This location has gone down hill in the past several months. It appears the management team has been changed and I’m sure that must be why. I love the food and I am a regular customer at several locations so I know that usually the customer service at The Habit is excellent. Today our order was made incorrectly and when my husband tried to resolve it he was treated very rudely and disrespectfully by the manager on duty named Kevin. This is the closest location to us but if we get poor service one more time here we will have to start driving a little further so our Habit dining experience can once again be pleasant.

Went in today. Had a great experience. Tasty char burger in a lettuce wrap. Fries were much better than what I expected and I asked for ranch which was buttermilk and delicious. They had peppercinis and jalapeños at their bar. Two employees checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Restaurant was clean, not too crowded. Had a very positive experience.

Ordered online… Picked up my order which included 5 different burgers. Only one was made right. Had to add most of the condiments ourself. Paid for cheese and it didn’t have it on the burgers. The girl at the counter said«we didn’t understand your online order so we just put what we thought on the burger, but we can fix it», after waiting 10 minutes for something we ordered online 20 min prior it was so not worth our time. Hello! If you have the online service available u and your cooks should understand the ticket. Not worth the $ 45 spent. Would have much rather had In & out

Good place, good value, give InNOut a run for their money on their burger IMO. The owner/manager seemed pretty nice and he seemed to treat the employees good which is unusual for a fast casual restaurant.

Always great to come here. The staff is very nice, and if there’s a line it moves fast! The teriyaki char is my absolute favorite, as well as their sweet potato fries.

Really nice location, everything is clean and well organized and the girl working the register, Hayley, gives the best customer service experience I’ve ever received at a casual dining restaurant

You have to pay over the phone to place an order for pick up? That’s stupid ! I live down the street from here and refuse to give my cc # to someone who is taking the order in Texas(out of state call center takes the orders) for them to input it into a computer and have it breached or compromised for a $ 3.99 order.

They have THE best service I’ve ever experienced. Their staff is so friendly and attentive. It doesn’t hurt that their food is delicious, either. Other Habit Burger locations should aspire to get on this Habit Burgers’ level.

We were craving the habit so we stopped by. Upon entering at about 11:15am today, there was a large box truck and about a half dozen bakery racks blocking the front door making it hard for the customer to enter. Not a good first impression. Waited about 10 minutes for a cashier, the bad impressions continue. There was no one up front. Got the pager and told the manager about the need for a cashier and the front door clear. He responded«I know, you don’t need to tell me that». Excuse me? You talk to customers that give you a job like that? If I don’t need to tell you the obvious, then why is there no cashier and the front door is blocked? This is basic customer service and common sense. Asked for a refund and the manager just plopped the money in my hand and didn’t say anything. Fail

Wow, just wow. Greeted at the door, quality friendly service and just really hitting the spot with the quality food. I mean seriously, the food is so good I’ve surprised myself that I actually put down my double dank char burger to write this review. I’m going to have to cut this review early so I can continue this life changing revelation of a meal. Good god.

One of the best hamburger joints around just had a double char cheeseburger with onion rings. Always consistent and the customer service is good

I’d never been here before. I like the salad and chicken options and the burgers had options like sourdough and avocado. They also have strawberry lemonade, which was good. The fries are ok — not bad but not amazing. The burger was good not amazing. I still prefer In N Out, even if they were the same price. But In N Out is cheaper!

Ordered a charburger without the tomato, mayo, onion, or pickles(aka just lettuce). I know, I basically didn’t order anything at all but my plain ol’ burger was still pretty good — Crispy buns, shredded lettuce, and juicy meat. It’s also pretty cool watching the people in the kitchen making them. This will be my alternative to In n’ Out.

It’s unfortunate we didn’t have a great experience, because I’ve heard good things about The Habit. TASTE(1⁄5) Is it just me, or are the burgers bland? Everything was slightly below average. Kinda like«nice try, but no.» Their flavor wasn’t spectacular or new or even a good traditional burger. CUSTOMERSERVICE(1⁄5) We primarily came here to get the«Donate $ 2, get a free charburger for free» deal. After ordering, we forgot to get our certificate and donate the $ 2. Once we got to the cashier, the whole team was trying to figure out how to give us the certificate, and they soon gave up and said, «Can you stand on the side, so we can take this customers order first?» …huh? We waited in line like everyone else(even twice) to be helped. If your customers aren’t worth your time, you’re not worth ours.

Every time I watch Bob’s Burgers I want to stop by here. When I do, no Bob nor Linda though. Sigh. AMBIANCE: Modern, welcoming and always clean. FOOD: I always get their Original Char with Cheese and a side of regular fries. I can’t say the rest of the other items because I don’t feel like trying. I have tried their Santa Barbara style burger and sweet potato fries. Otherwise, their cheeseburgers always satisfy my ground beef cravings. Oh, make sure to get their peppercinis on the side! SERVICE: Although not a table-service restaurant, the employees are always friendly. Plus they do not judge me when I ask for one(or two) thingies of ranch. Overall, The Habit is definitely a step up from fast food burger places.

I love the Habit! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is great. Favorites: The chicken club is my go to item in the menu. Grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, bacon and avocado on sourdough. I love their sourdough bread! Sweet potato fries: so delicious! Just try them, trust me. Charburger: one of the most popular items on the menu. Tastes just like it would if you were grilling at home. Super fresh-love the chargrilled taste and can’t beat the price. The Habit also has great Ranch dressing is you are a dipper. Quality food, great prices.

My buddy and I have been eating here after running the OC Marathon the last couple of years. It’s starting to become our tradition and reward for finishing a marathon. I prefer coming here over eating at an In-n-Out. Although my favorite and pretty much the only item that I order is their Double Char, they have a more extensive menu than just a Double Double and a hamburger. However since the Double Double is an excellent burger and a favorite burger of a lot of people, I will use it as a frame of reference for this review. I get my Double Char with raw onions and add cheese. It’s a slightly bigger burger than the Double Double. I prefer the taste of it over the Double Double, which tends to be very salty. So if you’re used to In-n-Out, you might find their burgers on the bland side. I usually get the burger as a combo, so it comes with fries and a drink. I also prefer their fries over In-n-Out’s fries, which I’ve found unappealing every time that I’ve ordered it. From time to time I’ll substitute the fries with green bean tempura. For my drink, they have other options besides the usual soda pop. They have a few different flavors of tea, but I’ll usually get their strawberry limeade. So if you’ve grown tired of eating at In-n-Out, give this place a try!

Not bad! Tried out this place for the first time on Sunday. Parking was ample enough, and there was a short enough line where we ordered the grilled chicken Ceasar salad and #2(with bacon and American cheese) and was in/out of the line in 5 minutes. Service was good, but they were pretty busy. The busser that came around was very polite and helpful. Everything was clean, and we didn’t have any issues with tables being grimy or chairs having sauces all over it. When our order was ready, our buzzer buzzed. They had a nice condiment section with jalapenos, pepperoncini, pickles, and, of course, ketchup and napkins. Because hubby ordered the #2, it came with fries and drink, which he filled with the strawberry lemonade. It was unexpectedly pretty hot on Sunday, so the strawberry lemonade(with hints of cucumber!) was extremely cool and refreshing. Not too sweet and not too sour! Overall, will probably be back! While my salad was good(and I didn’t feel fat afterwards), I REALLY want to try out the burgers. Hubby would not stop salivating or saying how good the burger is. Of the bite that I did take from his burger, it had a nice charcoal/smoky flavor, with the entire taste of the burger molding very well together. Very unique and distinguishable taste. And, as they grill the inside of the buns, yum, it had a nice crisp to it. Note: while they can dish out the orders pretty quickly(I think we waited around 10 minutes after we had ordered), this is a combination between a quick-service and restaurant dine-in. It does remind me of In-N-Out, but with a bit more of a calmer atmosphere.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about The Habit. You know, comparisons to other great burger chains and all that. When I finally got around to trying them, they were a bit of a letdown. I went for a modest lunch of a Charburger($ 2.95) with American cheese(+$ 0.55) and french fries($ 1.95). The burger wasn’t dry or anything, and it was fairly satisfying, but there wasn’t a juiciness or a flavor«oomph» that you would get elsewhere. Mayonnaise isn’t that powerful a dressing, and I didn’t even notice the caramelized onions. The fries were crunchy, but they weren’t very flavorful or fluffy. I can think of many other fast food fries that I’d pick over these. I don’t see myself trying them again. Their basic burgers and fries don’t impress, and the sandwiches are too pricey. That’s right, In-N-Out is definitely better, and I’d give Five Guys that overdue second chance first.

I ordered the Original Combo which came with a «charburger», fries and a soda. I paid about three bucks extra to get cheese and bacon on the burger costing a total of $ 8.95. The burger patty was chocked full of gristle, dry and lacked any beef flavor. The bun immediately collapsed upon picking it up. The cheese tasted like over-processed velveeta. The bacon was flavorless and had the consistency of plastic. When I first felt a piece of it in my mouth, I took it out of my mouth because I thought that a piece of plastic was in my burger. Really. The burger was subpar. The fries were dry, lacked any potato flavor and tasted like cardboard. This place is definitely not«habit» forming.
