Cash only! This place was so good. My noodle dish was like a hybrid between ramen and phở. I’ve never had anything like it but I’m officially in love! Maybe it’s cuz I’m an uncultured white girl, but I’m still not sure what to even call my soup. I ordered a #68 seafood noodle dish. Everything was super fresh and piping hot. I added some soy sauce and hot sauce {available at the front counter} and *BAM* even more delicious! I’ll be back y’all. P. s. Might I add it’s super inexpensive, around 8 $ and the customer service was on point too.

Not a good experience eating here. Fried food that I ordered seems to be a reheated food cooked the day before. Not crispy at all. The siu mai dim sum wasnt good at all.

Got a boba drink. Boba very hard. Drink ok. Would not return. Don’t know about their food. I don’t think I would try the food knowing how bad drinks are

I wanted to try all the restaurants in the Mitsuwa Market food court and Sky Express was the only one left and today was that day. Looking at their display case they have a wide variety of food from japanese omelettes to chinese dumplings which is nice since other spots in the food court is mostly noodle-centric dishes. I ended up ordering the bbq pork omelette since it looked so appetizing with decent price to match. When I went to order there was no one there but she eventually came from the back to help me out. From what I remembered she looked like she was ready to clock out and seemed uninterested and didn’t want to be there, it’s the food industry so it was understandable. The good thing was I already knew what I wanted so I didn’t get the feeling of being rushed. The bad thing is they sure take their time preparing your food, I know they gotta do it right but my drink was already finished and thawing on the counter while they’re doing their thing in the back. The older lady came out and said«Number 7068,» my number was 68 so I went up asking which plate was mines and showed her my ticket and she just said 68 back at me while pushing the plate towards me. Taking the plate back to my seat I noticed it was shrimp and thought I came up since it was a free up grade. The first bites were decent since you can get a little bit of everything from the egg, shrimp, rice and gravy on your spoon but after a couple bites I was already tired of the flavors. The gravy was so salty and had to be mixed with the rice to balance the salt while the shrimp wasn’t special at all. Good thing it was a mistake on her part because I wouldn’t want to pay the full price for the shrimp bowl. Back to the gravy, when eating most of the gravy goes straight to the bottom of the plate and is absorbed into the rice but the gravy is so potent it makes the bottom portion of the meal inedible. In the end I only ate about less then half of what they gave me due to the saltiness of the gravy. Safe to say I didn’t get my money worth at Sky Express and probably won’t go back there ever again.

The counter and display of this place may look cluttered and distracting in comparison to its neighbor’s zen”-ish, minimalistic décor but if you can look beyond its neon signs and wide array of boba samples on the counter, this place has pretty good food. I have tried their tofu dishes, BBQ chicken with price and pork chop with rice. All were really good and I truly enjoyed the meals. If you don’t feel like waiting forever for a bowl of ramen or smelling like curry after the meal, come over to this small Chinese food place.

Mabo tofu was gross. The plate was oversaturated with sauce and the rice was hard and old.

Definitely not the best option when you’re at mitsuwa market. But if you are craving Chinese food, this is the only place in the market for it. The wait is a bit long and it’s also kind of pricy. I got the sweet and sour chicken. At first it tasted good and okay, but afterwards, the batter kept falling apart and it became really greasy and not that good. It came with a side of siao mai and even that was greasy too. Maybe the drink here would be a better option?

It is just ok. If you have carving for Panda and you are not closed to one. Sky is the alternative! They offer wonton soup, beef noodle, chow fun and even dim sum. Not bad in a food court. The good thing is that they cook every dish so it is very freshly prepared. Price is fair. Parking is bad, watch out during busy lunch hour. PS. Across from Bristol is Halal Guys! Try it.

If I could, this place would get no stars from me. The old lady in the front is rude af. She gave my friend attitude when he was ordering our drinks, I went back up to see if he ordered the right drink and she gave me attitude as well. Then once I got my drink, it was wrong and of course she was still giving me attitude. She probably was talking shit about me with her worker. I can tell, she was complaining right in front of me. Dont order from this place cause she’ll only be rude to you as well. Plus, that’s not Japanese food. I came there to experience Japanese food not that.

This place is usually fine. My parents enjoy having this while I have ramen, they enjoy getting the chow fun and the clay pot rice dishes and sharing with me. Both taste good, even though the flavor and oiliness of the chow fun can be consistent every time we order it. The clay pot is my favorite since you can get the burnt rice at the bottom like you do with Korean dolsot bibimbap. Last time we went though really ruined this place for us. It took them over 30 minutes to get the clay pot rice to us. Not acceptable. We even tried canceling the order and it took the cashier a while to know what we were complaining about. No need to go to this place when there is great, consistent Japanese food in the same food court.

I ordered the beef chow fun ~$ 9 and a side of fries $ 5.35(what?!!). The chow fun order was big and had good flavor. The tender beef slices were a nice portion. The fries were hot and crispy. It was enough to share amongst 2 – 3 people. I guess I had a better experience then most.

Conveniently located in the same food court as the ramen place, I had to stop by and get something to drink Taste — I ordered the milk tea with lychee jelly and it honestly wouldn’t have been bad if it wasn’t for the overpowering tea taste and 120% sweetness. It ended up being so sweet, I couldnt finish. Service — 2 stars because it came out fast! All in all, bad place for lunch in my opinion

Cash only which is like the other eateries in Mitsuwa. Tried the coffee jelly and honey boba milk tea. Should have been a sign when the cashier gave me a look and asked if I’ve had it before: to which I replied I’ve had it at Half & Half. But when i asked him if it was the same or different from Half & Half, he replied that he didnt know because he never tried their own boba! The milk tea tasted ok but the coffee jelly was hard and the honey boba was tasteless. Will definitely stick to Half & Half next time!

Seriously… the fried chicken wontons saved this place from getting a zero star review from me! I ordered the hainan chicken to go and all i got were chopped up pieces of bones! Nothing worse than having to fish out small sharp and hard bones from a mouth stuffed with chicken and rice. It had to be one of my worse eating experiences. They even gave me chicken neck! Gross! Im not lying when they i say they gave me ALLBONES. No chicken breast pieces what so ever!

I tried the crispy noodles with beef here and it was absolutely dreadful. The sauce/gravy was bland and had a weird consistency. The meat didn’t even taste like meat… I couldn’t even eat more than a few bites. Should have known not to go to a Chinese food place inside a Japanese super market. Bummer.

It’s time for 0 star reviews. This place is terrible as I witnessed in the back very dirty. We ordered the noodles they were very mushy and salty it’s clear they were not cooked today. I asked the rude lady what fruit was fresh she said everything while she sells me something from a frozen bag. I asked for a cup of ice for a soda after buying three drinks she told me we have no ice. The machine broke!!! I held up my Thai Ice tea she just sold me which ice in it. You’ve been warned

Convenient. Tons of Chinese food and drink options in the mitsuwa food court. From dim sum to Chinese snacks to full on meals this place has it all. Tons of drink flavors from milk teas to slushes to juices and many more. The options seem to be endless. Large portions.

Came here to order shrimp chow mein with sauce and asked them if they can substitute chicken instead of shrimp and they took my order. It was $ 1.50 less than the shrimp dish. Loved it, again.

I usually come to Sky Express for the milk tea boba. The milk tea itself is thicker than other places, and I really like that. The boba is on the harder side, but that’s okay. I have tried the wonton soup, and it was pretty average. Also, have tried their dim-sum style dishes. To me, it tastes like it was reheated. The reason why I come here mostly is because it is cheap, and I don’t want to wait 10 minutes to order ramen next door and wait another 15 minutes to get it.

**smoothies/Ice/Drinks** Mitsuwa Food Court in CM **SHORTREVIEW** I’m only rating on drinks and desserts. I stop, walk by here after ramen and curry rice. It’s located in the Mitsuwa Food Court and people only come here to Sky Express to eat if the lines are long at the other food places. I don’t think I’d ever eat here. Why come to this market to eat Chinese food? Makes no sense. But they do have ton of smoothies and ice desserts here! I love eating grass jelly so I’ll grab a grass jelly pudding to go, the mango pudding is good too! If you’re in the food court, don’t over-look this place. They have a ton of dessert options, slushies, smoothies, boba, milk ice, traditional hot Chinese desserts, if you are brave and have a chocolate sweet tooth, try the chocolate milk tea boba. Taro smoothie is good, banana smoothie is good, I see a lot of people buying drinks and desserts here. They have Thai Tea too. Who doesn’t like Thai Tea?! I used to drink that everyday with boba and top it with whip cream. Kind of over that now lol but idk, I cannot get over desserts. Kenzie is just a dessert-a-holic. Thanks for reading! ~*Kenzie*~
