Cumberland House of Pizza

Most of what we ordered was pretty mediocre. The cheese pizza was a Greek style crust; the cheese was good, but the sauce was bland. The boneless buffalo wings were very spicy, but nothing special. The star was the roast beef sub. They sliced the beef right there and I think this is why it tasted so good. I asked if it was rare, and they showed me it was, but then they toasted it without asking me, so they cooked it back to grey. We also got a salad, which was fine, but nothing special. It has a bar so you can have a drink with your meal, but overall I was underwhelmed.

Great pizza, amazing crust, sauce. You truly don’t understand it until you eat it. The only downside is the wait, which is understandable because of the quality.

Been eating the Meatball Grinder for 20 years, never changes consistency and the BEST.

Great food! CHOP is a staple! Pizza is good and prices are very fair. We come here often or order take out.

Good family restaurant for sandwiches and pizza. I like the bar side with waitstaff. Not fancy but consistent and good atmosphere

The place was good. Food was too good. Especially The pizza crust was delicious. It was a great experience! I loved it!

We stopped in for pizza and wings. I was a little disappointed with the lack of wing flavors, but the ones we had were pretty good. The pizza was great! We’ll be coming back here for sure.

I’ve lived in Cumberland for over 10 years and still can’t figure out what the attraction is to this place.
The food is not good, the prices are average at best and the parking sucks.
It’s insulting to Italian food to call it that. The pizza is typical HOP Greek pizza. The meatball sub is nasty and the help is rude. My kids like it but I’m convinced it’s because it’s the cool Cumberland place to be seen.
I’ve eaten there a few times and get heartburn every time.
If you want good pizza shop food go to Supreme a mile or so north on Mendon.

Split an order of buffalo chicken pizza (red sauce), a large Greek salad, and an order of seasoned curly fries on a busy Saturday night. The girl who answered the phone seemed put out by my order, no idea why, but I’ll just chalk it up to it being a busy Saturday night and maybe she was having a bad day. I digress…
The food was ready quickly and I could see why, the cooking line at this restaurant operates like a well oiled machine. They were cranking out orders left and right. Our pizza didn’t thrill us, it was some of the greasiest I’ve had in a while. Like 3 paper towels per slice to soak it up greasy. Buffalo wasn’t very spicy either. The Greek salad was good though, three big giant pieces of feta, and the house made dressing complimented it well.
We did notice a little pub built into the side of the pizza joint, might be worth taking a venture back over there to see what that is all about. Probably will keep exploring the area for pizza options too.

Good house style pizza and great subs. This place has been around a long time and is always a great place to stop for a bite to eat. People who own the place are nice and most of the family works at the place. You don’t see that to much anymore

Standard pizza. They have a good variety of specialty pizza but there’s something about the crust that doesn’t make we want more. My friend raved about the chicken parm sandwich but the pizza was so so. I’d go back if I were in a pinch but wouldn’t seek it out. :(

One of the best places in Cumberland, the food is great and it has a nice atmosphere. The wall art in the pub is pretty neat

IV actually been eating here for a few months now and don’t at all regret it one bit its so awesome here and personable to I can remeber cheering American Farrow on winning his last and third race in chubs pub and the line cooks laughing along altogether a great place to come and eat

Pizzas are always great. Salads are fresh and well put together. A great choice for a quick well made dinner.

Best pepperoni pizza in town! Too bad they don’t deliver, but good enough that we’ll pick it up no problem.

I use to work in the area where this pizza place is located when I was in University.
They ALWAYS had the BEST pizza…
Fast forward 10 years + the 4 years I was out of the United States and I can NOT wait for my Cumberland house of pizza!!!
Will it still b as good as it has always been??? We will see!!!
Only complaint is that the girl who took our order did not know what a FROSTED MUG was when I ordered a beer… Not really a big deal!!! I find my mouth drooling as we r waiting for ALL the food we ordered to be ready!!! I hope it is as good as it always has been!!!

Food is very good but I gave 3 stars because the owners and staff are frighteningly rude and really don’t seem like they can be bothered to be there. I think alot of this staff needs to be fired and bring in some bright new faces that have better attitudes. In my opinion this does take away from the business, no matter how tasty the food. Love the food but hate ordering and picking it up because of the rude staff.

You can distinguish a Cumberland resident by asking them to pronounce this restaurant’s name. It’s Chops and it’s an institution. This place ranks among the town’s top dining restaurants. And, rightfully so.
At CHOPs, the food is always great. You know the saying, ‘where everyone knows your name’? Here, everyone truly does… even my parent’s former pastor once held office hours in the pub!
The pizza is fantastic (or so I’m told. I would love nothing more than a gluten free crust!). The hardest decision one has to make is which one to order. Everyone has a favorite — the Greek, the buffalo.
For the gluten-​free crowd, enjoy the greek salad. This has always been my favorite menu item and arguably it’s still the best I’ve ever had. It’s the perfect mix of ingredients (esp when you get chicken salad to top it off). CHOPs puts a hearty portion of yummy chicken salad. The serving is enormous and the price is good.
Back when I could eat bread, their hot turkey sandwich was a top pick. Every ingredient is perfect in this sandwich and its toasted to perfection. Please please have one for me!
The locals will tell you to bring a friend if you’re picking up takeout on a Friday or Saturday night. One person to wait in the car, the other to run in. The place is always busy!

Good little pizza place that is small on the inside and can get loud and crowded at times. Decent bar on the other side that is small as Well but Well stocked. Friendly bartenders who know there drinks and can suggest something.
The food is good something’s are better than others but there pretty consistent on it. Sandwiches I find are usually better than the pizza. The pizza can be a hit and miss at times. Guess it depends on who is making it. Though the crust is pretty decent.
Appearance for the most part is clean but sometimes can seem messy.
Overall not a bad place and can hold there own with other pizza places.
