Crescent City / Redwoods KOA

We love this place. Lots of woods and shade. Nice people in office. Free hot showers, 3 in each bath. Laundry. Very clean. Cute cabins. Hookups full and partial, pull throughs. Close to attractions. We spent 4 nights in our trailer. Really quiet. Dog area. Highly recommend!

We parked our rig in the back part of the forest. My kids’ spirits immediately went out of the roof the minute they got out of the truck. They played in a huge tree stump for about three hours. We felt safe letting our 5 year old twins run around in the forest and around the campground. We had such a great time and really enjoyed the campground. The owners were very informative about day activities and the area around. They were extremely helpful and friendly. One of the owners took my kids to feed the goats. They got a kick out of that. The showers were clean and had super hot water. We would definitely come back to this campground. A+!!!

Absolutely beautiful, stayed in space 901 a small clearing among the redwoods. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Had a little trouble finding our spot but eventually did. The only drawback was people in the next site walked through our site as a short to the bathroom, kind of rude

Throughout my childhood my family and I camped at cheap campgrounds found usually across the street from a KOA. This was my first experience overnighting at one. I can honestly say that as a result of my stay, I will gladly return and recommend KOA for a great night’s stay.
I utilized the standard cabin which offered one queen sized bed and a bunk bed for the kiddies. Each bed came with a mattress which I was actually surprised to find. I had prepared myself for a more Adirondack style bed setup with a plywood platform provided to sleep on. I guess that after all those years of scouting in the PNW got me acclimated to roughing it.
Another great perk was the price and availability of firewood. For $ 10 the owner would bring you a wheelbarrow full of hardwood well seasoned firewood plus an armful of smaller kindling and scraps to start your fire. I think this is great because, really, how often have you gone camping and forgotten your hatchet and couldn’t make kindling. Great job KOA.

This is an absolutely beautiful campground. I stayed in a one room cabin which was set into the redwood forest. Within the forest itself you can see giant stumps that are the remnants of the old growth trees that were cut down long ago (when we had not yet learned to be good stewards of these giants).
Check-​in was quick and simple and the cabin and site amenities were in good condition. It was nice to find movable benches at the cabin’s fire ring. I’ve stayed at several KOA’s and this was the first time seeing them. We were able to purchase firewood at the campground store and enjoyed making s’mores under the stars (Ghiradeli salted caramel chocolates in place of Hershey’s)! The showers and restroom facilities were kept clean and stocked and access was controlled by a security keypad (code provided at check-​in).
Overall a very nice KOA and located conveniently to many local attractions.
