eat sashimi but it looked so good that I decided to try a couple pieces. The sushi was amazing and I was so sad when the last piece was eaten. However, the rib-eye quickly made me happy again. It was so tender and the flavor was incredible. Lastly the macarons were legit and I loved them. I would recommend the Pistachio flavor! All in all, just based on the food, I would come back for dinner any weekend. Service: The wait-staff was on-point as they were really nice as we didn’t know much about sashimi and needed help from the waitress. She was extremely helpful and didn’t chastise us for not knowing. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was a bit quiet but I actually liked it. The restaurant was very clean and was a good place to just hang out with a group of friends. Also, the bathroom was very clean which was a plus.

The first time I came here I would have given it 5 stars. I raved about it to everyone, but after a couple more visits of introducing people to this place each visit got worse and worse. Service was decent and pricing is a little too much for the quality of food. The Curry Udon was amazing the first time I had it. The next couple of times it’s been just gross. The noodles were too hard and chewy and the soup broth was so watery. It’s like that moment where you have to shove food down to not waste it. The sushi was ok, nothing great.

Very tasty!!! Wife got a combo box. Salmon sashimi was very good. Melted in your mouth they way it’s supposed to. I got the spider and crispy shrimp tempura. Spider was outstanding! I haven’t had a spider roll with that much meat in a very long time. The crispy shrimp tempura was presented very similar as the spider. The parking was packed. Had to park down the street. So be aware.

I’m not sure if this makes sense to anyone, but it definitely did NOT feel like I was eating at a sushi restaurant when I ate here. Maybe it was the lack of a formal greeting from the sushi chefs, or the fact that the rolls were more expensive the bento boxes. But hey, it’s not really a bad thing. Me and my friend wanted to catch up after some time and she chose this place(because of Unilocal). I arrived earlier than her and had a chance to browse through Unilocal and see what visually looked tasty. Unfortunately, that was tough since there were a bajillion things on the menu. I decided to pass on sushi because of its price and order one of the udon dishes. Unfortunately, there was literally only 1 picture for both the soup and friend udon, so I decided against that as well. While I was trying to decide what to eat, my server would come over to make sure that I had everything I needed and consistently came over to refill my water and answer any questions I had. I eventually decided on a bento box since 2 items for $ 11.99 sounded like a great deal. My friend on the other hand ordered the flaming dragon. Everything tasted good and the presentation itself was very appealing. Surprisingly, my bento box came out before my friend’s and wow, it was definitely a lot of food. We ate, we talked, and eventually she finished her roll while I was only done with half of my terriyaki chicken. I wish they gave more rice since I was basically done with all of my rice at this point. Overall, I’d come back, but would aim for weird hours since Little Sheep Hot Pot is next door; thus, taking up all the parking.

Came by for dinner the other night and noticed that the place is run by Mandarin-speaking folks. Started off with the miso soup which tasted different… it’s made out of a fish broth and was very creamy… Ordered the 3 item bento with a spicy tuna roll, tempura, and flamin wings. The spicy tuna roll was excellent! The spicy tuna was flavorful and the layer of rice was very thin. The tempura shrimp was excellent while the vegetables were mediocre… they weren’t fresh. …moved on to the flamin wings… which are essentially fried spicy wings and again… they weren’t fresh… eek! The rice seemed like Chinese rice and the salad was okay… more of a creamy salad dressing. Finished off the meal with a Spicy Rainbow roll which again had an excellent spicy tuna roll topped with relatively fresh fish… especially for a Chinese-owned place. There was some talent as the wait staff! ;) …they have TVs… but they weren’t turned on? ~$ 33 after tax and tip for dinner.

I’ve been here quite a few times now for dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them busy at night, so the service has always been fast and good. I mainly come here for their rolls with mango, which are very delicious. The atmosphere feels quite casual, but the quality the sushi is superb. I recommend their caterpillar(very cute), tropical(has mango), and rainbow rolls.
