Fun bar and restaurant centrally located. They have trivia, karaōke, bingo, and more! The bar is very busy and has a nice crowd during the week. The food is pretty good and the bar staff is great! I had the penne vodka. It came out quickly and was very flavorful. They ask have an option to add a protein to it. My wife had the turkey burger and that was good as well. They have a good beer selection, but don’t have harpoon(which is why this is only getting 4 stars). Overall, great place, and if you are looking for a fun bar to go to this is a great choice!

have been coming here off and on for a while but just recently started eating here! boy I’ve been missing out — they have excellent soups and the chipotle chicken wrap is awesome — a nice light dinner. I also like the penne vodka(with chicken) pasta is cooked just the way I like it — not super mushy. The food tastes and looks fresh, not like its been sitting around.

Place is not that great. Won’t come back. Service is slow and it’s pretty small. Loud. Music is awful. Some good things is that the food isn’t terrible. And it’s open late. But other then that it’s not the best go somewhere else to have fun. It’s a waste of time to come here.

Actually worse then I remember from years ago. Everything was frozen reheated and lacked flavor. The service was very slow and it took 10 minutes to pay my bill. Had high hopes to try after they switched owners but total let down.

Went here with a group during one of their comedy nights. Majority of the comedians were terrible and awkward. The drinks were a sham. I ordered two mixed drinks and both times I felt like they forgot the alcohol which was much needed to tolerate the«comedy». I did not even get a buzz. I ordered the bourbon wings. They were tasty and that’s the only reason I am giving this place three stars. They do not even have parking to accommodate a full house. The place was not even packed and I had to create a makeshift parking spot.

Stopped by for lunch midweek. Service was good, had no issues during our visit. I ordered a hamburger, medium well. Meal was good, fries were above average, pickle was fresh(crisp). Would stop by again.

Waiting nearly ten mins before leaving due to the servers lack of interest in making money. Place is also dated and in need of a deep clean as it smells a bit funky.

Came here nearly 10 years ago and it was awful. I heard recently that the restaurant had changed hands a while back, so I decided to try it agin. Unfortunately, this is the kind of restaurant that pre-assembles salads and refrigerates it on the plate(shudder), a huge culinary no-no that dries out the salad. Any self-respecting chef should know that, and how the owner allows this kind of thing is beyond me. Had bangers and mash(i.e. sausage and mash). Mash was unseasoned and tasted like smushed boiled potato that had no cream or butter. Sausages were cold and overcooked? How could that be? But it’s true. It’s like the sausages were cooked earlier in the day and(barely) re-heated — tasted like they were microwaved. 5 stars for the service, which could not have been better. Oh, and the bread was good, too. Skip this place and drive 3 minutes down the road to the best restaurant in town, Molto Bene — a superb restaurant where you will never be served dried out and unseasoned or cold food.

The bartender never checked to see how our food was and left us with empty glasses for a while. Felt completely ignored. He was too busy playing dice with his loud, drunk friends.

Meh is the appropriate word for here. Seems like it is a good place to just come hang out at the bar and have a drink or two. I had a chicken sandwich last time I went. The bun was stale and fries were cold. Very interesting combo. I feel bad because the staff was nice and their drink prices weren’t bad.

I have been here about three times. Pasta night is good, with nice sized portions and good prices. Our last experience was not so good. We sat at the bar for food & drinks & the bartender on duty went missing every 10 minutes. When she was there, we had to get her attention & ask her for another drink or to order food. After asking her for things about 4 times, she didn’t even ask if we wanted anything else when we finished our meal-another drink, coffee, dessert, etc. Aside from last time, our other experiences were good. Will go back in spite of the service.

If you are traveling along route 130 as we were and happen to be hungry for something casual this is a winner. At least it was for us. With a couple of kids in tow. Standard pub fare, but lots of televisions in the bar where we sat and watched a couple of key football games simultaneously. The bar was quiet and the kids enjoyed their own table, but no beers for them. Or for me I was driving. My house salad was fresh. Dressing on the side the way I prefer. Lettuce clean and crispy and chilled. Hamburger perfectly executed. Lettuce and tomato. Unfortunately only two tiny pickle slices. I wanted a few more. French fries also good. Waitress was pleasant and everything drives on time. If I lived in the area I would probably hang out there occasionally. But don’t drink and drive.

The wife and I dined here years ago when this place was called Cranberry Station. It was primarily known for its seafood options. I wasn’t really a fan back in the day so when my friends from the South decided to have a Thanksgiving weekend get together with some other friends, I was a little apprehensive. My wife and I arrived an hour early and decided to grab a drink and a few apps at the bar; good scotch, good wings. The service and friendliness of the staff started at the bar and continued throughout the entire dinner service. We were a pretty large party, 12 adults, and 7 kids so we were seated in the rear of the dining room. The divider is usually closed, but since everyone was out shopping Friday, the place was pretty quiet. The staff at the dining room decided to close the doors to the room as the little ones in our party started to get restless and wanted to roam. Which was a blessing to the other patrons, and the parents in my party. I split the Spicy Tuna appetizer with a friend. I was really surprised by the taste, and presentation of the tuna. The wings I shared with the wife at the bar earlier were pretty good as well. It made up for the horrible wings at I had at Red Hot & Blue earlier in the week. Majority of the party ordered French Onion soup and everyone was pleased. I was one of five that ordered a burger. A simple and safe meal, but if someone messes it up it can make for a horrible dinning experience. Well that was not the case on this night. I have to say that was a pretty decent bacon cheeseburger. Except for a few dishes, everyone was pretty happy with their dining experience. I completely forgot about this place, well I pretty much wrote off as a highway stop for truckers and motorcyclist. It is located right next to a gas station on route 130 in an industrial area. It would not have been been my choice for dinner, but since it was a central location for everyone; it worked. Chalk one up for fate.

They advertise«ice cold beer» but that’s a big lie. We tried tap and bottle, and cold, but not ice cold. Hardly any one else in the place, but we had at least three different servers waiting on us… never sure who was coming next. Large portions, but nothing spectacular… just seemed like a diner that serves drinks. Needs an update from Restaurant impossible.

Went in on a Thursday for a beer and a bite to eat to watch the NBA playoffs on a Thursday night. I was the only basketball fan in the place but they were quick to change the channel at my request. The décor is showing it’s age but I was impressed on how clean it was in the bar. Everyone seemed to know each other — local hangout Good choice of beers, nachos were just okay, burger was good, service was great. It’s nothing that will blow you away but a good slice of Americana.

Took my family for a late afternoon lunch. The food and service were both decent however, the prices were very high, especially for the kids meals. For 6.95 my son got cheese raviolis but no drink. Since they did not offer apple juice my kids each ordered milk — turns out a cup of milk is 2.95!!! One side has a bar with TVs, the other side which is close enough to the bar has no TVs — its a TV kind of place and I was missing games. As others have said there is not much in the area, but, for the price, I’ll make the 20 minute ride to applebees when we want an «out of the house» family lunch

We have been to Station twice since moving into the area. The atmosohere is a little unspectular, but don’t let it fool you. For the price you pay, the food here is wonderful. The staff is very nice. The owner was even kind enough to sit down and talk to us for 5 minutes when he found out that we just moved into the area. They have specials almost every night and what seems like a great activity lineup at the bar(including scategories on Weds and karaōke on Thurs).: We are hoping to make Station our go to hangout and would love to see you there!

My expectations for this establishment were admittedly low, given the lack of decent restaurants in the immediate area within ten minutes of my parents’ place. We ate here on a Monday evening, where there were a few other patrons. The menu and décor reminded me of an average Jersey diner near where I live in the northern part of the state. Prices are at the upper end of the diner scale. Accordingly, I would say that the food quality is on par with such diners. I had the French onion soup and a Smothered Burger. The French onion soup and fries, which maintained their crispness for the duration of our meal, were above average in my opinion. The burger was not cooked medium as requested and was certainly well done. At $ 8.25 for a platter, however, I would not penalize this restaurant for that particular faux pas. While most diners rarely ever achieve the correct doneness in any case, the food would have earned four stars had the burger been done to my liking. The broiled seafood platters were as expected, if not a bit pricey. Bread, to our surprise, was served warm rather than at room temperature, which is always a bonus as many diners do not serve bread warm. If this restaurant were in Hudson County, I would steer clear away from it and instead head to Coach House, Brownstone Diner, or Jersey City Diner. However, given its actual location, it should at least be worth a try for people who live nearby.

Drenched from the short walk in tsunami-like rain from my car to the restaurant, I walked into Station Bar and Grill for the first time, and it was freezing. The hostess said«If you think it’s cold in here, it’s even colder in there,» pointing to doors leading to what I assumed was a private party room. But there was no effort to change that. So there I sat, in my wet jacket, waiting for my friend to arrive. And when she did, she thought the room was freezing, too. We asked the waitress to raise the temperature, and she refused. I asked if there was a manager available, and she wouldn’t get him. So began our odyssey at Station Bar and Grill. Once upon a time, when this was called Cranbury Station, it was a restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a separate warm and inviting bar area. The food was mediocre, but the place was nice. But that was then. Now, the décor is the same, though now dated, but the lighting is bright and harsh — a perfect setting for the cold temperature. The combination is less than ideal. The waitress did her best to steer us away from the chicken dishes we were each considering, saying that the seafood was really great. We’d been deliberating between two chicken and the broiled crab cakes, and yielded to her not-so-veiled eye language. What a mistake! But first: The menu had the size, look, and plastic-coated pages of a Greek diner menu; this was confirmed when I paid the check at the register, handled by the suddenly-present manager, who seemed to have a Greek accent. Entrees come with soup or salad. My friend passed on hers, but I was hoping that some soup would warm me up a bit, so I took hers along with my salad. Though the waitress had said that the soup — beef vegetable — was salty(which I’m very sensitive to), it wasn’t salty at all, and it was really delicious. It was obviously not canned, and had very little beef, but a lot of firm veggies. The bread was also terrific, and the salad indeed looked like it was filched from the nearest Greek diner, minus any feta cheese or olives. It did have onions, carrots, and a cherry tomato or two, along with the iceberg and a bit of romaine. Ah, but the crabcakes. That is, the breadcakes. Two mounds of stuffing, with a slight crab flavor from the phony crabmeat and cod mixed in with the breadcrumbs/croutons. No seasoning, no taste, no real crab. A total disaster. At least the veggies served with them were fresh, unbuttered, and cooked just right, but the mashed potatoes, though real, were flavorless. You could have rice instead, but you’d sacrifice the veggies, which I thought was weird. At $ 19.99, the broiled crabcakes, combined with the lack of ambience and the creepy service, make this a restaurant that won’t be on my dance card any time soon.
