Whataburger

The bun was very soft and so didn’t hold the filling too well. Fries were good. Asked for jalapeños on the burger, could have had more. Very good customer service though.

Great place drive thru personnel were very polite and friendly. Had a gilled chicken sandwich was delicious. Great job

Whataburger has a large variety in quality in there individual establishments. At this particular location the food does not seem to be on par with the average Whataburger. The food isn’t prepared well or in case of my situation old. I occasionally get two whatachicken sandwiches. One of them is juicy while the other one is like chicken jerky or something, I can’t stand to eat it it’s so dry and stringy. Other than that the restaurant appears clean enough and the service is pretty fast.

It’s super fattening fast food, and about 90% of the patrons I saw were obese. I was there during spring break so there were two armed guards at the door, wtf? Sure the classic burger has an old timey flavor reminiscent of In-​N-​Out but between the styrofoam cups (shame on you), the greasy weird burger combos and well… it’s just fast food flavor, I am confused why this place gets any more stars than any other fast food joint would. I think part of it is this joint is a part of the local culture, sort of like In-​N-​Out is for Californian’s (which I don’t get) people love What a Mess more than they should because they are raised that this is crème-​de-​la-​crap. Sorry, it’s just mediocre fast food. In the age of gourmet burgers it doesn’t rate. Sure if you need a cheap quick bite served in non recyclable containers it will fill you caloric intake for the next two days, but so would a tub of crisco for that matter.

This is a great whataburger. It is clean and the service is excellent. I have been dying to eat one of these and I am finally here. I recommend the #2 all the way with toasted buns on both sides.
Corpus Christi is the home of the Whataburger and was established in 1950. I will be here over and over again. I will also be at the gym over and over after this trip. Major poundage adding on
