We just left this place and the only star worthy things at this restaurant are the service and the view. Other than that, it was a complete disappointment. I’m also glad we did lunch and didn’t waste our money here on dinner. I ordered the lobster roll and when I put a bite of lobster in my mouth, I knew something was wrong. I then smelled it and it was totally rotten. My husband ordered a burger cooked medium that came to him rare. They did not offer to remake it nor did they offer to comp any part of the meal. Our waitress even tried to get us something and management said no. We also ordered the clam chowder and it was mediocre if I’m being polite. The thing that gets me is the oyster crackers were stale. I can’t imagine how old prepackaged crackers can be to be stale. The view of Sandy Neck is gorgeous and our waitress was absolutely wonderful. However, I can still taste the rotten lobster and am praying I don’t get food poisoning on my birthday. Sorry Harbor Point, but this local will not be going back.

Fabulous view; building feels like a private club; the food and service we’ve had have always been wonderful. They even noticed we had a dog in the car, and prepared a Doggy Bag for her. A VERY relaxing and pleasant time.

I was married here in 2008, and let me say this– I’m surprised to see some completely miserable reviews. While the place comes with its own set of pros and cons, Bob Borino, our wedding coordinator, was the best. EVERYONE loved Bob! He was nothing but available and accommodating to me on anything I had questions on. He held a special wine and hors d’oeuvres tasting for us at sunset, where we were really captivated by the beauty of the location. We were provided linens at no extra charge that coordinated with our wedding colors. The food was delicious, though we opted for stations over a plated dinner, even though there was no difference in price. The coordinator was very upfront with us about the fact that they will do better with stations over a plated dinner. I had the bridal suite at my disposal for the entire day, which my bridesmaids and I utilized to get ready in. There was endless passed hors d’oeuvres during our cocktail hour. Mine and my husbands champagne glasses were always full, courtesy of the venue. Bob Bornino as our wedding coordinator was truly a pleasure! And obviously, THATVIEW! That being said, there were a couple of things that came up– we were given a list of suggested vendors for a few things, and they were VERYRIGID about DJ’s, and we were only given the name of one person they would allow to work in the venue, and he was TERRIBLE. Nice man, but did nothing that he promised. That was a big flaw in our overall experience. But I wont get into that here, that is its own review in itself. Also, I was unaware that the shower in the bridal suite was not operational, and had to have warm buckets of water brought in from the kitchen to wash our hair for styling. A few guests commented that the owner, Bob Falanga, who has the affect of actor Vincent D’onofrio, was serving at the pasta station with his longish hair down, no hairnet, and in a Under Armour style red shirt. He is a VERY nice guy but probably shouldn’t be on the people end of his business. One of the big selling points of the stations were that we were told sous chefs in white chef coats and hats would be sauteing food over flame as almost in a culinary show for our guests, and that did not take place at all. The bartender, the owner’s girlfriend, ran interference to make sure guests kept their beverages inside when they stepped out for air or a smoke, and I’m pretty sure she offended my mother. She also came out and took my wine glass from me at one point, though was pleasant to me about it. A sign would’ve been more effective and less abrasive. Also, after the cake cutting, the cake wasn’t brought back in the kitchen to be cut and served, it was just done right there in the banquet area. These things could be an issue for people who care a lot about presentation and aesthetic. Even with all that, even in not getting things we were promised, we took the experience for what it was. You get what you pay for. And you CANNOT beat the price. Honestly it is a steal, and I’m sure is a blessing to a lot of people who couldn’t afford a formal setting otherwise. We are casual people, and while everyone wants their wedding to be formal, we were pleased with the relaxed feel of Harbor Point.

When my fiancé and I decided we wanted to have our wedding and reception on the Cape, we knew it would be a challenge to find a venue that would fit our price point. But the Cape is such a special place for us — and the site of our engagement — that we were determined to make it work. You can imagine our excitement then, when we came across the Harbor Point restaurant. They were the first place that said they could work within our budget and actually meant it! When our reception finally came around, it went off smoothly and beautifully. Rachel, our wedding coordinator at the restaurant, was attentive to our needs and requests and promised to make everything perfect for us… and she delivered. Rachel and the rest of the staff(under the supervision of the very nice owner Robert Falanga) bent over backward to make sure that everything came off without a hitch. We chose the stations with prime rib on one and pasta on the other. Our guests enjoyed the food and there didn’t seem to be much of a wait at the buffet line or the bar. The Harbor Point also has a bridal room where we were able to store our extra décor supplies, my makeup and personal items, and that had a bathroom I could use instead of the ladies room — such a nice touch! One of the highlights of the restaurant is its fantastic view of Sandy Neck. Even though it rained during most of our reception, our guests still raved about the view — especially those from out of state. I have only happy memories of our wedding reception and was so pleased that it was came off as nicely as I’d always hoped. If you’re looking for an affordable place to hold your Cape wedding reception, with a view of the water and staff that care about making your day special, you should consider the Harbor Point.

Had my wedding reception here. Bob was great to work with and the guests loved the food. We had the prime rib and did stations. I loved the tortellini too. Bob was really great with our guests and was accommodating to our needs. The view was great even despite the down pour that took place! The bridal room was also perfect for getting ready in with the girls. If you are looking for an affordable wedding with the biggest bang for your buck on Cape, choose Harborpoint you can not go wrong. Wedding was on 10.7.12.

I recently attended a wedding reception here. The bride and groom were married down the street at Long Pasture Nature Sanctuary and Harbor Point provided the bride and her entourage with a very nice room to get ready in before the ceremony. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and has an absolutely great view, so we were pretty excited for the reception. When we arrived back at Harbor Point, it was very disappointing. First, the air conditioning kept blowing a fuse, so it never got cool in the restaurant. Second, dinner service was awful. They were severely short-staffed, they ran out of the swordfish(even though the couple provided them with a count of each dinner choice), they never filled our water glasses throughout the night, and it was almost two hours from soup to main course. The servers were extremely rude and even forgot to serve one of the people sitting at my table! Thank goodness for the great company, awesome couple, and fun DJ!

Had Christmas dinner here and was really impressed. Having had many holiday dinners out at restaurants which usually suck(crowded, limited menus, lousy service and average food) this was a real surprise. This Inn is located waaay down a quaint Cape Cod lane and overlooks Sandy Neck and its famed lighthouse. They had a nice fire going in the large hearth and it was decorated elegantly for the holiday. We had a table overlooking the ocean view and with the snow falling it was Currier and Ives perfect. All of the food was great: authentic chowder, fresh salad, lobster tail stuffed filet mignon with bernaise was cooked just right. The service was a little harried and rough around the edges but it was effiecient and we never wanted for anytthing. I imagine its hard getting folks to work on C-day so I cut them some slack.

I’m not sure what the negative reviews of this restaurant are about, I think the reviewers might be confused. I was invited to a wedding here just this past weekend. As my guest has many food allergies, I called ahead of time to make sure that they could accommodate allergies(including gluten and soy), or, if not, if they would allow us to bring food in that he could eat. The owner/manager told me on the phone that they would accommodate all allergies, and to ask for him when we arrived. When we arrived, he brought us the chef’s menu and notes, which included all ingredients of each dish on the menu. Hugely helpful! Turned out my guest could eat everything on the buffet line with the exception of pasta, shellfish and some salads. No matter, he was able to eat a TON of food. The best part? When it was time to cut the wedding cake, the owner brought my guest a Gluten Free brownie so he could have dessert with everyone else. It was such a nice thing to do, I was so very thankful! I love establishments that take allergies seriously. I will return here happily, and will tell others about the wonderful treatment we received as guests– not even as paying customers!
