There was a long to be expected wait on a sunday. Our server was really werid, or maybe was just having a rough morning, she kept asking what did you want again. Instead of trying to miss boss and remember it, write it down like EVERYONE else. and the food was sub par, nothing to rememberable been to better places.

American Kitsch insanity! I have to be in the mood for this place to go here. It’s not an everyday thing, but super fun for comfort food. We especially like it with the kids when we travel. The store is half the fun! Everyone loves it and there is always something cool & interesting for each of us! Kudos to the buyers who have to pick for all ages all types of folks. Our 10 year old loves the old fashioned toys & candy, our 15 year old loves playing oversized checkers in the patio rocking chairs. I love looking at the jewelry & accessories and the hubby finds plenty of interest, too. Now for the food… it’s NOT health conscious. If you wanted THAT, you’d be elsewhere! This is a calorie turbo charged splurge! My son’s favorite meal is the chicken pot pie. We all love the biscuits and I’ll buy extra for home. Hubby likes the chicken fried steak and there plenty of kid fare for the little ones. Me? I absolutely LOVE the Coca Cola chocolate cake! It’s out of this world chocolate madness! Wow! If you’ve never gone to this chain, you owe it to yourself to have a go. Just don’t plan on staying on your diet!

Now for the best part. the food… i just love that it’s comfort home made food. I really enjoy the pot roast that has been slow cooked for 18 hours. can you say melt in your mouth! And the breakfast. I never had«gravy» likevthis before… Now my mouth waters just thinking of it! Its creamy with bits of there smoked sausage in it.yummy. There hasbrown casserole is a cheesy delights. All i can say is that you wont be disapointed, and your not leaving hungry!

My first time at Cracker Barrel and it’s definitely not for the health conscious but it was much better than your average breakfast place. The set up is completely difference from what we’re used to. You enter in a store and shop around until they call you. They serve you their own pancake syrup and its hot which is a nice touch. Hubby got biscuits, grits and gravy. Nothing we would ever order but you got to try it once. If you’ve never been, it’s definitely worth a visit. Oh and they had some kind of potatoes with cheese that tasted JUST like risotto! That was my favorite part.

Somewhat surprisingly, there are good options for breakfast here that don’t make you want to never eat again. I had scrambled eggs and a small biscuit, with a very good iced coffee. Can’t beat the price, and the food came out quickly.

If you’re in the mood for comfort food, look no further than your nearest Cracker Barrel. This particular location in Coventry, Rhode Island provided exceptional service with lovely down home style cooking. The dining room with the ginormous fireplace was reminiscent of a log cabin in the woods and provided much needed warmth from the 30 degree weather outside.

We’ve been a few times. It’s nice to go to a family oriented place that has quick service, consistent food and reasonable prices. The hand battered fried chicken is really good! Battered fresh and seemingly cooked to order. It’s the special on Sunday every week lately. As new parents with a young baby that still stays in the car seat, we eat here sometimes just because of the boards they have to set the car seat on. None of the usual rickety upside down high chairs!

Very good food and service at this Cracker Barrel location — which is a pretty standard experience at this chain breakfast restaurant and store. It’s always neat to browse their little country store as you wait for your table. I give them an extra star above the average mark because they were very sweet with one of the kids at the table. It was the child’s birthday that day and after the meal, they brought out a surprise chocolate cake for all the kids to share with a heaping spoonful of vanilla ice cream. They also sang«happy birthday» and were very thoughtful and fun. I’m sure this is a standard practice at this chain restaurant, but it felt very heartwarming and generous for them as an added extra touch to our breakfast experience. Overall, good portions, quality food, and sweet/caring employees that make this particular location shine.

This is my go to spot if I’m really wanting to have a good breakfast, I know it’s a chain and yes I like to sell out every so often lol. Big breakfast if you are very hungry, lunch and dinner, I have not had the chance to try the dessert here it does look oh so good. Another thing about this place is they have a gift shop for all your needs. Definitely a place to go if your hungry

CONFESSIONSFROM A CRACKERBARRELVIRGIN For most of my life, the words«Cracker Barrel» were associated with reasonably-priced but delicious cheese. Growing up, I didn’t even know there was a restaurant/country store with the same name. Apparently it’s big in the South, but as a Northeasterner, it was news to me. I had never even seen one with my own two eyes until I saw the one by the Wrenthem Outlets. Its existence in the state of RI was a mystery until about a week ago. Apparently, I live a sheltered life. A couple of colleagues invited me to a casual dinner with them one night after work at this local Cracker Barrel. Having heard some very mixed reviews over the years, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I assumed the food would be mediocre, but outside of that, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. The actual store was really neat! There are lots of fun and quirky items for sale. I loved a lot of the interesting home décor signs and such. I didn’t even know there was a store involved in the whole Cracker Barrel universe. I just thought it was a Southern style restaurant, so this was actually a nice surprise. The restaurant itself definitely exudes that country feel. The fireplace was roaring – an excellent touch on a chilly night. The laid back vibe translates right into the simplistic but comfort-food-centric menu. They serve breakfast all day, but I decided to go with the Chicken Fried Chicken. It’s a standard breaded chicken cutlet that is deep fried and then topped with a cream gravy. Although it was perhaps a tad on the salty side, and maybe even a little dry, it was pretty decent. It hit that deep-fried chicken craving I had at the moment. The mashed potatoes(I had these topped with their brown gravy) were good. I also tried the mac and cheese which was satisfying, although definitely not the best I’ve ever had. It met my expectations but didn’t surpass them in any way. The cheesy grits were a disappointment. I’ve had cheese grits before with the cheese mixed right in. These grits were not really seasoned at all(I’m not a Southerner, and maybe that’s just the way, but I’d love some seasoning please!) and the cold shredded cheese was just sitting on top. I’d pass on these in the future. My entrée was served with both a biscuit and a corn muffin. Both were mediocre, but still did a fine job complementing the rest of the meal. Service was slow but friendly. I waitress was very nice but she disappeared for a while and my thirst was under-quenched until she finally reappeared and provided more water. I’d say for my first(and possibly last) Cracker Barrel experience that it was pretty much what I expected. The food was alright, nothing too thrilling that would bring me back, but I suppose if I was invited again I wouldn’t be against returning. I just don’t think I’d seek it out myself in any way. Cracker Barrel Ex-Virgin, over and out…

Comfortable, inexpensive, kitschy.. . We recently decided to stop by for breakfast after an absence of several years during which we had become regulars at a couple of places closer to home. I guess we’re really afflicted with the RI bug that makes it challenging to drive more than 15 minutes for anything.. . Well, let me say, nothing has changed at all in the years since our last visit. Walking through the gift shop/general store with its candies and knick-knacks and gew-gaws to the hostess stand, a greeting by a smiling hostess, the dark wood paneled dining area, all of it the same as before. The menu is classic comfort, and I opted for a Double Meat Breakfast, which has Three Eggs cooked to order with a full order of Bacon and Smoked Sausage Patties. Served with Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits and my wife had Two Eggs n’ Biscuits. Service was quick and pleasant; I liked that they assumed we were going to have coffee as the server had it in hand when she initially greeted us, so we didn’t have to wait even for that. The food was good, warm and filling. Price was very reasonable, about 2⁄3 the price as our usual breakfast place, and I have to say there wasn’t really a big difference in volume or quality. We’re definitely going to try to put this place back in our breakfast rotation, especially if we need to go to the nearby Walmart Supercenter in the future.

I wish I was able to give this place no stars. Horrible experience here, the food was horrible along with the service. Not to mention I usually enjoy a cold draft beer with my lunch and they serve no alcohol. This is not the reason why I thought the place was horrible, I understand its a family restaurant, but I thought the quality of the food was terrible and the shop was over priced. It would of been nice to see a smile here and there from the staff.

I’ve eaten at many different Cracker Barrels in several different states and have never been disappointed. I am amazed at how consistent this establishment is in terms of service and food. I always have extremely friendly and prompt service and the food always arrives in a timely manner, hot, fresh and delicious. At the Rhode Island store in Coventry, we showed up with a party of nine during a busy Friday night dinner service. We were seated in 10 minutes and every single person loved their food – no complaints at all! The waitress was very friendly, kind and professional. I can’t think of any other large chain restaurant that provides this level of service and food at an extremely affordable price. Even though the closest Cracker Barrel to my house is over 100 miles away, we still drive there just because we know an absolutely delicious meal is awaiting us. Lately I’ve been hooked on the double egg breakfast with country fried steak, grits, biscuits and hash brown casserole. I also love the pot roast and fried cat fish. They also serve breakfast all day! Thank you Cracker Barrel!!!

The fried shrimp with hush puppies were awesome! Perfectly breaded and fried with a just spicy enough cocktail sauce. Perfectly baked biscuits and corn muffin. Macaroni and cheese side is amazing. The staff at this Cracker Barrel is friendly and helpful. The restaurant store and bathrooms are all nice and clean. You can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel!

As a kid I would love coming here. But now that I’m older I keep having bad experiences. The last time I went I was with my ex. The bottles of syrup are so freaking small and if you ask for more they charge you. So I needed more to drink and I don’t know where my waitress was so I flagged down another waitress and this waitress acted like our waitress! So then the original waitress brought us the check and my ex wanted a drink. The waitress didn’t even ask us if we were finished. So my ex said that he wanted another drink… So get this. The waitress who had been MIA the whole time and brought us another check and charged us for that drink! I was so angry and upset that I spoke to a manager and told them what happened and they took the drinks off the bill. Well consider that my last time Cracker Barrel! And this was may 2013! I’m not coming back if I’m ever in Coventry area I’ll go to olde theater diner or Denny’s

A good stop after a long New York City trip. We arrived around 10PM to a virtually empty store. Our waitress seated us promptly near the crackling fireplace and took our orders quickly. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves till a few late nighters came in also. It took a while to figure out what we wanted due to the large breakfast and lunch/dinner selection. In the end we settled for breakfast. I got the double meat pancake breakfast and my girlfriend got multi grain french toast with a side of turkey sausage. Both were decent and we finished them right up. Speedy friendly service makes this trip to a chain restaurant a great experience. Also afterwards we were able to browse around the general store which makes Cracker Barrel different from your typical places!

Stuffed full of biscuits, Apple butter, and sausage gravy… good olé country breakfast — served up ALL day, in fact. I still am uncomfortably full two hours post-meal as I write this review. But only because I don’t EVER eat a plate of eggs, three corn muffins, sausage gravy, hashbrown casserole, bacon AND grits all in one sitting… oh — and the apple butter(by request, only). Hearty meals that fill you up and leave you NOT wanting more. Solid, heart of a America meals like chicken fried steak, meatloaf, and chicken with dumplings, and breakfasts galore at prices under $ 10. Service was decent and food came out quickly which made for easy in ‘n out with the three kiddos and my husband. Cute little country store featuring candy, toys and all sorts of other goodies outside the dining room. Certainly not fine dining, but a fine stop for a quick and hearty meal right off Route 95.

Tasty food but service can be a bit slow. It gets very busy, so don’t expect to rush in and out. The store at the entrance/exit is fun to browse in and they have some unique items. The hash brown casserole is yummy:) This brings me back to the South and good memories with friends:) I don’t get to go here often but I enjoy it who I do!
