Caffe Itri

The food is pretty good, but I am not a fan of the look of the restaurant or the décor. If that doesn’t matter to you, give them a visit.

Had a party of 4 with reservations for Friday at 6:30. We were bright to our take immediately. Loved the new décor, a good sized menu with many choices. Had the best gnocchi I’ve had in a long time, great service, the waiter was very attentive, even the manager came over to make sure everything was to our liking. Just a little loud in there

We arrived at café Itri Monday night after 8pm. Even though they close at 9pm we were greeted warmly. We were not rushed at all. The ambience is pretty romantic. Perfect for our date night. We were given a small table near the window away from everyone. We shared the eggplant rollatini app. It arrived pretty quickly and was steaming hot & delicious. I ordered the ravioli and my boyfriend got the fusilli chicken asparagus. Both plates arrived at the table piping hot. Our food was delicious. I’m eating the leftovers as I type. The portions are great and the service was wonderful and they have one of my favorites wines by the glass. Couldn’t ask for more!

Sat at the bar. Had great service. The grilled scallops were cooked perfectly and the beet salad was delicious. Paired it with a pint noir

If you enjoy a loud, noisy environment on a Saturday evening, this is a place to plan to visit. It was our first time to eat there, my wife and I and two friends. We waited and hour and fifteen minutes for our food to be served. Honestly, the food was just fair to good, but not a very good value as the portions leave something to be desired, pasta is an inexpensive item for a restaurant to purchase isnt it? One would think it might be a bit more plentiful on your plate. We all decided this was going to be our first and last visit to Café Itri. I initially rated it a B, our friends a C, I have changed my rating to a C+. We will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You would be much better served by going around the corner to the Italian restaurant on Park Ave. whose name begins with an M.

The food here is always very good. My only peeve at any restaurant is that I want and expect my and my wife’s food to come out at the same time. Not five minutes or more apart.

I read the bad reviews of others but went their anyway. We found it to be very nice and the staff was excellent and took very good care of us. The food was excellent also. So you can’t believe everything you read. Some people expect way to much and would not be happy anyway. Will definity be going back.

Came here last night with my bff. Had a fab time. Food was very good. Sat at the bar. Never did get our bartender’s name but she was good. She & the bar back were right on top of things. I only wish I had known my glasses of wine (I asked to sample a pg) were $ 12 a piece. I would’ve ordered the bottle instead of paying $ 36 for 3 glasses.

Outstanding! Incredible place. Have been here several times and was impressed on each visit!

Beautifully renovated Café Itri. Atmosphere is charming and romantic with Italian music playing in the background, white table cloths and excellent head of house and service A! The food was delicious. Be sure to try the Itri egg rolls… different and delicious, filled with brocolli rabe, sausage and cheese and a delicious dipping sauce. Great cocktail menu along with a nice wine selection. Vanessa, our server was attentive without being overbearing, and the hostess even came to our table twice to make sure everything was perfect! Sorry I waited so long to try it again! Will definitely be back soon.

Went to Café Itri with a party of 12 to celebrate a family members birthday. I’m not sure if people have been there in recent years but it has been beautifully remodeled.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their appetizers, I tried some of the Farmers Special which is a homemade focaccia in a bowl topped with a ragu made up of cannellini beans, prosciutto, red onion, among many other things. The creamy broth that’s produced from the slow cooking of this ragu is delicious and soaks right up in the focaccia. I also tried the Itri egg rolls, consumed in two bites, I highly recommend the dip accompaniment that is served with it.
Dinner was spectacular per usual, I shared the Itri Pasta which was a «kitchen sink» pasta with exotic mushrooms. Capers, olives, onions, and other deliciousness mixed in.
Café Itri never disappoints and has been consistently great over the years. With the new renovations, the décor and ambience now matches the food! Also, one of the cleanest restaurants both inside the kitchen (heard from someone who used to work there) and the public space as well.

The roasted red pepper appetizer is wonderful, especially if you love harsh cheese!
I love that it’s a good quality Italian restaurant with gluten free pasta. I wish they had gluten free bread to bring to the table. There is nothing worse than watching everyone else eat the delicious focaccia and you have nothing. Places need to start catching up!
However, wonderful. Our waitress was so friendly and on top of everything!

My wife and I went again last night with both of my kids and their significant others, and once again they did not disappoint! We ordered an assortment of five different appetizers to start and they were all terrific, from the calamari to the fried mozzarella. The waitress paid very close attention to us making sure that everyone in the group had drinks when they wanted them, bread, etc. The entrees were well portioned and very tasty. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food that you will get. If you want a really fun waiter ask for Ryan … He’s terrific! We did not have him last night, but we will always request him moving forward.

Absolutely delicious! I can’t say enough! Not just about the food, but the service. My boyfriend and I went there last night to celebrate our engagement. Ryan was our server and he was pleasant, accommodating and whitty. My boyfriend had the fruitti di mare, and I had the gulf shrimp and mushroom risotto. DELICIOUS!!! We split the calamari and smoke mozzarella app. Again… DELICIOUS! Then we ended our date nite with the crème brûlée and tiramisu. Everything was fantastic and a perfect way to celebrate our engagement. We will definitely be going back and will ask for Ryan! He was the best!

When you step into Caffe Itri you’re transported into the old world charm of Italy. The décor is classic Italy with beautiful ironwork placed strategically throughout the restaurant. My family and I have dined here many times and I’ve tasted most of the items on the menu. The seafood is among the best I’ve ever had, in particular the swordfish and calamari, which are cooked and seasoned to perfection. The staff is always especially friendly and accommodating. My daughter loved Caffe Itri so much she had her Bridal Shower and Rehearsal dinner there. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about the beautiful atmosphere and the delicious food! If anyone wants to experience what a taste of Italy is like, I highly recommend you visit Caffe Itri.

I can’t even began to say how much I love this restaurant! I’ve moved away from RI, but I often come back to visit my family and Caffe Itri must always now be included in my visit. My family is from Italy, so I know what Italian food is supposed to taste like and Caffe Itri hits it right on the mark! Every item I’ve eaten off the menu is fresh and cooked to perfection and the desserts are made from scratch. I love the ambiance, it’s beautifully decorated and very romantic. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to go back!

Pretty disappointed. I can’t say how good or poor the food is because we were never served. Came in at lunch hour. Seated quickly in a mostly empty restaurant, so we thought we would be able to pull off a quick lunch. Much to our dismay, we sat with menus for fifteen minutes before simply changing our mind and leaving the restaurant. A table of six came in about ten minutes after we arrived, and they had drink and lunch orders taken before we were even greeted by our waiter or waitress.
Surprisingly, no one said a WORD to us as we walked past them to leave the restaurant. Not even a «have a nice day» or «thank you». Well, thanks for nothing. We will not come back here.

Great ambience, absolutely love the renovation. The bar is three-​time bigger then before. Food is absolutely delicious, a true classic Italian kitchen. Everything is fresh and made to order. Fresh pasta, grill pizza, and made to order sauce truly makes this place a true Rhode Island hidden gem.

Wow! Caffe Itri has one of the most defined decors among Italian restaurants I have been to! The neighborhood is surrounded by Italian restaurants competing among each other in terms of outdoor/​indoor designs. I asked the manager who designed the restaurant (newly renovated) and he said that the owner is in construction business. No wonder it is outstanding! Design is fancy but not overly done unlike some restaurants. The outdoor seating is suitable for romantic dates, birthdays, and family gatherings. It is a combination of light mood, fresh air, nice umbrellas, music, and good food!
I ordered Penne pasta which I didn’t finish because serving is huge. We started with Smelts fritti which is a fried fish dish. Not a big deal actually but service was professional and Anthony, our server, surely knows what he is serving. He offered to get me a complimentary drink which I refused because I am not much of a drinker but I was shocked when he didn’t charge me with the desserts! He basically complimented the desserts instead :)
Next is the housemade roasted bell pepper which was cooked just right. I expected that it will be soggy but it turned out fine. My friend also ordered chicken sortellini which is topped with mozarella cheese with tomato sauce. Sauce was so tasty and obviously just did not come from canned tomato juice.
This is a hidden gem in Cranston neighborhood. Will be back to try some more!

This is a quiet, good Italian food, great service restaurant. We sat behind the bar area in an outside but covered extension to the dinning area. Cute little twinkling lights are nicely placed throughout and soft music plays. Wearing jeans is fine for a relaxing evening, this is not a fancy establishment.
We ordered a steak special. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and everyone loved it, much sharing was had!
Our server was friendly and turned up the heat for us with no problems as we were one of the first for dinner.
