Waited 20 mins for a grilled cheese to-go while watching 7 people behind the counter walk around… laxidasical attitude from everyone here, no sense if urgency…

After a couple of years of not coming here, tried it again. Ordered the same thing today that I ordered last night online. It came out more expensive because the cashier didn’t know how to sub the cup with a bowl for the«Choose Two» special. Anyhow, dined in today as opposed to picking up to go. I wish I hadn’t. This place is a wreck & falling apart. Dust everywhere, torn upholstery & paint falling off the walls. Get it together McAlisters! Food & drink is fine. Fix what’s broken and or worn out & I will continue to come back.

Idk about the food because it says«closes at 10:30» so when I walked in at 10:11 they had already put all the chairs up and said they were no longer serving…

Arrived Sunday before noon to grab lunch. I was able to enter and get my food within 15 minutes. Excellent squash soup! It’s very clean and employees friendly. I love the Christian music playing!

Employees don’t know their menu, whether it’s the front of the house or back of the house. It never fails, we always end up waiting an extra 15 mins on top of the 20 mins we’ve already waited to get the correct order. Ordered a chicken Cesar salad and I got a house salad with chicken. Never. Fails. It always happens after 5 too. Salad is good once they can figure it out, but its such a hassle!

Note to self NEVER go on a Sunday!!! Took ½ hour to order and waited for about 40 – 45 minutes to get our food… :( Great food but not enough staff members to accommodate a busy Sunday :(

My husband and I visit this McAlister’s location frequently(1 – 2 times per week), and usually it’s a great experience. The food is good and rightly priced. It’s a healthy, quick option for lunch and never disappoints. Shaka is a wonderful employee; she is always helpful and friendly. She checks on us just the right amount of times and makes sure we have everything we need. She deserves some recognition and a raise! Employee of the year!

I love McAlister’s! The food is reasonably priced, service is always friendly, and the food is almost always delicious. I only go after 2 o’clock or it is slammed and the wait time is atrocious. The only problem with this location is the inconsistency. They always seem to be out of things on certain days than others, and the flavor of the food can be off at times. The sweet tea and carrot cake have to be my favorite things, as well as the Reuben and mac and cheese. If you haven’t given them a chance, try it out! I recommend this place for a late lunch or light dinner! Will be back many more times!

Three and a half stars for reasonably priced, reasonably fresh food served with always friendly – but inconsistent – service. If you’re not in a hurry and want a wholesome, filling meal, this is your place. Mcallister’s features a broad menu of fresh salads, sandwiches, and soups that hit the spot rain or shine! Quality ingredients, flavor, and value alone would make this establishment a solid 4 star recommendation. Portions are generous – salads are HUGE, even the«cup» of soup is more like a bowl-sized serving, and potatoes are gi-normous! I recommend the half and half(half salad, half soup or sandwich option) as it offers the best of both fresh and hearty made with healthful, whole ingredients. Big kudos to the«spud olé!», a heaping helping of cheese, chili, salsa and jalapeños –highly recommended for those partial to starchy carbs. Counter service often has a line to the door, as McAlister’s is quite popular with the lunch crowd. Family friendly ambience is welcoming and staff take orders with a smile and fine Coastal Bend hospitality. The only potential blemish to sully McAlister’s otherwise quad-stellar rating in my book is the spotty wait time for odd things. On more than one occasion I have waited more than 20 minutes for my meal to be served. One time, we waited more than 15 minutes before being advised that there was no chili left – Something that really should’ve been apparent at the time of ordering or shortly after. Improved attention from management would likely prevent such snafus from occurring and eliminate long wait times for pre-prepared items such as salads and soups. Despite the potentially long wait times, McAlisters remains one of my favorite options for value, quality, and freshness in the coastal bend! – I just come when I am not rushed and can enjoy a leisurely meal.

Good food, but small portions. Usually I love going to the Dallas locations. But at this location, the service is usually subpar. The order takers don’t seem happy to be there like Heather S. This really makes me really not want to be here, if it wasn’t for the food being good. Also, if you are in a hurry, don’t come here because the service is really slow. Again, it must has to do with the lack of customer service. Don’t get me wrong, I have had a few happy people here, but they are few and far between. The weird thing too is that I have encountered a few of the customers as bigots. Looking down on people because of the color of their skin, imagine that being a bigot in a town that is probably 70% Hispanic. One last thing… There are usually a lot of tables that are left dirty with plates left on them.

The food tastes ok. The menu prices are high. When you call to make a phone order it is taken by a call center, not the deli restaurant on Saratoga. The many times I have phone ordered, I actually wait longer than if I had just ordered when I arrive. They don’t serve French fries. And honestly it is just too busy of a restaurant to enjoy. Good luck.

Always good, always fresh. I love their salads, unsweetened tea and obviously their sandwiches. Pretty good size portions for the price. It’s too hot here to love their spuds, but I would on a cold day.

Everytime we’ve eaten at McAlister’s it has been good. The restaurant is clean and food is fresh. The potato soup is awesome. The Big Nasty is a messy, ooey gooey plate of deliciousness! The salads are huge and tasty. Loved their peach tea when they had it. It can get busy and sometimes you do have to wait a while to order. The waitstaff is always friendly though. Overall a good dining experience.

Good food. Recommend the tortilla soup. Line was extremely long to order and only one register open. Understaffed.

It’s not too often I eat out and can’t receive items off the menu on a chain restaurant. Or eat in a clean place(see photo of public view). I ordered salad, water, and side of Mac and cheese. Well, no bottle water available. And, no Mac and cheese available until 20 minutes later. This was told to me only after I waited for 15 minutes for my To Go salad order, the Southwest Cobb. Sheesh. The reason? Too busy and it’s a popular item. I guess all the open tables were for people they expected to come in very soon. The kicker? My salad was missing half of the items that were supposed to be included(corn, tortilla strips and guac). I guess I paid 11 bucks for doctored up iceberg lettuce. Won’t be visiting again.

I love their broccoli cheese soup and paninis. Sweat tea is good. Don’t buy it by the gallon though. $ 10 per gallon.

Wide variety of selections on their menu, especially love their over-sized bakes potatoes! No problems during my lunch visit today, ordered the Chef Salad. It was huge! No complaints there though, salad doesn’t usually fill me up but this did a decent job of that. I love their sweet tea, best I’ve had!

I love their sweet tea(get a frequent tea buyer card if you are now addicted) plus the club cob. The soup, backed potato, was creamy and delicious. I will be back.
