I usually do not write reviews but this place blew my mind. I use Unilocal to find restaurants that i am wary about going to and this was one. I’ve been wanting to try this place since it has opened but didn’t because the last place wasn’t that satisfying. But let me tell all you Italian cuisine lovers… GETOUT&TRYTHISPLACE … the food is outstanding and the place has an awesome vibe. Fresh pasta dishes(and they offer half portions, so i tried two) witch are to die for!!! escarole & beans? who would of thought of that? Tuna Puttanesca? forget about it… fantastic… I tried them both, also had this chicken dish that comes out in a sizzling cast iron… UNREAL. I don’t know the chef but he definitely is doing it right. its an open kitchen so you can see everything happening. Scratch kitchen i assume because everything tastes amazing. The place is my favorite right now … besides the food the staff were attentive & knew their wines(the wine list is not huge but it has great italian wines… i was liking it!!!) i can’t wait to come back with my wife !!!

First I’ll start by saying service is on point. I’ve eaten in the dining room and at the bar and both times amazing service. Secondly the food is amazing. The fresh pasta is delicious and the salads are to die for. Went a night they had a filet special and it was terrific. Staff very knowledgable about the wine which was nice since I’m not. Restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated. Can’t wait to go back and try their lunch and brunch!

We purchased a $ 50 coupon for $ 25 from a radio ad and decided to try it out. We ordered a baby kale Caesar salad with anchovies(to my wife’s delight). It was plenty to split and was fresh and crisp. She ordered Cioppino, an Italian fish stew which was supurb… 3 Scallops were the size of my fist, little necks, shrimp, mussels and whitefish in a delicious light broth with chunks of tomato and onion. very flavorful. I had the«brick chicken» which was started on a Himalayan salt block on a gas stove and transferred to a cast iron skillet and finished in an oven. This was served with rabe and roasted fingerling potatoes in the same skillet. This was served in a sauce with capers… Absolutely delicious ! The kitchen was open to the dining room so you could watch the chef making his presentations. He certainly knew his craft. There was a brick wood burning brick oven for pizza. We saw one go by and it was thin crusted and looked good. The service was right in the money. I thought the prices were a little bit high but that’s the only criticism I care to make. I don’t usually make long tedious reviews but I just kept writing. Sorry… 4 star for now,(until I go back to try the pizza).(-:

At a funeral reception recently. Food was cold and not very appetizing. Only Penne All Vodka was good. Chicken Masala was tasteless

LOVE this place! The service is great and the food is better. The meat & cheese platter is an excellent starter for those who like to share and nibble. One of those places that after you are done eating, you are so content you don’t really want to leave.

Had dinner at Cucina Rustica last night with great friends. Honestly it was the most delicious meal I have had in a very long time. Even my husband was overwhelmed by how much he loved it. Our server Kate was marvelous. They even have flavored lemon water served as you sit! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant on Atwood Ave in Cranston. Gina and Kelly will treat you right. Also, nice bar area to mingle.

So I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now… I liked it when it was La Rosa’s…but what a mistake. I don’t know how this place gets such a good rating… cus the food is nothing to leave home for… I got a special which was seared scallops over risotto, first of all the scallops weren’t even cooked through… and second the risotto was like wallpaper paste, absolutely no flavor all, I didn’t even finish it… it certainly wasn’t worth the $ 27 they charged for it. My mother got the sole franchise, which was ok, nothing spectacular, didn’t care for sauce that much though. The menu is very limited, didn’t really see and that jump out at me, not to mention the only had 1 veal dish. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars was fit the service, that was the only good thing about the experience. Don’t think I’ll be going back there

Want fresh pasta outside of Providence? This is the place to go! Cucina Rustica employs a pasta maker who comes into the restaurant every night to make fresh pasta for the next day. I’ve had two pasta dishes so far and both have been delicious– I can’t wait to try the rest! Even better– unlike other Italian restaurants that think quantity is better than quality, Rustica offers half as well as full plates of pasta so you can enjoy their raw bar, great selection of apps, or order several half orders to share with the table. Comfortable atmosphere, great service, and great wine list. Be sure to check out Manja Mondays and Wine Wednesdays for discounts!

Went to visit my friends at Cucina Rustica last night. As soon as you walk in the front door you feel at home! The fire from the brick pizza oven in the exposed kitchen catches your eye as well as the beautiful décor! It’s such a chic rustic Italian feel that makes you want to explore every inch of the menu and indulge in the homemade pastas and endless selection of wines! If you’re trying to learn more about pairing wines like I am, check out the wine pairing recommendations listed after each course options. You don’t see this at many restaurants, and nothing makes your food taste better than a savory wine to compliment the flavors of the dish. nicely done! If you’re in the mood for a delicious homemade pasta, I highly recommend the white bean, escarole, and pancetta dish with homemade rigatoni and a side of garlic bread… I literally couldn’t stop! No matter what you pick, you won’t be disappointed from the owner to the head chef, their passion shines through in everything they do! Any of their regulars and newcomers will tell you that! Hopefully you’ll be when of them soon too!
