I almost feel bad giving them just 2 out of 5 stars as the staff was not rude, the food was not bad, and the ambiance was not offensive in any way. But overall, the experience was just unexciting. The grilled pizza’s were OK, though I’ve had better, and the marinara on the pasta was akin to decent banquet quality. The facility is small and the bar area overpowers the rest of the restaurant a bit, with a small deli area stuck in the middle.(Even the deli selection was mediocre with just a handful of standard cold cuts and a few mayo-based salads on display.) But with its deficiencies, I still might find reason to drop in for a beer and a quick lunch if not for the prices.(Twelve dollars for a dozen clam cakes.) For a neighborhood deli, it ranks OK. But I feel there is better out there.

When I first went into Christopher’s I was simply expecting a few deli sandwiches on the menu & not much more. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu — lots of typical RI fare, clam cakes, littlenecks, stuffies, etc. The food was good(I mean, no 4-star restaurant crab cakes, but good & presented nicely). The ladies working there were VERY sweet and accommodating, too. They seem to have a lot of special events(beer pong, anyone?), and some outdoor picnic tables, which is always nice. All in all, I know the hub’s & I will be going back. solid menu, good food, great service, and a comfortable place to hang out and watch game!
