Looking for good Italian food? Sorry, but unfortunately you will not find it on Coronado Island. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles across the bridge to Downtown or Little Italy. It is sad to say that this place is a disgrace to Coronado and I feel bad for the tourists who get trapped in this place– Yes, trapped … tourist trapped. I decided to give this place another chance when some family friends were in town from Mexico City. They were in the mood for Italian food but did not want to leave the Island. I am a fan of supporting local businesses, but I cannot even fathom giving this place yet another chance. Caprese Salad was lousy, Arrabiatta was not Arrabiatta, the bread was about two-three days old and the service was dreadful. I really hope that this place can pick up their service as well as the quality of their food.

Great Italian restaurant. Huge menu, good staff, food was fantastic. I would go back to this place anytime.

The food was decent, and at a fair price, but nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly, but seemed more focused on the job than on service. I ordered a ravioli dish with mushroom cream sauce, and while the sauce was indeed cream with mushrooms in it, it somehow ended up tasting more like country gravy. It’s conveniently located, walking distance to the beach without being so close that parking is an issue. Sitting outside gave a nice view of Coronado — possibly my favorite part of the meal. I wouldn’t mind returning here if I were in the area, but would probably try something else nearby first.

I went here for lunch and was really disappointed. Great service and nice patio dining, but the food was so incredibly average that I wondered how they do it??? There are so many other good places to Coronado, I won’t be trying it again.

The dishes are smaller than expected for $ 20, the food is average –nothing rememberable, the staff is very friendly, and the second floor outdoor patio is quite nice at night. I wouldn’t make any special trips here, but I wouldn’t mind eating here again if I’m in the area and craving Italian.

definitely too salty… service was spotty… we asked for al dente, and it was almost undercooked… the sauce was good, but again way too salty…

Walked in here for lunch after one of my dining companions turned down 1500 Ocean(why!!!). The dining terrace was nice and quiet. The service was attentive and solicitous. The food was SALTY as all hell. The tastiest thing was the side green salad – very good actually. The margherita pizza, spaghetti with meat sauce, and risotto special were extremely over salted – had to drink 3 glasses of water. Skip this place – unless you have some salt-wasting disease(there are some out there). I hope I get to go to 1500 Ocean next time.

A lovely Saturday afternoon luncheon for two. The second floor deck had shaded seating options and was less noisy than some of the other restaurants we passed on the street level.(Indoor seating was also available) Service was efficient but not obtrusive and the Chianti Classico I ordered was served at the proper temperature. My husband had a small salad and a pizza — the sauce was delightfully fresh and the crust very crisp. I had the pasta special with smoked chicken and pesto primavera — al dente pasta, good chicken, and vegetables that still had a bit of life to them. Very relaxing lunch and reasonably priced for the area!

I went here for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. They changed their menu because of Valentine’s Day. All the food I got was too salty. I could’ve found better food for cheaper somewhere else. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. Nice patio, nice lights, good service. That’s the only reason why I’m giving it any stars at all.

Found this place by accident. once a friend was staying at the Loews in Coronado and ordered some pizza from a «place down the street». It was so good years later I remembered it only as the place that started with a «T». Driving thru Coronado looking for it, I thought this place was it, only to discover, it wasn’t. But what a great surprise! The food was EXCELLENT. I’m picky with my Italian food and this is on my top five list. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic, tasty Italian meal in a more upscale environment. I wish I could find the website with the menu items so I could tell you what we got, but try it out for yourself. I really don’t think you can go wrong here. Great for birthdays, anniversaries, impressing out-of-towners. close to the Hotel Del and shopping.

Excellent food, outstanding service, nice atmosphere. There were three of us, and we each ordered a different special of the day. I had a pasta sampler that was simply amazing. The food was served piping-hot and was very tasty. The calamari were the best I’ve had. The broiled garlic bread(extra charge) was not nearly as good as the free bread they brought to the table. Servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. A really nice outdoor patio. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you want to have a really nice dinner. We paid about $ 50 per person(including tax and a good tip), not including alcohol. The food was simply exceptional.

Upstairs from El Cordova, if you don’t like the stairs, there is an elevator(ADA) The atmosphere is very nice the patio facing Orange avenue has a view. The pastas are good, they have northern Italian specialties. Service can be spotty. They have a full bar and a fair wine selection, served the red way too warm. Close to the Hotel del Coronado. For people who take the Trolley tour, it is a short walk to the Coronado Beach stop. It is difficult to find a parking place during lunch or dinner time.

Went here last night for a nice Italian meal. The restaraunt is located up a short flight of stairs and is decorated very nicely inside. We sat in a patio section and were promptly given a very kind waiter and then a basket of delicious bread! The menu is pretty big, most of your typical Italian dishes(Spaghetti with meatballs, Ravioli, Lasange, Steak, Parmigiana…) Most of the pasta dishes are $ 13-$ 18 while the meat dishes are over $ 20. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which was absolutely delicious! Theres nothing better than homemade meatballs. The pasta was also good as well! After our meal we were presented with a dessert platter with all of the different selections. Unfortunately our group had already planned to get gelato afterwards so we had to pass. This is a very cozy and romantic restaraunt. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDIT! Very nice staff and very prompt on refilling water!
