IHOP

Came here to eat, got sat and no one even came to the table to ask us for our drinks. After 15 minutes we left, not even a hostest in site anywhere. Never again!

Poor example of a restaurant, who doesn’t know how to make a BLT??? Breakfast was disgusting! Never will return!

This was extremely poor service. Came in put name on list. Several people left lots of tables set up but everyone was told there was a hold in kitchen because they were having a hard time keeping up with orders. After a 25 minute wait several of us were seated at the same time. Long wait for food again. Not very good management

Never again will I come back here. First off When I walked in I heard the waitress tell the mexican female manager that the cook doesn’t want to remake the order that they messed up, and what is she suppose to do about it. The manager tells her to be quiet she’ll handle it in a minute. I should have took that as a bad sign and turned around and walked back to my car then. But no, Crazy me I stayed. It was 10:00am.The waitress who took our order had a attitude. It’s 11:00am. No food. Still waiting. Saw everyone that came after us get their food except us. Then came the manager to apologize that our food was coming out. It’s 11:30am. My sister’s food comes out. Her blueberry panckes were ice cold. It took about 15 minutes till we got a hold of someone to tell about the cold pancakes. I mind you my food hasn’t came out. 10min later. My steak omelet comes out, and their was nothing in between and one piece of steak on top covered with spinach??? 10 min later I get a hold of someone to change this out. My mom still hasn’t gotten her food.10 min later hers comes out hot with nothing wrong.20 min later still I’ve gotten no food. I finally flag down the manager and told her cancel my order and that I’m ready to go. She says ok. Brings me back a receipt refunding me and my sister’s meal, and says she took care of the ticket. Then brings another receipt back with my mom’s and sister’s meal on it. I then told her I thought you said you took care of the ticket. She said no You still have to pay for theirs. I then got aggravated and told her she was an sorry manager and that I’ve never met one as sorry as her and walked out.

Some of the fault of this review fall upon the location. It’s got a lot of people who come from the bars full of booze and they make idiots of themselves. It’s got staff which… for want of a better description… lacks class. Our food was delivered in far too long a wait, the waiter was more concerned about helping some girls at another table than making sure our drinks didn’t go empty and the bus person made as much noise as he possibly could… dumping glasses, cups and plates into the bus tray as roughly as he could.
The quality of the food left much to be desired. I ordered eggs «medium» or «over-easy…no runny whites». Well, they didn’t turn ‘em over and they were almost nothing BUT runny whites. Wife’s were slightly better, but still had runny whites. It’s not rocket science.
If this location closes, it will be a positive thing for the IHOP brand.

The food is delish. The tea is fresh ta def! Love the breakfast menu. Wait staff keeps it one hunnit! And the atmosphere is on fleek! Overall, no complaints

No stars. Sun morning 430am. Restaurant had a few tables left from bar crowd. Seated immediately then waitress took drink order and disappeared, we waited and waited. Music lord and annoying. Staff doing cleanup singing outloud to Prince. After 15 plus mins with no waitress in sight. We left. Mgr followed us to door asking if we were waited on and offering to wait on us himself. We went on and left… killer is we drove 15 miles from Calallen to go to IHOP. Now were going back toward home and Dennys.

Restaurant was empty and i been waiting for my food around 40 mins. Waiter forgot to place my order…

We came on a Friday night for dinner. There was one table seated in the restaurant and 2 waitresses. It took them awhile just to seat us and then forever to get our drinks and take our order. We ordered 2 kids pancakes and 2 regular orders of pancakes. It took them over 30 minutes to bring our food. This seems to be the service level at every IHOP I’ve been to across the nation lately. So disappointing that what was an amazing place to eat with great service is now falling apart.

I gave it a 4 because it was 4^th of July weekend, it was packed, and we still got great service. Food was good. It wasn’t expensive, so that was nice.
Due to heat, air conditioning indoors, etc., the vents were dripping condensation. No big deal though.
Nothing fancy about IHOP but we would go back.

We were seated and it took 15 minutes for a waitress to come by.
Middle of the meal we hear someone scream f: ck you a$$hole get the f out of here… plates breaking then stuff loudly banging the wall from the kitchen area and saw the manager come running out of the door. The slamming continued for a few more minutes then the angry looking little Mexican guy came out to gather plates and loudly slammed them in the tub as he went from table to table.
The whole section was just shocked. Asked the waitress and she said he’s not cooking so it’s ok.
I don’t live in corpus so maybe this is just how things are there.
Food was good and waitress was attentive after we got one.
This was Thursday ⁶⁄₁₈ 10am

Food and management left a lot to be desired this trip. I ordered a meal and asked to upgrade the pancakes to my favorite, the Harvest Grain and Nut pancakes. The pancakes were the last to arrive. The were hot and fresh. I spread the butter, cut the up and applied syrup. First bite, ugh, something was sour. Tried another, sour. Spousal confirmation. Waiter offered to get a new batch and swapped out the syrup. New syrup was fine. New pancakes. Tried without syrup. Sour. Realized it was the butter. Wife and son confirmed. Waiter said they would take the cost off and when asked, said that they offered discount to military.
Manager didn’t want to take the pancakes off when the waiter told him I didn’t eat them. I told him the butter was sour. He said the served thousands of pancakes without complaint but guessed he would take them off ($ 1.59). I showed him my military ID like the waiter said and the manager said that they don’t offer military discount. I said that the waiter said they did. He said that if his employees said they offered military they were wrong. He was rude and condescending and does not belong in the hospitality business. (My parents, grandparents and wife all owned restaurants)
I will never go back to this restaurant, I’m sure someone else in Corpus will appreciate my business.

Walked in and was told there was a 5 minute wait. During the 15 minutes of waiting, they had one couple walk out due to not getting there food. Bad sign right? We got seated and kept hearing the wait staff apologizing for the wait. I asked the couple beside us about the service. They said the service was fine but waited 30 minutes to get their food. So with all the bad signs, we left and went to Cracker Barrel and got seated immediately during the now noon.

IHOP in Corpus Christi serves various different pancakes and breakfast plates. Only plate I really like was the Cheese & Bacon Crepes and Blueberry Pancakes with butters. Nice cup of hot coffee is good there.
The problems I had encountered with are delay of services & requests, wrong or missing order, and sanitation. Workers in the kitchen were acting childish, playful, and talking too loudly. They didn’t bother to clean up the wet floor and do restroom maintenance.
Late at night, I would see drunk customers coming in with derogatory manners and interrupting other customers.

We were left unattended for 15minutes and I’m sad to say we were treated like crap. I’ve never seen an Ihop ran like this before. I will never return.

I didn’t get the chance to review IHOP. Here I is. It was cold. I sat in there for 2 hours after ordering a quick plate 2 eggs 2 bacon toast and hash browns. The waitress never checked on me and it wasn’t packed. People that came in roughly 1 hr after me got their meal right after I got mine. Tye reviews are right the service is horrible and 10.00 meal looked about 5 to me or less. Never going back.

Our poor waitress did everything she could to make everything right but things were not falling into place. A lot of inconsistencies with the food, had to send portions of the meal back three different times. at one point my friend that was with me swore something hit the back of her foot but I never saw anything.

We went during a slow time and we were seated pretty quickly, our waitress came over and asked what we would like to drink I asked for a sprite and she left to get the drinks. I realized when I opened the menu they had pepsi products (i don’t go often) so when she came back I said I don’t drink sierra mist can I get a pepsi? She made a face and tched at me she said you ordered that drink so drink it and then she added I won’t make you pay for it this time and went to get me a pepsi, so woweee she then brought the food with a check I guess she was mad that I didn’t want the sierra mist so she wanted us to leave. We ate our food and she never came back until the end to see if I had put money in the check holder. So naturally I was choking on my pancakes the whole time. Jeez the food was pretty good even though my plate was dirty. Cheese next to pancakes? I didn’t order cheese thanks though. Haha I’ll be back asking for a different waitress.

Ok. Usual IHOP fare. Service has not been good when we have been there.

The place is a little beat up, and you can tell its not exactly «fancy» but the people are nice and the food was great!
