Went with the $ 10 Choice of 3 Tacos for their Five Spice Pork, General Tso’s Tofu, Tempura Fish and enjoyed each enough. They have various social media & Unilocal promos for freebies, but none seemed to apply for pickup, so at least we had that $ 2 Eat24 code. Bit of seating was definitely taken on a very busy Saturday night.

Great fuaion of Mexican fare with Japanese seasonings and flavor. The The teriyaki beef burrito, which like another Unilocaler said, has a korean beef ring to it, delicious. and flavorful. We also ordered the fish tempura quesadilla. Also nice, but would prefer [the fish] in a burrito or a bowl next time, as I prefer not to eat my fish with cheese. A welcome addition to the nabe. Also a really wise decision to open their delivery to the rest of crown heights(I am off Kingston ave), unlike some of these other jokers out here… you know who you are! Food was delivered fast and still warm, happy happy!

I live close by and so when domo taco opened, I was happy that a Japanese restaurant opened here. I was excited to give them a try. So when I did, I was utterly disappointed. I was literally confused on what the menu offered, what is this again? In the end it’s really their staff treated me with such disrespect, I couldn’t even believe that they could be so mean. I’m over it but really it’s not okay. I left with feeling like I was a ignorant person who paid for crappy food.

Some things are great like the tater tots. Tastes like takoyaki but more filling! Other things are not. The salsa was pretty much just chopped up tomatoes. Also, ordering from Unilocal does not get you the special deals that you would get if you called them or used their own website. The tacos were ok. I’ve had better five spice pork. I think it’s more doable in the burrito because you have other things to add to the taste.

I’m reviewing for the delivery experience. The delivery guy brought it up to the apartment and these days that is rare. So that in itself deserves 1 star. The tots were great. Nice, warm and crispy. Normally this sort of thing gets all soggy when delivered but not in this case. I really like the presentation on the rice bowl. So colorful. The curry dumpling thing is really tasty. Everyone has got to try it. The burrito was a little underwhelming. Rice was on the cold side and very wet which made the burrito soggy. Other than that it was a great experience.

Bland and uninspired. There were menus for this place all over our building, I picked one up and thought the fusion sounded interesting and would probably be delicious. WRONG! We ordered bowls, 1– 5 spice pork, 1 lemongrass chicken. There was merely a faint lemon grass taste on the chicken, no flavor to be had anywhere else in the bowl, none. I finally had to put my own salsa on it to make it semi palatable and still couldn’t bring myself to finish it. My hubby fair slightly better with the pork, again not much flavor, but better. He got the extra«guacamole» which wasn’t much guac as it was smashed avocado. If you like flavor, or food in general this place is not it.

One word. Gross. and that’s saying alot because I eat just about anything. I had to throw away my burrito from this place. Still can’t get the taste out of my mouth.

Boom. Double Boom. This place is the nads. I got delivery(pork burrito bowl with guac…) it was a little cold when it arrived, but I live far away. And the price — whaaaaa?! WHAT joint in this«rough area» come Hipster Haven will deliver for under $ 15??? Domo will! Mad crazy props. The pork was obviously slow cooked in lovely spices, falls apart in your mouth and comes with everything you could want. My only hesitation is that all the tacos and burritos seem to have the same sauce and fixins — I hope they mix it up a bit in the future so it all doesn’t taste the same… But even if it does taste the same: yum-as-fuck!!! Kind of like a Midwestern girlfriend; you know exactly what’s gonna happen when you open the door, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious…

The tator tots are a must try. Empanadas are really yummy as well. Friendly customer service and good music.

Ehh. I have gotten take out from Domo Taco twice since hey opened and have never been impressed. Each time the meat is way too stringy, which makes it difficult to eat. The flavors are very weak and lack any defined flavor. Kimchi Grill on Washington Avenue has a similar style and much more taste in each dish, so next time I will most likely go there instead. Maybe they need some time to get settled, so I will reconsider trying Domo again in a few months.

Mexican and Korean are beautiful cuisines and their fusion is delicious when done well. This is not the case here. I won’t be coming back, as honestly the food was pretty gross. Clearly cheap ingredients, very little thought into flavor combinations, everything we got was covered with a cloying, disgustingly sweet plum sauce… Yikes.

The chicken nachos are disgusting! Overly salty and gross meat. And they smell horrible. This is not good. I’ll never order this dog food again.

Since I tried this place out last week, I’ve already gotten dinner from here twice! The first time, I ordered from Unilocal and went to pick it up, and the second was delivery. The things that attracted me to Domo Taco were a) the decent prices, b) the close proximity to my apartment, and c) how freaking good everything looked on the menu! Nothing about this place disappoints me. So far I’ve had the Tempura Fish Taco, which is so damn delicious, the Tempura Fish Burrito, which was seriously filling and I am thinking about ordering it again soon, and the Tempura Fish Quesadilla. OK, so I love fish — sue me! My favorite was the Quesadilla, because it didn’t mess around. It was so filling, it took me two seatings to finish it – plus it was under $ 10. That’s INSANE. Go to Domo!!!

One of the better Asian fusion taco places. Love the Japanese tots and the five spice pork burrito. The teriyaki steak is delicious too, not too sweet. Go with spicy, it tastes like the Korean red pepper sauce and does not burn. Friendly staff and quick service. $ 3 draft beers too!

I have lived in NY for years now and this is by far my worst food truck experience. I visited the Domo Taco truck at Metrotech in Brooklyn on my lunch break. What they sold me was a «quesadilla» but really a pule of mushy cheese and what might be pork? I am not sure. Literally inches of goo and slop. Waste of 8 bucks. Wish I still had that in my pocket.

I’m torn on this place. We ordered Domo Taco rather late at nice, pretty close to their closing time. We ordered on GrubHub, but then checked with the restaurant to make sure it was OK, and to verify the very long delivery time that showed up. The man who answered the phone was very nice and accommodating. For some reason(and I blame GrubHub for this, not Domo Taco), even though we ordered at 10:30pm and the restaurant closed at 11:00pm, the delivery estimate was 12:15am. I was able to verify from the restaurant that the GrubHub delivery man picked up the order a little before 10:50, and after calling GrubHub a few times, was able to get it delivered by 11:30. Still seemed like a long time for a restaurant a block away! The taste of the food was pretty good. We ordered 2 tacos, 1 chicken and 1 pork. While I can’t remember which was which, one stood out as more flavorful and the other was a little boring. We also ordered a teriyaki steak bowl. Unfortunately it was delivered as a teriyaki steak burrito, which we has specifically not ordered because my fiancé doesn’t like flour wraps. The burrito flavor was good, though, and I enjoyed it. We also ordered the japanese nacho tots, and those were really interesting. The flavor combination was very different, but seemed to work. I think overall, this is a cool fusion idea for a place and maybe I’d stop in if I was in the area and hungry. I probably wouldn’t order delivery again and I’d look elsewhere if I was craving great tacos. I would be willing to try a few of the other more interesting fusion items, since the japanese nacho tots were tasty.

Glorified junk/drunk food. This is my 2nd time giving Domo a shot and unless I’m inebriated, I won’t be back. Had the Japanese tots twice: fine the first time(nacho cheese, kewpie mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, pico de gallo etc), 2nd time the frying oil tasted really old and bitter. Had the pork, steak and fish tacos… Worst part of the meal. All tasteless blobs of meat with identical cold, not fresh ingredients. Sriracha wings were the best part, but how can you mess up wings? Crispy and hot and fine. Service is V whatever. Steer clear if you’re sober and hungry. There are many other better options on the ave.

So the actual taco truck has 3 stars and that seems about right for the food. I subtracted another star for the décor. I like interesting food. I love eating out. I love Mexican food. I love Japanese food. Domo Taco totally rubbed me the wrong way. You know that scene in the old Apple commercial that’s supposed to remind you of 1984 with people all in a line looking depressed and this giant head looming over everything? That’s kind of how the décor and lighting of this place is. Greyish mental hospital colored walls don’t really make me feel welcome(long story, don’t ask) nor do they make me feel particularly hungry. Stopping in on a restaurant’s first week usually isn’t a good indication of how the food will be but if anything, it should be when the staff is excited to see you. Especially when the place is empty. But that’s not how it went on my visit. The people were aloof and not at all helpful even when I specifically asked for help. The food was also super disappointing. I ordered a pork taco at the suggestion of the cashier and the nacho tater tots. Neither were particularly good. If you put a gun to my head, I would choose the tater tots as the better dish, I guess. The tater tots sounded SO interesting with hints of okanomiyaki and nachos on top of tater tots! What’s not to like? The actual taste, is what. It was overwhelming with the cheese and the bonito flakes and the tonkatsu sauce. I would much rather have had all the sauces on the side in retrospect. The pork taco was maybe worse… I think it was supposed to come with other stuff but it was a giant plop(yes, that’s the right word to describe it) of what seems like sloppy joe mix from a bad elementary school cafeteria on a tortilla with nothing else. In the end, I think I would rather eat the vintage clothes that used to occupy this space.

I really wanted to like this place but I honestly hated everything about my meal. Loaded fries– they were alright but nothing special. Essentially, regular fries w cheese wiz, some ground meat, an egg, scallions, jalapeños from a can, and mushy pickled radishes. The tacos were pretty horrendous. –Extremely messy to eat. Let’s start with their godawful tortillas. They were tough and had a texture of cardboard. Each taco was doubly wrapped in those things. This wouldn’t be necessary if they didn’t pile on all the unnecessary. All tacos are drizzled w gochujang(Korean pepper paste) which threw me off bc they had no business being there. Did not taste good and they should heavily consider removing it. If it were a gochujang based sauce then I’d be a little more forgiving but no, it’s straight up gochujang from the jar. The protein for the tacos needs work. The pork had an unsettling taste. The beef resembled jerky bits which I deemed inedible and threw out. The fish was the best of the three. Price did not justify the quality of food. I love supporting young businesses on the come-up so I hope they’ll be receptive enough to make some changes to their menu.

Mexican meets Korean meets Japanese. The flavor twists to the tacos, nachos tots and fries is ingenious. Tried a bunch of stuff with friends and nothing disappointed me. The tots were crispy and loaded with nacho toppings. The fries were also crispy topped with a running egg. The tacos were full of flavor and textures like the crispy pickle lettuce. The quesadilla were cheesy and the pork filling was tender and flavorful. The passion fruit frozen margarita is a must try too. The staff were nice too :)
